What if they try to retool Slannesh as craftsmen instead of, er, Coomers?
The Emperor's Children were known as some of the best swordsmen in the Imperium before their fall to Chaos, I'd figure that would be the path to highlight them.

So, new Gravis Captain. Has the same loadout as the Dark Imperium one, except more options -- can do a Chainsword as pictured, as well as a power sword and power fist. I'm glad to see that. Wish there was a Thunder Hammer option. And if we could get a Jumppack on a Primaris Captain we could get a modern Smash Captain, which would be nice.

There's also this guy, if you want your Gravis Captain a more shooty variety. No options at all, though. I want one with Plasma, darnit!

Leading them all, the fearsome Chaos Lord Khalos the Ravager* maintains discipline by sheer force of will and violent example. His huge thunder hammer is frightening to behold, and with this many points of articulation he’ll be able to pull off some impressive poses while crushing skulls for his dark masters.
Wrong! The model is supposed to be Obsidius Mallex from Blackstone Fortress!
Whoever wrote this article didn't do enough research.

Which is ironic since Fulgrim grew up as a factory worker and administrator. The only one of the Primarchs not to have a body count or heroic deeds of valor to his name by the time of their rediscovery. Yes, that means everything he did afterwards was overcompensating for that, why do you ask?

So yes, its entirely possible to make them master craftsmen, especially since the first thing Fulgrim did when he showed up on Terra was to challenge Ferrus Manus to a smithing competition and create a hammer even he was forced to admit was a masterpiece.

That was the whole point of the Emperor's Children; they strove to be the absolute best at everything they turned their hands to, from war to weapon-smithing to art. Hell, Fulgrim once went to talk a planet into joining the Imperium with only seven of his Marines, just to prove he could be better than his brothers at the whole "compliance" thing. That drive for utter perfection was partly how Slaanesh came to corrupt them in the first place. He's the Lord of Excess, after all, and he can work with anything, including an excessive drive to be the best.

Oh, absolutely. Its why I find Fulgrim's fall to honestly be the most tragic of them all. The man could have (and arguably should have) dedicated his life towards craftwork and art, but upon seeing the deeds of his Legion, their standards flying high despite being a mere company with no hope of replenishment or reinforcement of their numbers, resolute in their duty despite everything they had suffered, he broke. The other Primarchs drove their Legions over the edge. But the Emperor's Children did it to their Primarch, and all without knowing or being aware of it.

Got Octarius for Christmas, the Kommandos are pretty nice. You can get away with building almost all the special options for Kill Team (except the shokka pistol) while still getting 4 barebones boyz (if you play the comms guy as a normal kommando) and the nob for running it as a nice and cheap squad that can deploy anywhere and fuck around in 40k games.

Irregardless of what comes out of the Eldar vs Chaos box, I'd convert them to be Emperor's Children for CSM and Dark Eldar for Eldar

So I stumbled upon some harlequins I hope the codex doesn’t shaft full harlequins since as much as I hate eldar I do love the clown elves.

They're making a big deal of the Marines in that box wearing mixed Mk. armor...

But isn't that a bog standard Tactical Squad?

And I remember trying to put those Dark Eldar together, holy christ it was annoying. Had a lot of glue-on extra spikes.

Wow.

Damn I really want that box (maybe 2 of them). Wonder when it will release, I'm guessing Feb or March, doubt it will be Jan. Also gotta magnetize that Autarch.

Love the new Rangers and Warpsmith.

I already collect CSM, and have flirted with the idea of an Iyanden force for years. Very tempting. If I didn't hate 9th Edition, I'd be all in.
