A few (?) MonthsStill, it's an impressive model, but my tiny experience with chaos knight is limited to observing them being oneshotted by orkz, with no saves.
I have a sort of mini campaign written out for a couple armies/Kill Teams I have warning lots of autismDoes anyone write short stories about their armies in 40k? I've been thinking about an idea for an Eldar who's an outcast with the title of "The Heretic" except he's not corrupted by chaos. He's more against the norm of Eldar society. He's a former Warlock from the Lyanden craftworld (I chose this one because the whole elf necromancer aesthetic from them using wraithguard so oftne really appealed to me.) who wanders the galaxy searching for whatever interests him and to overall help the Eldar via whatever tech, lore, artefacts from any other xenos or human civ, it's all free game to him ( to the horror of other Eldar ofc). I guess you could equate him as the Eldar equivalent of a Radical Inquisitor or Magos.
I sometimes run Dark Heresy games with a group so I found getting people to try a little short story about their characters before we play to get them much more invested in the game beforehand.
To stay in canon for the Avatar of Khaine, it needs to be buried under said pile of primaris eradicators. The new avatar of Khaine better come posed standing ontop of a pile of primaris eradicators, or, Marneus Calgar with his legs spread open.
It truly depends on your skills and environment. So… I finally bit the bullet and bought that starter box that came with some marines and necrons and have some general questions on painting. Things like brands of paint, how to thin them out so they don’t look like the model is covered in paste, which primers are good, what brands and types of brushes are good, and how much “collateral damage” do airbrushes usually cause? I don’t have anywhere at my house where I can really set up a workshop, so if it’s at all bad I wouldn’t really have any other choice than brushing anything besides primers.
I don't do Warhammer stuff but do have some painting tips:So… I finally bit the bullet and bought that starter box that came with some marines and necrons and have some general questions on painting. I wasn’t intending on it. My thinking was going with Vallejo for most of the base shit, Citadel for some of the weirder stuff and/or the stuff that might not see use in huge volumes like some of the greens for necrons or gold highlights, possibly citadel for the primers, and whatever else people thought was cheap and reliable. Also how helpful are wet palettes, if you or anyone here has used them?Just don't be that guy that has to paint everything with citadel paints, citadel brushes, citadel miniature holder, citadel paint stirrer, citadel handkerchiefs, citadel pacifier, etc....
you still want both, some paints like inks and metallics can mess up your wet palette. wet palettes can be a help depending how you paint, but most of the time I can go by with a normal one.I wasn’t intending on it.
