I would like to add a heartfelt thumbs up for the BL novel The Infinite and the Divine. If you're a Necron fan, you'll enjoy this as it's the tale of Trazyn and Orikan spending 10,000 years fucking with each other over this artifact they're fighting over.

I really need to stop reading this thread drunk, legit took me a second to remember BL means black library, not boy's love...

What are you talking about? Orikan and Trazyn are clearly struggling with their feelings towards each other they just don’t know how to express it. They are the OTP of 40K it’s as boy love as boy love can get for some muder bots.
You just wait for them to throw Iluminor Szeras into the mix for some weird dynastic agent love triangle and it turns out that Szeras was in fact Orikan’s childhood friend and senpai also who had feelings for him

Is there even a point to that? I really can't think of any.
The only time I remember jump-pack-less Assault Marines being a thing is the Siege Assault Vanguard list from Imperial Armor 10. You could take a squad of ten Siege Assault Marines with no jump packs, but in exchange they were troops instead of fast attack, got access to plasma, melta, and grav guns, everyone in the squad could have melta bombs and combat shields, and they could take Land Raiders as DTs. I don't recall ever seeing a list that used them, though, since the SAV also gave you access to tactical squads with siege mantlets and they were more or less impossible to kill, so anyone who played that list just took three squads of those.

At one point Trazyn leaves a pack of Catachan devils in Orikan's spaceship, and Orikan retaliates by deactivating the stasis systems in the Ork section of Trazyn's galleries. It's really hard not to laugh at the absurdity of these two immortal murderbots feuding like a pair of angry old men from opposites sides of a long-gone war.

While I think the 4chan synopsis plays up the humor (I found the first Ciaphas Cain novel much more witty), I have found it very enjoyable. Much better writing of Necron characters than Indomitus.

On a tangent, I think I figured how I'm going to paint my Recruit box Necrons, iridescent pearl white for the armored sections, gold for the mechanical joints and bits.

Do you know how to pull off a white like that? I’ve tried but I’ve never been able to.

Getting paints ordered before shit shuts down again and I can paint my chaplain. Also looking into materials for my kill team board/s. One will deffo be industrial / factory but the other I’m debating a forest or desert.

Ordered some paints, needed $10 more to bump it up to free shipping (since shipping is $10), got 5 Resin Plasma guns. And the Chaplain, of couse.

I've got ~7 Tac Marines mostly put together, need to paint their arms and guns. I also have 5 Grey Knight torsos + legs put together and primed on cocktail sticks.

Looking at my Assault Squad and Devestator Squad, there are enough extra bits that I think I can use some of the Grey Knight Torsos to make a few extra Dev / Assault marines. I really wish I had thought of that before putting the arms on the Tac Marines, as Mixing that up would have been nice. Ah well.

Apparently my FLGS has a Knight in stock, I thought it was a special box (some unique knight character) but apparently they re-released the Knight... Warden? box in 2018 with an additional sprue for said special character, and you can still build a shitload of different knights with it. You aren't regulated to the special character.

Because apparently Custodes weren't low-model-high-points enough. I clearly need Knights, too.

Got my $25 "voucher" and of course it came with an offer to get another one for the low low price of 175.

Cheeky twats!

So order my stuff from GW and standard postage takes two days to dispatch. Then up too a further 3 working days to arrive so my stuff might not arrive until next Wednesday at the latest. *sigh*

I would have went to my local stores but they’re both bang in the middle of some of the worst effected areas in the country.

I know I was shitting on multi wound Necrons earlier in the thread but I’m really liking how Skorpehk Destroyers look right now.

>He didn't buy multiple Indomitus boxes for his necron army.

I shiggy diggy.

Not for the price they were charging I wasn’t.
>400 for 40 warriors, 6 destroyers, the reanimators and the hg choices. Plus a bunch of space marine shit you can flip instantly, really making it like $200-250

>$55 for 3 destroyers...

@Snekposter gaze upon and cope at the doctor's signature. 265.jpg

Can't speak for him but I played 3e/4e Necrons; I don't need any more warriors. I plan to just buy the three skorpekhs from a recaster for a third of the price since doubling up on all the other stuff doesn't appeal to me.

Youll never get your 10000 points of necrons for true 40k talking like that.

Weren’t entire necron half’s going for cheap on indomintus on eBay? I’d say that’s a better necron building way.

Then you make some money with the space marines bud, this is why you're a goyim.
