I just primed my Black Templar Terminators with Thunder Hammers (I call them "Thundernators" for short).
I'm glad I bought the Forge World Black Templar Storm Shields when I did because they're gone now.

At least it stars the Imperial Guard, my favorite faction. Utterly sick of Spesh Mareens.

People overlook or mock the Imperial Guard but the Guard has always been a central part of the Imperium. They hold the line against the disgusting hordes that threaten it but when they fight they fight with courage and resolve that would leave even the most proud among the Space Marines humbled. They're soft and weak, their armor and weapons are pathetic compared to a Space Marine but they still have heart and they're the ones that the Emperor of Mankind sacrificed everything to protect, including his beloved son Horus.

While we are on the topic of the Imperial Guard, does anyone here have any insight into when GW will have a restock of the Cadian Defense Force box, or even their Basilisks?

I have contacted GW, but no luck getting a reply. I need me a Cadian Defense Force Box!!

Next to the monolith the landspeeder is one of the worst kits I’ve had to put together.

One of my friends has 3 monoliths, there was a time where we were supposed to go out for a few drinks and when we picked him up he had glue in hair, and was in a pissy mood for a while after putting them together.

Primer: Macragge Blue Spray
Shade along lines and grooves: Drakenhoff
1st layer: heavy dry brush of Calgar blue (by heavy I mean load up the brush and press harder)
2and layer: light brush of fenrisian grey
Final stage: dunk wash in a pot of dark tone Army painters shade to tie together everything

So I needed spray paint today only to find out from the local blue shirt that caliban green has been discontinued along with the fang. Hardly worth the journey but despite my first world problems did anybody who went in store to buy indomitus manage to get a copy?

Also a new SoB model that's not interesting enough for me to upload a picture of. Looks like every other SoB to me.
To the surprise of no one, Space Marines and Necrons getting a new codex.

Yeah, my local store had a bunch. Also bought the new Necron technical paint which I'm hoping to use to spruce up some of my older necron models.

Primaris Predator tanks are meh. I'm 50/50 on the Monolith, I really like the Necron emerging, but not the blade arch things on top. I'm guessing the Soritas Palatine is a SoB Lieutenant, no longer content with making endless primaris versions, Geedubs will be making for other (human) factions.

Rumor is the new starter box will be Astartes vs Tau. Also seems like a lot of Forge World stuff is getting axed

The description says that the model is equipped with a master crafted heavy bolt rifle. That's a new weapon, could be a bolt rifle with strength 5 and 2 damage? Looking at the model's shape that might be the alternative to the power sword/storm shield captain.

I would like to see the next codex give primaris characters the ability to mix wargear instead of monobuilds. There is not much of an excuse to do so, they gave Chaos thunder hammers only because one model comes with that weapon.

I don't like the weathered edges and cracked stone on the monolith. The stone looks like an old asphalt road. The cool thing to me about Necron buildings and vehicles is the sharp edges and flat surfaces so this really runs counter to that.
