Her twitter feed doesn't look TOO offensively troonish. A joke about the trans illuminati not accepting allies only accomplices (gave a chuckle), complaints that Halo voice chat players gave her shit about her voice (a complaint I've heard some of the trans people I know express)... cute cat, fundraiser for sick kids... digging back far enough there's some retweet about how some Transwoman dared disagree with the troon lobby and how it's sad a transsexual can have interalize transphobia or somesuch bullshit... "jokes on the screen are real world harm" complaint when the cancelation attempt against Chappelle failed...

Eh.

I'll remain cautiously pessimistic about this. She doesn't seem to be the "SUCK MY FEMININE PENIS GAMERS, IMMA GONNA TORCH YER SHIT OUTTA SPITE" type, at the very least. I'd feel a lot better if her twitter feed had any mention of Warhammer in the past, oh, EVER, though.

I don’t care who wrote the game. Just give us a coherent storyline involving big stompy dudes in big stompy armour fighting big stompy bugs. Also enemy AI that poses a decent level of challenge with some multiplayer and horde modes for longevity.
Let us pick our load outs in multiplayer even the option to do custom hive fleets and chapters. And for the love of god don’t hide customisation options behind pay walls please.

Actually, doesn't 40k games usually have some BL member write the plot? It's weird that this isn't the case here, unless there is a main BL writer for the core story and the "senior writer" is just a nice way to call someone who's job is to write audio logs.

Took a glance at her twitter feed as well. She appears to like Bloodborne alongside N64 so at least she has some good taste in games.

Might buy the old one since the multi is getting updates and shit and people have now started modding it.

My main 40k item I'm waiting for is the new update for the unification mod.
Which is due in february I think.

That is going to make me super sad..because it means we won't have a (Real) Female Space Marine show up in the Form of A Sister of battle. All I want is for Titus is for him to meet a Sister of Battle Waifu and live happily ever after purging Xenos along side her.

It's not the story of Space Marine I'm worried about. It's the following scenario:

Vidya/Novel/Comic book/what have you gets some form of woke cancer shoved into it by rainbow haired idiot (Female Marines, Troon Marine, Nonbinary Character, what have you)
Woke idiots on Sigmarxism and Feminist40k raise a stink because "it's cannon now!" and renew demands for "representation" in 40k

GW releases special edition model of the woke cancer, making it cannon.

Basically, backdooring in the wokeshit to the actual lore proper. It’s odd they didn’t send some black library dude to pull oversight though.

Based on the interviews they posted on Warhammer Community, the art producer is working pretty much hand-in-hand with GW to make sure all the assets are as accurate as possible (the GW studio team even designed that new jump pack Titus is using). I wouldn't be surprised if they've got someone from BL riding herd on the writing team and we just haven't heard about it.

Some points I think are worth keeping in mind to see how this situation differs from the Battletech video game with its tranny Lead Designer:
  • Senior Writer is not Lead Writer
  • GW will certainly have control over narrative direction, if that is of any assurance
  • Assuming this game is comparable to the first one, there's really not going to be much story content at all, just continuous shooting and smashing in a war against bug aliens (and whoever the third-act antagonists will be)
  • The player takes the role of a preestablished and beloved Space Marine character, or otherwise generic Space Marines if there's mulitiplayer, so there's really no room for a trooned character creator with pronouns, gender mismatching, or male/female parts being labeled as "B"/"A".
Anyway, just looking into this person a little further, it seems that Saber only just hired him for this 40k project a couple of months ago. Otherwise, he appears to have constantly bounced between companies on temporary contracts, so who is to say that his time at Saber won't be just as limited.

I'm intrigued a bit with this new videogame, but I will remain cautious about it and wait a few days/weeks after release and look at various reviews before I dip my toes in this project. That blue/pink flag anywhere related is seriously poisonous.
