Played my custodes for the first time since the codex and holy fuck are they dirting. The teleporting term captain is nuts and the katahs are crazy. Finally the custodes are were they deserve. On top.

Squats got that dump truck butt

I'd laugh so hard if Deep Rock Galactic sues GW for ripping off their design.
Why would they sue lol the DRG have the indie golden child money train now no way they throw that out the window.

Plague Lord update. Metallics now base coated and screamer pink added to the cape which makes it really pop.

Just the face and handle of the scythe left to base coat.

Is the cape supposed to look like writhing maggots? Cuz dam it sure came out with that paint job you did.
Thanks! GW had sculpted some maggots into the cape and there are quite a few I just don’t want to pick out because of how small they are. It is for an armies on parade entry so I’m going to have to do that eventually.

So I just heard a somewhat old rumor that the corporate GW offices has a fairly substantial Mormon clique among the staff. Does anyone know if there's some merit to this since why the fuck would there be Mormons in Britain of all places and looking at their prices I would of bet a different religious group calling the shots.

The Mormons arrived in Britain at the very beginning of the reign of Queen Victoria. Shamelessly copied and pasted but if they're anything like the Mormons they'll have a fuckton of children from different wives so maybe.

Any chance they'll outbreed the massive influx of Muslims?

That's interesting but even if GW HQ has a full on congregation somewhere on their campus, I don't know how if special underwear explains any bit of GW being well GW.
Maybe it's why there so far not as insurable as companies like Wizards of the Coast but there's probably a whole lot of more plausible reasons.

Are the mormons behind the continuously raising of prices and the bland, less grimdark art tone in recent codices.

Better yet, were they responsible for turning it from colorful metal album cover sci fi into grimdark?

You are crazy if you think 9th codexes are lacking proper art. The 9th Death Guard art in the codex shits on whatever 8ths attempt was.

Personally I was sceptical about squats but they look pretty good, but if they don't end up getting that Land Train unit I'll be really disappointed.

If they do it will probably be something similar to the Ork Battle Wagon without the additional cars.
My monkey-brain idea has it being an actual train of models, with the engine at the front pulling along segments of your choice such as an infantry transport carriage, a heavy weapons segment like the WW2 railway guns, anti-infantry segment loaded up with a bunch of plasma turrets, maybe even a generator segment that gives a 5+ invulnerable or something.

Maybe I'm retarded but I think it'd be a great way to establish a returning faction and give it unique mechanics.

I’m pretty sure Chaos Dwarves had something similar with their war machines looking like trains.
