Praetors will be the new Primaris Lieutenant. They love to make hero-character models instead of you know, a squad of unit-x from ignored army-y. It's so much easier to make a monopose hero-character than a multipose modular unit of characters, after all, and GW hires cheap.

I mean, they kind of are already. You've got the two generic resin ones from FW, the plastic bois from Betrayal at Calth, these two new models, and the Dark Angels, White Scars, Space Wolves, Imperial Fists, Night Lords, Blood Angels, Ultramarines, Thousand Sons, Sons of Horus, Word Bearers, and Alpha Legion have at least one legion-specific praetor each.

Yeah, I'm really not feeling the beakies either, and this model really demonstrates how off the helmet looks. I get it that beakies are GW's original Space Marines, but I'd rather have any other mark, even thunder armor.

With this new game edition appearing to encompass the whole conflict, it also feels this mass distribution of beakies across every legion goes against the lore that's been developing for well over the past decade. But then again, GW has never been shy of retcons.

What would you guys like to see from the Squats? I think we all want the Land Train but what else could be done with space dwarves?

As far away as possible from steampunk. Not on the weeaboo direction like with Tau, but their own Squat thing for engines and vehicles.
Also being ridiculously efective at chopping space marine legs off.

Beards, and beard armor like CA did with the elite Dorf units in Total Warhammer.

Chaos will never be viable. How much stock has to fall before GW works out who their audience is?

It just occurred to me looking at the chaos legionnaire sheet, it's Cruddace isn't it? they put the Crud in charge of all of 9th edition and now we're stuck in an imbalance rollercoaster until he either finds another hobby or drops dead.

Lol not yet. Still only on soul hunter so It could get worse from here, though I like just how desperate they are shown to be despite being hyper competent, besides the exalted, me and all my homies hate the exalted.
The only thing I want is to make Pre-Heresy World Eaters, the best damn color scheme out of that whole conflict.

Though I'm pleased with finally getting Space Dwarves, I would've rather had alien Demiurg, honestly, and it's also unfortunate that GSC already have an industrial miner aesthetic going on.

I'm kind of miffed by the Land Train meme, though. Lets keep in mind that it was an Epic 40k unit. I don't see that being feasible in the 40k while still being satisfactorily train-like. Take the new Necromunda "land train", for example. It's just a multi-trailer semi truck.

I'll take every beakie I can get and I have a pile of over 50 not on minis yet. I'll modify them on to Dreadnaughts and Terminator armor eventually.

There are so many flavors of Imperium that I think they are going to have a hard time finding a way for them to stand out. I'm betting they are going to end up as Jack of all Flavor, master of done and just being in a weird three way midpoint between Space Marines, Imperial Guard, and Machine Cult.
