The sad thing is, I want Killteam to work, so badly, because it's the best way to get new players into the hobby and let me branch out into collecting other forces without accidentally collecting 8000 points of Space Marines all over again. And they're fucking it up.
It’s suffering from the same issues as 40K and AoS now which is rules bloat. Also its not as simple as GW make it out since the starters they brought out didn’t even have 100 points a side. The first starter set had only 70 something points of GSC and about 80 something points of Mechanicus. If they really wanted it to expand it should have been as easy as buy a box of dudes and pick from a list of universal upgrades.
Necrons were DOA at launch, also lack of individual daemons lists and no rules for chaos marks in the beginning was another craptastic move. The only good skirmish games they did was necromunda and mordheim.

The only 40k shooter I'll accept is a game that plays like Space Marine but with more factions (Eternal Crusade needs not to apply).

I hope we see an animation sample soon.

Chris Wraight's twitter also mentions that he plans on making a 3rd Custodes book soon.

Apparently they're going to reboot the Horus Hersey tabletop game.

My immediate thought is if I was going to backdoor retcons to the lore I'd be doing a reboot of the HH tabletop so the woke hipsters can get into it directly instead of having to built off of non-woke roots. But I'm negative as shit nowadays.

Some changes to the rules but not much. Plastic Models in the new starting sets. That's why the HH Rhino went poof -- it's being redone in plastic. Not sure if it'll be a Burning of Prospero, Betrayal at Calth, Siege of Terra, box.

"Different Marks of Armor in Plastic." "Forge world is definitely investing in plastic for armor." So HH Infantry might be done as Plastic instead of Resin going forward.

I’m sure it’s been mentioned on the thread before but GW really shut themselves in the foot by not continuing betrayal at calth boxes on forge world. The only reason HH seen such a boom in popularity because for once they released an affordable starter force.

If they do release another HH boxed game it will be another limited time run and HH will again fizzle into nothing despite being pretty damn good and fun to play.

Just give me back those Rhinos and produce plastic Mark II armor and I'll shut up, GW.

How much worse could they make 30k lore?

Why does everything have to be some sort of conspiracy theory?

I'd be surprised if this is true, Forgeworld's HH range is under performing and has veen for a while now, GW are wanting them to shift forcus to supporting the mainstream releases and specialist games but there's some pushback from the heads of FW who want to keep churning out different flavours of spess marine.

If it is true i can't see it being more than a stop gap measure to rake in some dough, i doubt long term support will be forthcoming and to be frank, good, FW was always best making warhammer upgrades and superheavies from Epic.

It's gonna be plastic mark V, a new box. And they are gonna change rules in way to where they can stop making black books.
HH used to be pretty big, and the whole reason why it died off is because there was no support or boxes to get new blood in the game.

If they did just put out a starter box, and converted some stuff to plastic. HH would probably be competing with AoS. As much as we like to bitch, people just fucking love space marines.

What's the best primaris model to use for basing. The local shop had a couple matches going, and as you'd expect it was incursors vs bikes vs eradicators vs lieutenants all around. Kinda felt inspired to "honour" the monks in armor.

I mean look at the AoS slaanesh releases all the praise it got for creativity and it barely sold out while things like blade guard or primaris chaplain on bike were still flying. It’s like the old sisters of battle “fans” kept asking for a new army, they get it, and make excuses over why they won’t buy it now because “GW made them ugly” or “uhhhh too expensive no thanks”

Marine paypigs are really the only people who buy shit.

I got the overpriced Blood of the Phoenix for the plastic banshees and Jain Zar, and then GW proceeded to make them an even worse choice for melee elites (and that was before they made overwatch irrelevant on 9E). They'll reward your stupid minis only as long as they are Space Superheroes™

Expect even when marines were bad people still bought them the problem I see now is they are too good and it’s mostly what people buy.
