That and even if they did recruit females, after the process of becoming a Spess muhreen, they would be indistinguishable from the males and probably have intense gender dysphoria to boot.
Space Marines are trans deal with it. Sounds like Tumblr artists would have a field day.

Nahh, it legit don't work; Emps actually frowned when Malcador joked about doing that with a couple of the Primarchs, saying it's literally impossible. That's cause the things that make you a spess mahreen only work if you have a penis. The closest thing you have to female Spess mahreens is this thing the Iron Warriors made called the Daemonculaba or something. It basically is a giant mutated insane woman who was turned into a giant cootchie that shits out skinless spess mahreens. Alternatively some of the Chaos Spess Mahreens turned into women due to mutations.

Check out the book Space Wolf in which they go through the horrific process of turning a 13 year old boy into a murder machine by pumping him full of drugs and organs and chopping his dick off. That's right guys, the penis becomes useless to the Space Marine so it either falls off or they remove it.

SJW need to check their privilege at the door.

here something to make you mad.

why? why why? If you don't any respect for the source material, don't make a game based on it!

Hi, all, I've recently picked up watching some videos about WH40K table battles and while I probably won't ever play/field an army due to the cost of materials simply to assemble a tiny 1000pts force, the consistent painting of the models always looks incredible and after seeing some of the Imperial Guard tanks, I'm wondering if some of you guys could help me determine what paints to use for a project down the line as there is a tabletop gaming store that sells Citadel paints not too far from me, and since some of you guys have shown off just as impressive painting familiarity with Games Workshop stuff you would have the experience necessary.

The reason I mention the tanks is because this project I hope to do in the future is also a tank. Sort of.

It comes molded in one color...the wrong color, at that, which ultimately doesn't even matter since this thing isn't uniformly monochrome (somewhat hard to tell, but the "chest/head" portion under the tank cannon is supposed to be a dark blue-gray, the rest is dark olive green). Being Bandai, the instructions suggest to use their in-house Tamiya paints but as I said earlier, Citadel should work just as well (along with being cheaper by merely not having to be imported).

Here's the translated paint guide from the instructions:

And here's what the "official" full paint job looks like - granted, officially the green is actually supposed to be darker than this but in truth the light green-brownish color works better with the darker colored chest, personally.

After some quick research, it looks like my best paint match choices would be:
- Main Body Green: Death World Forest or Zandri Dust (depending on if I want more green or not in my final decision)
- Main Body Grey: Daemonette Hide or Mechanicus Standard Gray
- Machine Gun: Leadbelcher
- Cannon Ejection (basically the part behind the gray head/chest): Abaddon Black

Any tips or suggestions from you skilled Citadel paint experts would be greatly appreciated.

(And yes, logically I could just go to that store and ask for tips about the paint there, but I don't actually have the kit so no point in buying paints now.)

Depends if you're planning to use an airbrush or not. If you're planning on painting it by hand, I'd recommend using the Citadel paints and getting some white and black as well in case you want to make the colours lighter or darker.

So report time. I arrive at gee dubs after a frantic New Year's Day of building and painting to a somewhat empty shop. Since I forgot to get the start time I assumed I arrived too early (10:45) but was informed by staff that the event started for 11. I was given a run down of the event and was told it would be 6 games over the day. As time passed I grew concerned because only one other player for AoS had shown up at this point but I played against them for my first game. Needless to say I had my arse handed to me due to the fact both stegadons were killed turn one and my priests crapped out on their rolls.
By turn three I called it quits because I had a unit of chameleon skins left on the table.
By this point only one other player had arrived and this game was a draw thanks to more chump rolls on my part. They were using dwarves and my terradons did a grand total of sod all to his unit of miners which showed up in my back field. After all that I decided to call it a day since there was only 3 players in the event which included myself.
I know people rag on AoS as a bad game which is fine but after being told the number of sign ups compared to what arrived I don't think I'll be attending another event.

I may have found a solution to the Aos problem (i.e. the fuck-points). There is an onljne compilation called Azyr comp. They actually give points for the units similar to warmachjne and hordes (Stormcast Judicators are 4 points for 5 dudes). They also fixed certain rules that gee bus didn't bother to fix.

Im planning to do a few games in my local games community just to see if they actually work.

In other news the Knights of Astora chapter I'm workjng on are...still not painted. Im thinkjng of giving them a color scheme in similar to the Astral Claws but with Solaire's sun as chapter symbol and different house iconography between squads.

This. Even if it was possible people seem to forget that space marines are huge lumbering giants in comparison to the regular humans because they need to be. If someone was really dead set on making women space marines while trying to work with the lore I imagine it'd end up being how the Fallout universe handled super mutants: Some of them are female but you can't tell because FEV has mutated them to have an ungodly amount of muscle mass and the frame to support it. Since after that there are no memories or visual cues to suggest female gender (and they don't care about your genitals) they just call each other "Brother". It would defeat the whole purpose and the end result would be more disturbing than no female space marines.

Plus they already basically exist:

Seriously, right down to having power armor, pauldrons, and bolters.

Yeah but they have boobplate and aren't horribly ugly. Therefore they are offensive and sexist. Despite being cool and having their own thing going on, they need to be space marines because everyone knows space marines.

Oh, so something more like these:

But with no boob plate.

I don't even know what I'm looking at. Got to love those half helmets though. Who needs to protect their brains?
Sisters of Silence. They were like the girl equivalent of Custodes if I recall, an army of literal Blanks (anti-psykers that neutralize psionics and warp shit due to having no soul).

There are options for power armor wearing women with heavy guns that fight in orders, have paudrons, and helmets of some sort. These stupid entitled fucks just refuse them for artificial problems that they created.

Yea but when you look at the average Tumblr landwhale there are no visual clues to indicate gender anyway so really I guess they'd identify more with a Space Marine. It's pretty much how they view themselves after all, the peak of physical prowess and the next evolution of mankind.

Dude you just described the vast majority of the irl player base let alone tumblr.

That, my good inquisitor, is heresy most foul.

To compare your average space marine fan to these foul heretics of tumblr is to compare the holy anatomy of man to the wretched greenskins that these tumblr heretics are more akin to. The tumblr landwhales are more similar to plague marines than an actual space marine, thou even there it might offend the Death Guard.
