Goonhammer decides they must make a statement battling Transphobia.

Actually, fuck them. Here's an archive of the article instead.

What a shame, I've enjoyed reading Goonhammer occasionally (Particularly their Necromunday column). I wish absolutely everything I enjoy wouldnt continue to be assaulted by abject faggotry.
I'll have to try and distract myself with continuing to paint these Cultists of the Abyss, Delaque, and Gene-sneaker cultists.

These people aren't happy with having the Sisters (If they even know of them to fucking begin with.) They'll only be happy when GW bends the knee and retcons anything they dislike. I don't really trust GW not to cuck horribly.
>Let’s get the science out of the way: There is no specific hormonal or biological make-up of a human male. Sex is basically a pair of giant buckets of characteristics we lump people into. There is no single specific indicator of sex, there are hundreds, and almost every human who has ever existed is a jumbled mix of them. If you have enough traits of one kind we crudely decide you are “male”. Enough of another and we go for “female”. Not enough of either for us to make a snap judgment on little evidence? Well those people are intersex and they get “fixed”.

Literally "biology is triggering, sex is a social construct" type crap. People who can't comprehend basic biology are trying to lecture us on science. Suck the feminine penis, bigot, having common sense is a sin.

Utter insanity.

If they get female space marines you that biologically-male transgender Adeptas Sororitas will be their next request.

Tossup between Trannies of Battle or "We need to talk about the Sisters of Battle's disgusting roots in the male gaze" and demanding sculpts of 400 pound "black coded" Sisters of Battle, just to spite men who like looking at models of vaguely female shaped plastic. (Followed quickly by "we need to talk about GW's racism problem" re: the new empowered fatass Systas of Battle's black coded sculpts and general lack of "black coded" sculpts in general.)

I mean its not surprising their main AOS columnist is a troon im pretty sure

The last 2 pages have made me glad I started fucking with Battletech instead, though I’m getting slightly annoyed that I can’t find Atlas minis.
CGL has a box with the Atlas in it

On to the warhammer topic, I suspect that they'll do Tranny Stormcast but won't do female space marines.

If they ever do, that Stormcast will be the opposite sex because Stormcast are the physically perfect versions of their mortal self. No stank ditch or titty removal among them. They still keep the mental instability, although it’s due to constant reincarnation rather than drugs and grooming.

Anyway, the ongoing hysteria about GW not validating troons seems to be barely a blip. That Goonhammer article has a handful of asspats along with a bunch of deleted comments that are presumably lightly questioning it. The letter campaign only mustered about 1000 signatures out of the millions who play GW games. On top of that, at the time of writing, the list of signatories appears to no longer exist. The link sends you to Error Missing page. Way to show GW who’s on your side! Now they’ll really pay attention to your demands.

This is the last gasp of a group of people who have lost the argument. GW killed the concept of Female Space Marines. These weirdos are trying to reverse it by claiming GW is harming troons with offensive language. And it’s barely making a peep.

Because at the end of the day, GW doesn’t give a shit about them. They sell overpriced plastic miniatures to go along with a tabletop game. They want people of all ages to buy their product, have fun with it, and promote it to other people. All else is irrelevant.

If any of you are familiar with playing Death Guard can you take a look at my list and game-plan?

Mortarion's Anvil sub-faction

-Mortarion
-Typhus
-Malignant Plaguecaster
-Blightlord Terminators (10 man with flails and autocannons)
-Myphitic Blight Haulers (3 man)
-Plagueburst Crawler
-Plague Marines (10 man with flails, cleavers, blight launchers)
-Cultists (10 man with autoguns)
-Poxwalkers (2 squads of 14 and 10)

Plan is to have Mortarion and the Blight Haulers take point, aiming to cripple big targets with the meltas and get Mortarion into melee with something valuable.

Typhus and the Blightlords drop down together on an objective that looks to be hotly contested, while the Plaguecaster and Marines push up midfield.

Poxwalkers and Cultists to sit on objectives and screen whilst the Plagueburst sits at max range harassing the juiciest targets.

Oh no, a Twitter Petition. With just barely over 500 signitories. From a degenerate troon! Welp, Now GW has to surrender to the woke horde.

Yeah, it's about Female Space Marines being officially nix'd by GW. They want GW to hire a Sensitivity Reader, a woke czar that would have editorial control over the entire setting, to prevent something "like that" from happening again.
Absolutely NO ONE needs sensitivity readers. These freaks can 41% themselves.

You’ll be better off dropping the cultists, poxwalkers for more plague marines. Same with the plagueburst crawler they took a bit of hit with the balance sheet with the -1 to hit now.

When will they learn?

Unrelated: I am re-reading my two Ciaphas Cain anthologies and remain with the opinion that they are really quite enjoyable. I keep meaning to read the Gaunts Ghosts series as well, which I've heard positive things about.
Are there any other Black Library books that are particularly worth reading?

Swap out the cultists and pox walkers for at least plague marines.

Really it should be all blightlords with ranged options because they have opsec.

Next expansion teased for kill team has just been released. It’ll probably gonna be another underground setting because all of their skirmish games have to have an underground expansion for whatever reason.

The article states it's on a space hulk, with an really scrap made looking exploration drone. I think the leak is Black Legion vs Ultramarines.

For which kit is getting some new squad options, I'm guessing Assault Intercessors since everyone wants jumppacks for them, and a Space Hulk it's exactly where they wouldn't put that, 10th edition for ya gits. Maybe something cool for the Assault Intercessors though, since everyone already has tons of cheap chainsword sprues, time to give them lightning claws that are better and free(until balanced after everyone bought em) for all squadies. Maybe an option for a less than storm shield so as to not step on bladeguard toes, maybe something really kino like flamer options.

Interesting side note: those exploration drones' first (and only, afaik) appearance in Warhammer canon is in the Ciaphas Cain novel where he boards a space hulk with some Terminators. Nice little reference there.

Also, I totally didn't catch it at first, but a few of the old HH resin torso and shoulder pad kits are going Made to Order this weekend. Hopefully they get around to doing more of that; I'd like to snag another set or two of the Mark III Fists torsos.

Given the drone, my first assumption might have been that the expansion would include the Adeptus Mechanicus.

Also: The Blooded from the current Kill Team set are some really nice models. It's making me hope that GW will expand the "Traitor Guard" line. I also would quite like a set of the Traitor Guard from BlackStone Fortress, but they're one of the less affordable parts of that set on eBay for some reason.

Despite all the praise that Ciaphas Cain gets, I read the first anthology a very long time ago and found it to be very repetitive, every story following the same sequence of events while just switching who the enemies are. It might be fine in period doses, but reading through the whole anthology at once was tiresome. Is there more variety in the later stories?

They should come with sonic weapon upgrade sprues so they can amplify yawns into deadly force.

If true, it just means the Ultramarine half is just generic space Marines, like the heavy Intercessors and incursor were "Ultramarine", so interest is entirely in what kit gets new options. It's probably some breed of Intercessor, maybe firstborn, possibly scouts(Primaris?) Though it could be pretty cool if we get some new agressor fists(plasma or neovulkite?)

@Alter Ego edit quote, I had the same issue with the first three or so Ciaphas Cain novels, I think they later ones both get a little better, but I also spaced then out a bit more to not feel it.
