Literally the only saving grace to this bullshit is the fact that the free color palette is easily the best in the entire game. Wide variety of colors, a true black and true white option.

All that aside, new Warframe has been revealed and Equinox found dead in ditch. It's basically like Ice Climbers (or Tainted Jacob and Esau from BoI) where you control one of the two and the other acts like a Spectre a la Wu-Klone. Hold any ability to swap between them at will. Each of them have their own set of abilities in a yin and yang and are modded separately, though they will have an Omni polarity. Should be interesting to see how Helmith works.

In addition, we got a look at the Stug and Vectis Incarns and they look pretty solid; once we can get out hands on them for modding, I'm sure they'll do some serious damage. Dante continues to be the carry frame with his first augment letting him restore energy for teammates. Temple also gets an augment that... does not fucking matter, let's be real. The Sculptor Arcane looks to be pretty spicy and the Compression one is going to need to be mathed out. We also got a look at Styanax Prime which is going to be the next Prime. Nidus is also getting a nice touchup, though it remains to be seen how good his 1 will be for damage and his 4 continues to be what you Helmith over.

All in all, plenty to look forward to in June. Oh, and turn in your Volatile Motes before the event ends.

Matters little to me considering I pretty much exclusively use Smoke for all my current "fashion". Is it a boring filler palette? Probably, but it still looks good enough for me.

Also, I do look forward to trying out Sirius & Orion as well, but I couldn't stop thinking about the comparison a friend of mine made between then and Mario & Luigi upon seeing their colour scheme. It's too fucking funny.

I was actually playing the first M&L game not that long ago, so seeing what is basically "Mario & Luigi" in Warframe is like... whoa.

Heyo, bit of a busy weekend so apologies that my kiwi summary of Devstream 196 came in late:
Our 65th(/66th?) Warframe to be added. The son of Stalker and Jade, all grown up, but from two divergent timelines. Thanks to time magicks the "twin brothers" (technically the same person) occupy a single Warframe slot, with the pointman determined by the player after their respective quest (EDIT: You can only switch the pointman once a day. Chances are this is temporary because of how novel their idea is relative to the game's code). I'll be using Sirius as the "main" since that's who the devs had up front:
  • As mentioned, their main shtick is that you control one of the brothers at any given time, with the other brother assisting as an invulnerable specter. You can switch the active Warframe by hold-casting the first three abilities, which switches the other brother in and casts their version of the ability. Switching them gives their next ability cast 45% efficiency (encouraging frequent switching, this also means they can hit the efficiency cap with just Streamline) and adds a colored pip to a seven-dot constellation above their abilities (which is essential for their 4).
  • Each brother will come with their own separate mod configurations and color customizations, allowing them to have different mod setups and color schemes. Their aura slot will come with an Omni polarity.
    • Their first ability is Coronal Ejection/Gravitic Slash. Sirius throws a spectral, boomeranging scythe that sets enemies on fire while collecting pickups en route. Orion does a broad, short-ranged swipe that deals heavy slash damage and strips armor.
    • Their second ability is Jade Stars/Astral Shell. Sirius summons seven sparks that give his (and Orion's) attacks extra heat damage, and all of them are consumed if he deals damage with abilities. Orion gets a buff that leaves a decoy the next time he takes damage, drawing aggro and absorbing damage before exploding (I could be wrong on the specifics here though, Pablo was a bit vague).
    • Their third ability is Light's Sanctuary/Event Horizon. Sirius creates a zone that heals allies, gives them additional damage resistance the longer they stay in the zone, and can revive allies that die within it with a one-minute cooldown. Orion throws out a slow-moving black hole that pulls enemies in and damages them. The more enemies it picks up and kills, the stronger it gets and the longer it lasts. The black hole can also be pulled towards/pushed away from the two using their 1.
    • Their final, shared ability is Celestial Clash, where the brothers take up scythes and start swinging at each other, dealing AoE damage to enemies in range. Each strike corresponds to a pip on the constellation UI, and matching the color shown (presumably via LMB/RMB for PC players) increases the damage and crit chance of each swing, with the final strike dealing damage in a larger area. The two of them are invulnerable while casting this.
    • EDIT: Got an update on how Helminth works on them: sacrificing one of them offers both abilities (in their case, its their 2), but you can only infuse one ability (in hindsight, understandable. Roar + Xata's Whisper on the same frame is OP as shit).
  • Their signature weapon(s) are the Pride/Wrath heavy sycthes. They're separate weapons despite it just being the same weapon but flipped, and the stats displayed were placeholders.
  • Of course, they're gated behind the Jade Shadows: Constellations quest, which has you dealing with their mutual existential crisis alongside their mentors/protoframes Ryoku and Vena.
  • As for additional parts/signature weapons/turning their swaddles into themed syandanas, you'll have to venture to Pontis Tower in the newly-added Uranus Proxima. It basically boils down to siding with one of the mentors at the start, doing some tasks to draw the opposing capital ship out, then boarding it to defeat their rival. You'll be used their railjacks in lieu of your own ride (ostensibly to make RJ more accessible to new players, though vets' jimmies are rustled).
  • Jade Shadows: Constellations drops on June 17 (sadly Father's Day falls on June 21 so we won't get release date kino like with Jade Shadows in 2024).
  • We're getting our next Prime, and it's Styanax Prime along with Afentis Prime and Athodai Prime. Using design sketches originally from Mynki (so that's one more legacy he gets to leave behind, good on him), and for once Liger's fetishes did not leak out in the final product (IMO); Greco-Roman stuff always had sculpted abs and Styanax's "nipples" were actually done rather tastefully.
  • Speaking of Railjack content, we're getting an experimental SP Railjack mode. Levels will only get a +50 boost, and since they're figuring out how to implement Acolyte spawns, Eximus units will drop Steel Essence instead. This is experimental however, so DE may remove it in case it doesn't work out.
  • We're getting four new augments, one each for Dante, Koumei, Nokko, and Temple. Dante and Temple's augments were previewed:
    • Dante gets Noctua Swarm: now the Noctua's alt-fire will summon paragrimms/spectral owls that swarm wherever Dante is aiming at, damaging enemies and restoring energy to allies.
    • Temple has Rythym Guard: Casting an ability in tune with his metronome grants overguard that scales with every beat hit, losing the multiplier when you drop the combo. Honestly this feels kinda redundant since you can leech off his 3's invulnerability with enough casting speed bonuses, and Arcane Circumvent lets you steal overguard (and extra defenses) from enemies anyway.
  • Four new arcanes, two displayed: Arcane Sculptor (abilities that summon objects grant an ability efficiency bonus for a duration, and can be refreshed) and Primary Compression (built for explosive weapons, aiming sacrifices blast radius in exchange for damage and ammo efficiency for every meter of AoE lost).
  • Showcasing two of the five upcoming Incarnon forms: Vectis (shots leave an orb that pulses cold damage on bodyshots, but does a delayed, freezing explosion on headshots. Since alt-fire controls zoom level while scoped, you'll only be able to switch into and out of Incarnon mode while unscoped) and Stug (shots are now delayed cluster bombs that spray even more GES, and it charges with bodyshots. I foresee Blast-having shenanigans with Secondary Enervate).
  • Nidus's earlier-mentioned retouch is also arriving with Constellations.
  • The much-maligned Uranus Defense/Interception map is getting a token trail showing which defense objective needs protection this wave.
  • We'll now be able to randomize individual color channels, rather than risk losing an interesting-looking color scheme just because your finger slipped.
  • Mesa's Heirloom skin is dropping on July 11, around the same time as TennoCon.
  • Due to an upcoming surgery, Rebecca will not be attending TennoCon in person. The surgery's schedule also landed on July 11, and it's important enough that she can't reschedule it. Here's to a swift recovery.

See you on June 17.

I bet they're either gonna make eximus spawns very rare or they'll have a super low chance of dropping steel essence. For those that weren't around, originally in regular SP you'd get steel essence from eximus units back in the day and you could farm it way more efficiently. Then DE introduced acolytes and nerfed the hell out of the steel essence grind.

"Nice of the Lotus to invite us over to the Relay, eh Sirius?"

Got Uriel now, and have Limbo Prime being built for premium grade griefing.
For Warframe designs I generally take ideas from elsewhere as inspiration. As an example the Wisp skin that gives her a wizard hat I gave her a Red Mage style colour palette. Also for Dante I just tried to make him vaguely look like Dante from Limbus Company.

No more normal sanctuary onslaught for me.
For others who still haven't hit MR30, I wouldn't advise doing Sanctuary Onslaught for frame leveling anyways. Just slap whatever generic survival mods you have capacity for on the unleveled framed and just hop on some grind with a powerful gun. You can passively level it while doing relics and the like.
>tfw i did most of my mastery farming on Hydron and ESO
>tfw i'm still missing a regular Khora component from regular SO
>tfw i'd need to find kavat genetic codes and kuaka spinal claws again for the uncrafted components

:lossmanjack:
Components to actually build the frame aside, you can get Khora from Circuit as well so you don't need to spam SO to get her parts.

Way to tattle on yourselves with that title, ya parasites.
At least they have enough self awareness to recognize themselves as the yeast infection they are.

Legit can't go to subreddit in order to see what's new without having to hide a bunch of pride posts on the same fucking page this time of year, every year. I hope to live to see the day when this flag is gone for good.

For those willing to watch streams on Twitch (and have an account that's linked to your WF account), you can get a free Dante on June 5 by watching any stream in the Summer Game Fest directory for 30 minutes.
Another one for the MR Grind...

Also, just to put into perspective how faggy the mainstream side of this community is, Streamframe, the stream helping site I usually use to keep track of the AFKs I have to do.... Has just started including pronouns of the streamers now.

Dante is not one you want to dismiss as just mastery fodder. He's probably one of the strongest frames in the game at the moment in terms of both supportive and offensive capability, what with being able to give yourself and your whole squad literal tens of thousands's worth of Overguard as standard, and an exalted Tome weapon that can be built to melt just about anything in front of you.

If you haven't gotten Dante yet in advance, the fuck have you been doing? For me this drop at least helps me get him again easily to send to the Helminth, plus the extra frame slot is always nice.
