You don't like Space Marines to begin with, so why do you care about something you were never considering having in any of your armies?
By that definition, you aren't the target audience.

Eh, I'd play a couple of specific chapters, but they're lame in general.

It's boring because it's an end all discussion line. Like sure, I don't like it so I'm not the target audience. That in no way refutes the actual point, though. It's pretty much a "meh, whatever".
 
I dont like space marines i think they are boring and gay. I will now point out how this specific part of the range is boring in and gay.

Um can you please give me a reasonable reply? My header to this conversation was totally grounds for a more nuanced conversation how can you reply "well i like it" when i said it was stupid and gay? You need to give me 1000 points on how my opinion is wrong so I can just say its stupid and gay.

The joy of shitposting I guess. For real though. do people actually like the aesthetics or are the rules just good for the models?
 
In other news. GW fugged my order today! Ordered an orruk codex, went to my door to get my box. Opened the box. not only did I find stormcast eternal battletome. I found a limited edition one! Considering this book is $70+. I'm very happy with this fuck up and will just get my real codex later.

Every model is someone's favorite. You can debate how well it fits the range, its price points, its overall aesthetic, its realism, whatever the fuck you want. But the second you ask "does anyone actually like this" the answer will always be yes. Its really a silly question. There are people that actually like the tacticool marines. There are even chapters out there that are a better fit for them then just having standard marine with punch of charms all over him.

Every model is someone's favorite. You can debate how well it fits the range, its price points, its overall aesthetic, its realism, whatever the fuck you want. But the second you ask "does anyone actually like this" the answer will always be yes. Its really a silly question. There are people that actually like the tacticool marines. There are even chapters out there that are a better fit for them then just having standard marine with punch of charms all over him.

It was more of a "do people in general", not "does any single person". Is there a strong push from the 'community' to create more tacticool, or is that just GW making whatever and people buy em and just shrug? I guess that might not be a fair question without some sort of metrics. For the record I pay absolutely zero attention to the community outside of peeking into the asylum over at dakkadakka once in a blue moon.

people running tacticool only armies are a rarity amoung space marine players. Doing pure phobos armor is a gimmick that people definitely use from times to times. Its just a gimmick army just pure conscript guard.

Speaking of limited edition books, anybody hear anything regarding The Sabbat Worlds Crusade book?
I pre-ordered the Made to Order purple book, but I've heard nothing as to when that is supposed to be churned out.

So on another note, anyone here do oil paints and know if I can remove months old oil from a model I forgot about due to lack of hobby time? If it helps any, it was applied over a double coat of gloss clear coat.
 
So i just looked in this LE rule book. Apparently they only made fucking 700 of these? Do you think I completely cucked someone out of theirs? or was this wrong from the moment I ordered it in the system?
 
I called my local redshirt to ask his opinion. I think I'll just GW eat shit on that one.

I'd feel worse if there was something actually exclusive in the book. But it's just the normal battle tomb with a fancy cover

TL;DW Arch is an edgy Norwegian autismo who reddit and GW don't like, so Arch must be wrong.

Warhammer hentai merchant whines about Arch commissioning smutty Star Wars art for his playthrough while peddling hentai.

Arch made edgy Discord comments, which bad because he's an old man, but it's okay when Majorkill did it, because he was 'just a kid.'

At this point, I hope GW just wipes all of these YT dipshits like a cyclonic torpedo.
