I don't think anyone would stupe to Horus being the emperor all along, but I am expecting some amount of retardation at the end.
See lore has always been that Big E hesitated before deleting Horus, his quote unquote "favorite son" from existence and is the reason why he's stuck on life support. But the issue is some authors have played up the idea that Emps viewed the primarchs as numbered tools a little too much over the years, so why the fuck will he hesitate.
I thought the discrepancy between loving Emps and pragmatic Emps in regards to the Primarch comes from the slaying of Horus. He had to cast out part of his soul to be able to slay Horus(that fragment being the the inspiration for the Starchild theory), and that's why say, when returned Girlyman visits the Golden Throne the Emporer tells him he never loved any of his sons, because that part of his soul that did was broken off from him and cast into the warp.

Am I canonizing fan theories in my head?

Maybe.
I just finished the final dark imperium book and got to the scene where he speaks to Guilliman and the best way to describe Big E is that he's been having a millennium long schizophrenic episode so its still hard to tell what he really thinks.

Has anyone else received their Eldritch Omens box yet. Mine's here but I won't be able to work on the models for another month.
Got a new set of hind limb claws for my Flyrant and a pair of cyrillic metal Venomthrope recasts from Daddy Putinland delivered to my house day 5 into a 4-week work hitch, so I kind of feel you.

IDK I was gonna say this is starting to sound like the plot to Emporer TTS...

Basecoat is kinda patchy around the legs, and I’m not going to play marines anyway, but I’m proud to say I’ve painted my first mini.
My gut is telling me I thinned the blue too much at the start.

That kind of stuff is definitely outside of and predating TTS, but I've read a LOT of 1d4Chan and there may be a common ancestry outside of the canon.
Looking at Lexicanum and some of the stuff from TTS, you realize some of these things predate as far as Rogue Trader Wolfen design, Gate of Morkai, hell, even the Proteus Protocol and the entire Star-Emperor thing originated in older Editions. Just that the newer editions never retread these concepts, just like the poor Pariah units.

Price of the brick is going up: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/02/09/important-pricing-news/

5% on kits, 10% on Chinese products (books, scenery) as well as resin minis. No increase on paints, tools, or starter sets. Prices change goes live on March 7th.
So Kung Flu happens. Lots of people take the Brrr pill and realize how irrelevent GW are to actually playing Warhammer, and they see record losses after one of the biggest attempts to destroy their own optics I've seen in recent memory, and their response is to raise the prices up even more.

I download PDFs of the rulebooks and print my minis. You should all do the same. The resin printers are starting dip under 100 during sales. Absolute bargin. Fuck this kikery. Vote with your wallet.

The more GW burns down, the better. At the risk that Plagarism-hammer becomes history especially with the sudden popularity of Dune.

What resin printer you using?

I started with an OG Anycubic Photon and now I've moved on to the Elegoo Saturn due to the bigger buildplate and the 4k screen. 4K minis are basically indistinguishable from GW ones. And we're already seeing 8k printers. These printers refresh pretty quick. I only just got my Saturn when they announced the Saturn S. And when that happens you can usually get the older printers for much less. Hell, we're probably going to see cheaper equivalents to the massive Peopoly Phenom within the next couple of years. Wouldn't surprise me to see a printer with similar volume for 500-600 soon.

TTS mostly takes fan theories and other maybes in the lore and runs with it. When the Alfa Legion was still a thing which is what Alfa kinda based TTS on we would always wonder how they would continue the setting which led to TTS being created.

Pre-7th/8th 40k was is kinda nostalgic to me for some reason the community wasnt a powder keg waiting to blow at every second and was much smaller than whatever the fuck it is now. However, I am more immersed into the hobby side more than ever currently so its an okay trade off.

Thought of this yesterday because null made the mistake of using 40k music in his livestream.
Guntchin and the Squig.jpg

I know its shit and could of made it look better, But don't care enough about gunt to try

most people can go by even with a 2k printer, and you can get those for under 100 bucks. even with an 8k printer most people are not on the painting level etc to make full use of it anyway, never mind no one will see the difference on the table.

what's more important imho is which manufacturer you go with, when inevitably stuff breaks or wears out you might be facing replacement parts that cost more than a new printer. some are better some are worse depending on time and model, so it pays off doing some research in that regard (also depends on your location and local distribution, so hard to make a general recommendation).

be aware it's still a toxic process (plant resin has the advantage of being bio-degradable, but is more expensive and still toxic while uncured) and you can roughly add 100 bucks for washing and curing depending how much you wanna spend on a ready made station or jerry-rig something together.

you can turn off the sound and jump into the middle, it's mainly for comparison and remember he's using a macrolens, most nerds with glasses due to poor eyesight won't see any difference

I lost track of the STL stuff after the MEGA Crackdown that was caused by the clickbait hobby tourists making vids on 40k Printing for views. Did it get any better? I had a hell of a time finding some even basic shit, like say Space Marine Arms / Legs.

Hell, I'm still hoping for 3D Scanners to drop to a reasonable amount. Nothing would make me happier than to just clip things from a sprue and make STLs of it all.
