I'll be picking the box up if nothing else for the Mk6 armor and relic terminator suits. I don't know if I can use the Praetor in my Blood Ravens, but I might be able to give it a try. I could do it up as a Librarian.

Boxed game confirmed by Adam Troke. But no details. Yes, it was leaked. They're having a giggle about it. "The best kept secret in the hobby."

Chaos mini trailer.

Two Wounds 2 Attack Legionaries. The rumor of the CSM troops being rename Legionaries is true.

Edit:

"We can confirm that an incredible new edition of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy is coming out later this year, and we can’t wait to show you more of it. As we build up to the launch, you can expect our remembrancers to bring you a closer look at exactly what makes this game so special, starting with information on the new edition’s miniatures every Thursday throughout April. Expect a spotlight on key units from Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, as well as more reveals of as-yet unseen models."

Based on 7E 40k still. With updates.

I'm definitely grabbing the box. Probably use part of it for my existing Fists army and the rest to start an Alpha Legion force.

I'm turning Horus Heresy box into Dark Angels after the Xenocides. Year of Chaos is actually year of the legions, chaos knights, and pinkie promises of a CSM codex

What's up with all the Warlord Titans in that trailer? That has to mean something...

Also it feels weird not only to just see an abundance of beakies, but only beakies.
Now its been years since I have touched any heresy novel but at the time when they were realising the forge world sets the majority of the legionnaires were clad in Mk IV power armour, to the best of my memory, so it makes me wonder why for this they have jumped straight past Mk V to Mk VI.

Perhaps it was for purely visual needs and with more releases we'll see the return of Mk IIIs and IIs.

IIRC, Horus was well known to have stolen a shitload of Mk6 power armor specifically for his legion, wasn't he? Filed paperwork to screw everyone else (except the Raven Guard) out of it.

sounds about right, I believe the fabricator general at the time of Istvaan was buddy with him so who better to help in stealing tech.

Little nitpick but what is with the lessening of blood when it's related to 40K. Ain't it supposed to be a gruesome setting? Where's the gore/blood?

Beakie Versus Beakie is nice its like all the old art where it featured only MK. 6 marines

Probably would be age-restricted on You tube if it was.

Did see plenty gore and blood in the animations they've got on Warhammer+

Some WIP of My Plague Lord / Lord Festus. I’m going for a more muted tone with my Death Guard, I put snakebite leather contrast over a light grey primer which has helped give the fur an aged look.
The armour is Skavenblight Dinge and will probably be highlighted with a blue to help all the edges pop out. I’m still working out ideas for metallics, bone and leather right now.

I spent some time thinking about it and I've think I've come up with every legion where it doesn't make sense AT ALL (essentially impossible) till the scouring.

Dark angels
Ultramarines
Blood Angels
World eaters
Night lords
Salamanders
Tsons.

and for the incredibly unlikely
Iron warriors, emperor's children.

Why are you trying to make sense of space marines. Dude it's like whatever, they get any gear, upgrade, reroll strat, fluff handwave, etc. To hell with story, plot, game mechanics.

They literally gave the Marines the same Blade Champion character and mechanic they gave the Custodes, like less than a month later. (It's flagged as legends or whatnot so it can't be used in tourney play IIRC, but still.)

My theory is they had to steal the mechanic from whatever pile of new shit they were going to give the Marines this year when someone reminded them the Custodes exist and needed a new mechanic + character for their new Shadow Throne LE box + codex.
