The entire problem with Reave can be summarized with "it's 2026, what are you doing here?" It requires way too much work, far too much investment, and an excessive amount of effort to do what most other frames can accomplish by casting two abilities. Maybe in the pre-Jade Shadows dates of Warframe, you could make the case for Reave, but that is simply not the case anymore.
I had it save my ass in ETA when I had no good weapons. Actually chunked necramechs, viral procs help a ton

The piss is now old, or in other words I've beaten Old Peace. It was okay, I'll need to get Urinal Uriel at some point, fuck DE for not giving a free Tauron strike.

At least my EDA/ETA are gonna be easy. One has Wisp, the other has my Exodia Contagion Zaw as a melee choice.

What are these

Kind regards from 2016
Elite Deep/Temporal Archimedea, basically the successors to the eight-man Trials from back then. Three missions back-to-back, with mission and player-specific modifiers to make things more difficult (ranging from "a fair challenge" to "was this even playtested").

It was bizarre at the time reading how overbearingly positive some people were about the writing, It was utter crap, what weird tastes they must have. It didn't compute how screwed in the head they were, or that they were putting tens of thousands of hours in, were miserable and lonely, and were desperate for anything to engage their emotions. I think thats also why the game later went so hard into the dating sim stuff.
Lots of Warframe's story is well presented for what it is, but also very shallow and falls apart if you think about it for too long, it falls into the trap of how fanboys treat Final Fantasy XIV's story where they slobber over certain parts because they're good for MMOs, but not really in comparison to alot of other things. Its also babby's first space opera for many, and it being entwined with retarded le eldritch horror shit really draws out the pseuds who think its a high intelligence story meant for connoisseurs of esoteric shit. You can see how shallow it is once they cant use the New War's setpieces to cover up for the retarded bits. Especially with the retarded dating minigames, instead of giving you some crumbs of character development on a budget they give you shallow wish fulfillment on par with or even worse than Japanese dating sim shit

It also doesn't help that they really tripped on their own shit with dumb things like Eternalism and time travel. Both of those things (Eternalism is basically "everything happens and is canon tee hee") are legendary for causing writing to dumpster in terms of quality.

It is honestly criminal that they don't even give you a free Tauron Strike after The Old Peace, but effectively half of one via the materials as a reward for that quest. And that they then have a bundle on the market for enough materials for a full one in exchange for plat, but you can only buy it once per account leaving the other 4 to be grind-only.

None of this would even be so much of a problem if you didn't get so fucking little of the materials involved from actually playing The Perita Rebellion, but even on Steel Path the amount of those materials you get at the end is a pittance and you're left having to do up to 30 runs total for each Strike.

At least it's fun enough to play though. Sevagoth utterly shreds through the enemies there since they like to group up so much, to say nothing of Mesa.

DE really needs to reintroduce old story-relevent Operations as quests.
I think they should just rotate them in and out every 2 weeks and put up more modernized rewards. Like IDK give us a shit ton of Steel Essence/ Tauron Strike Materials if you do the SP.
Honestly, an entire Nightwave season focusing on Alad V (covering all the early Operations he was involved in) is entirely possible. Since some of them had different outcomes (all these were prior to consoles syncing up with PCs), any inconsistencies can be chalked up to eternalism Nora's sources not being reliable.

I hope the nidus changes are enough to justify busting mine out again. He has 2 umbral forma.

personally i find the tauron strike stuff to be grind slop. at the end of the day it doesnt make you meaningfully more powerful outside level cap or maybe some fucked up eda/eta

The strikes themselves are basically meaningless for the most part, but the Operator mods are a big power spike; it's a lot of damage and PSF in a place where that power was traditionally much harder to come by.
Not really strictly needed - you could already one-cycle SP Void Angels and delete Eidolons if you knew what you were doing - but having one strike on your favourite school makes places where the Operator is required a lot smoother.

Props at least to our French waifu Marie for letting us buy some of the Tauron Strike resources from her each day in exchange for the other crafting resources dropped in The Perita Rebellion. It's not a lot of it each time, but any passive option like that certainly beats having to actively grind so much more.

Finally got my first tauron, specifically Lorak. Am I reading it right that at max upgrades this shit gives you 4 pages that grant +45% ability strength, duration, and cast speed each? That's fucking nuts, especially for the frames I play (Wisp, Mesa, Cyte, Gyre, Mirage, basically weapon platform frames). Fucking +180% to those stats is insane.

Also reminds me to finish up Fortuna and then Little Duck so I finally get an amp that isn't shit (X77 instead of my current 243).

I'd still take Madurai over Zenurik on Wisp, you get a fatter strength bonus for the reservoir snapshot.
