They literally gave the Marines the same Blade Champion character and mechanic they gave the Custodes, like less than a month later. (It's flagged as legends or whatnot so it can't be used in tourney play IIRC, but still.)

My theory is they had to steal the mechanic from whatever pile of new shit they were going to give the Marines this year when someone reminded them the Custodes exist and needed a new mechanic + character for their new Shadow Throne LE box + codex.
Custodes stole the champion from the marines

And Orks stole the apothecary from marines

This a very dumb argument because it can go on forever especially with everyone having some form of mech that needs the user strapped in permanently

Really its surprising that it took so long for the last of the chapter command characters to finally cross the rubicon. Dont know how many of you guys run champions, but they are very fun.

Primaris stole hovertanks and specialized elite units from eldar.
You're correct, this could go on forever.

Huh.

The people who made my Ender 3 are now making a standalone 3D scanner that's got a 0.05mm resolution.

0.05mm sounds like it'd be good enough to scan 40k miniatures. Probably not a one-and-done scenario, but I think we'll start seeing scanned-and-cleaned STLs coming over the next year or two.

There are some reviews:

The GW-related sites are down, but I noticed a few items were moved to the "Last Chance to Buy List" on Forge World.
Among them were the Deimos Rhinos, the Leviathan Dreadnought body, the base Contemptor Dreadnought (along with several of the components, which bumed me out), and the resin MKVI Space Marines.
I didn't not get a chance to see on the main GW website if anything changed there.

Makes sense they're purging the resin beakies since the plastic ones are coming. Wonder if this means they'll be ditching the resin Contemptor in favor of the plastic one, which would kinda suck because that kit is nowhere near as poseable or customizable. I have to admit I wouldn't mind plastic Leviathans and Deimos Rhinos, though.

Apparently, the models related to the Betrayal of Calth like the Space Marine Heroes (the Cataphractii Praetor and Chaplain) were on the LCTB list on the main GW website. This includes the current plastic Contemptor, too.
Also, I forgot to mention Sicarans were also on FW's LTCB list.

Auspex Tactics was talking about a leaked image of beakie marines that was recently proved true by this announcement. It is heavily suspected to be the launch box for the new addition and I remember him mentioning it also included a Contemptor Dreadnaught.

You can see a Contemptor in the leaked pictures too. Hopefully it means they're selling it again as a better kit with all the options the FW one had.

I hope they do get rid of the current plastic Contemptor. That model sucks. I also wouldn't be surprised if they introduced plastic Sicarans, given the rumors of plastic Spartans and Warhammer Community mentioning a new tank in their announcement blurb for the trailer.

Edit: sites are back up. The only Sicaran I'm seeing on the purge list is the standard battle tank; the Omega, Venator, Punisher, and Arcus are all still showing normal availability. They're also getting rid of all the black books and the Spartan. As for the main GW site, the Space Marine Heroes and the plastic Contemptor aren't showing up as LCTB.
