What story?
Basically how its because of GW theyre canning the series, cause "muh poor youtuber! Muh cannot afford lawyers against big mean GW", despite that GW never issued 'em any C&Ds to begin with. An in reality the Emperor guyz just didnt wanna do the series anymore, but wanted to keep that sweet patreon money.

What are they doing now?

I remember those two being in the Hunter The Reckoning videos from the start. The views aren't good because the series itself isn't good. Only character that I remember enjoying in the series before I gave up on it was NotDorn.

Basically making a Hunter the Reckoning stuff, when it started the view numbers were so bad they had to bring in Not!Emperor and Not!Kitten to get some of their audience back.
Nah they were there in the first episode(they're in the thumbnail). Although it seems they have fallen back into the same pattern...

The main series animations with a bunch of characters and needing more people to help doing voice work is the popular shit. While most of the other stuff they've produced over the past couple of years only gets half the views, while tyring to supplement the channel content with other things like playing a tabletop RPG, and they drastically slowed down production of the "main show" Hunter: The Parenting

Dec. 18, 2021 episode 1
Mar. 13, 2022 episode 2
May 13, 2022 episode 3
Mar. 9, 2024 episode 4
Mar. 19, 2024(this is just a censored version of the previous episode

Wow, it really is like they fell into the exact same fucking pattern they hit for emperor's TTS device with 6-24 month gaps between episodes. https://graphtreon.com/creator/alfabusa
I wonder what that big spike matches when they were already making 7 grand a month, but suddenly hit $20k a month on August 1st 2021. Oh right, July 29 was when they posted their "the fate of TTS" and whined about their income and GW, etc.

They don't want to do the actual work that is popular enough to get them the subscribers and views, because it's more work than everything else they to crap out. Same thing with the 40k book reviews, podcasts, ttrpg, etc. they tried but got a fraction of the views for.
What story?
"with games workshops new explicitly zero tolerance policy against fan animations"
which is an obvious fucking lie since people have been doing fan animations still this entire time, without issue. The problem is that the TTS guys couldn't sell merch of the characters because they were using GWs art and that would get the eye of GWs lawyers on their ass quicker than the eye of sauron. Flashgitz still does black templar vs furry animations, but they also started their space king thing, because they knew they could monetize the shit out of that, and did so.

Hell, we just got that "The awakening" 50 minute long animation a couple of weeks ago. There was a guy who did a thing called "scorch" about some kasrkin a few months back. Full Moon Studios has been doing 40k animations every month or two for the past year. Steel Coffins has done a couple episodes. There was a guy doing stop motion animations with the joytoy figures. Platinum Lore put together a lore channel using scanned miniatures so he could do little animations of scenes he's talking about since there isn't art for everything. Nick Gickas was doing similar for a goofy comedy thing with photos of minis.

It just goes on and on. Clearly the TTS guys were full of shit, and the ONLY thing that GW actually did was take down some reuploads of astartes, because they bought the rights to it and hired the animator for their WHTV bullshit. They had also hired SODAZ, but he quit before actually doing anything because moron GW fans kept sending him death threats so he got sick of it and gave up.

To be fair, everyone stopped doing Warhammer animations for a year after GW's announcement. GW knew their paywalled Warhammer+ shit can't compete with free fan animations, so they had to scare everyone into quitting.
People do a free advertisement and you spit in their faces. Personally, I wouldn't touch anything Warhammer related out of spite and made my own thing like Project Morningstar people did.

But that didn't happen either. The guy who did the dreadnought stuff released Dread Fall just a month or so after that, with some other people doing SFM stuff, majorkill the fag that he is even released a space marine vs darth vader thing, someone did a dark angels CG animated thing not too long after. Even valrak released his own half finished animated shit just a couple months after that crap from GW, and GW never did a damned thing about it. And the stuff that people released in 2022 was likely still being worked on when GW made their statement in the middle of 2021.

It was entirely about not being able to monetize GWs IP for their fan animation. Which if you're at the point of getting paid 20 grand a month and want to do merch sales and shit, is it really even a fan project at that point? Or is it your professional job?

How fucked is the “range” gonna be?

I've been away for a while so I still don't know the full extent of what GW has been doing. Just from the internet people seem to like their centerpieces, and I assume the noise marines will look good. There's no way they have sexy or horrific demonettes in current year.

After seeing how tame and uninteresting the new Sanguinary Guard turned out, I'm not holding my breath.
You can’t win sometimes, remember the death guard update was made by a French guy who was passionate about nurgle but even his work is hated on for being “too marvel” and the world eater stuff is liked but there wasn’t enough

I'd contact customer service, you're not the only person having this issue. You're lucky you didn't pay for anything since it seems that people have had this happen on DLC cosmetics. It also seems to happen when you...quit your game...lawsuit incoming?
I did, actually. And they told me "we have no way of restoring any lost progress made online or offline". Which seems like horseshit since I've seen people saying otherwise when looking this issue up, but whatever. Like I said, I'll just fuck off for a year or so and see how it goes.

Besides, I've got a bunch of shit collecting dust I need to try out anyway. Just gotta decide between Vermintide 2, Chaos Gate, Inquisitor or go back to Rogue Trader and quicksave every 5 minutes incase the game shits itself when trying to open a menu.

My unpopular opinion: Leandros is actually pretty cool in SM2.
>Badass outfit
>Acts exactly like I imagined a Chaplin would
>Comes around at the end and suggests to Calgar that Titus come along (for Story DLC or SM3?)
It's the setup for a good 40k buddy/cop movie.

You’ll get a primarch, a captain, noise marines, terminators, and a set of cultists and that’ll be it
It makes me wonder how similar in design the daemon primarch for fulgrim would be when you look at the current heresy offering. Magnus and Mortation are basically just larger versions of themselves and the only really different looking one is Angron.
I suppose they could lean even more into the serpent / reptilian aesthetic which would look pretty cool imo.

Sorry if late. I'm coming back to 40k and minis gaming after a long hiatus so some stuff is still new to me.

Imperial Knights. Supposedly GW got a W from the Knights Christmas box, but now they've revealed they removed some important options and soured people on it. GW was always expensive, but when did they get dumb?

On the topic of Knights, I was listening to a lore video (knights weren't a thing when I played), and part way through the guy derails the video to talk about gender and going on some tangent about how female pilots could exist. I knew of the whole "female custodes/marines" drama, but I didn't know this spread to other factions.

Are knights and sentinels a okay value? While other kits are generally cheaper from third parties, sentinels RRP for £25, but similar proxies cost that or more. Even pre-printed minis are around that. Armigers and War Dogs are £55 for two, while pre-prints are about the same price wise. I could just be looking in the wrong places though.

They’ll definitely switch it up so that you can’t use the Horus Heresy model. I haven’t looked at AoS but going by current trends they’ll use a lazy copy of some AoS model and call it a day.

Is that unpopular? Or is it just redditors hating the guy because he didn't suck Titus off the entire time? And yeah. The ending is dlc bait. Pretty sure the devs have already expressed interest in doing a dlc continuation.

I miss the days when kitbashing was encouraged. When you got more than a handful of loadout options for HQ characters. When the Emperor's Children update would entail a Primarch, maybe a Captain, and a variety of upgrade sprues.

Here's what GW should do instead of trying to do a bunch of Emperor's Children standalone stuff like their own special terminator kits:

Sell me a GW brand Green Stuff Stamp so I can imprint Emperor's Children insignias, screaming faces, slanneshi logos, et cetera in greenstuff on my own minis at will.
