As for Dave Filoni, this is how we at the Fang show those Alpha Legion gits that we can do espionage too! None can resist the power of the Woof Side!
TBH its a damn shame GW is so intent on cramming Wolf of the Wolf's Wolf wolfshit into the codices when in the novels they're badass Space Vikings complete with Jarls, Huscarls, Thanes, etc. Instead of actual interesting things, complete with the possibility of clan company blood feuds that have been held for centuries based on slights one Jarl made to another that have yet to avenged and/or settled they're... WOLF.

I loved the good old Space Wolf books. Ragnar gives no fucks.

I know right?

"Shit, shit shit... Magnus the Red is manifesting into reality, an unstoppable daemon primarch we're all fucked! Wait, shit, maybe this spear my own primarch wielded that was given to him by the Emperor himself can do something about that!"

One javelin toss later into that son of a bitch's eye it was all over aside from the wailing of the sorcerers.

Best part is the Spess Wolves had an actual debate on whether or not what Ragnar did was so badass it was worth losing the Spear of Russ to the Warp. Most Chapters would have just shitcanned his ass then and there, but the Space Wolves?
"He lost an irreplaceable relic of our primarch!"
"Yeah, but fuck Magnus. Bastard deserved to get stuck in the eye by a sharp object."
"Well, yeah, but the Spear of Russ of all things to do it with?"
"Fuck Magnus. One-eyed pussy got his ass beat by a fucking Blood Claw."

As for Cavill being a 40k nerd who "won't allow" them to pozz it up: the same thing was said about the Tolkien Estate when Rings of Power was announced. I'm not holding my breath.
I'm not holding my breath either but Cavill really is a massive autist, he told Netflix to fuck off and left The Witcher series despite Geralt being a dream role for him because the showrunners and writers kept shitting all over the source material.

40k is the other franchise he's well known to be a turboautist for, so him and his hollywood exec girlfriend being involved and them presumably having some level of creative control is the only reason I'm not immediately thinking it's going to be shit.

He's autistic about Warcraft lore too. If he's able to reign in Amazon for a 40k show and it turns out great, maybe they can get him to play Arthas in a Warcraft movie sequel. Let him be the autistic St. Patrick that lures the woke writers out of nerd culture and drowns them in the sea.

Arthas is a pissy little traitor bitch. If you want someone inspired by the Elric saga, Mephiston is the man to go with.

You see that chin on Mephiston? Its almost as manly as Cavill's.

To give you a idea on how much Cavill loves 40k here is clip of all the times his nerd side snuck out.

Highlights:
How happy he is to talk to some one about 40k at mark 1:35
When asked which person he would want to play he legit has to think about which character "cause he can only be one" at 2:15

he's a britbong and was a fat kid, I'd be more concerned if he wasn't into warhammer and other nerd stuff.

Sometimes the stars align perfectly. Had a small scale game against a buddy and everything was wiped out by turn 2, the dice were blessed by Gork and Mork.
That sounds like the last 1K skirmish I had with a friend. My Goffs vs. his Blood Angels and the 'umies were all worm food at the bottom of turn 2. MVPs were a pair of Deff Dreads that just went to fucking town on the poor bastards.

New force org has been previewed by GW.

Has this made your army more flexible? My list hasn’t really changed from this alone but the balance data slate will probably throw a spanner in the works.
This certainly helps the armies that still have troops as a tax rather than a benefit - Marines mostly, but Eldar too to some extent. I play the latter and was already experimenting with Vanguard/Outrider detachments before the changes to starting CP made that extremely punitive, so this does help.
On a broader level, it makes detachments almost irrelevant. I wouldn't be surprised if GW is trying to move away from set force orgs again for 10e.

It was 1K of Twisted Helix GSC vs Goffs, the other guy went first and had to reveal a bunch of models while moving closer since his list was also melee-centric. He fumbled some charges, missed with his best weapons and his psychic phase didn't do enough so come next turn every charge hit its mark and most of his army got krumped.

Bigger change to list building is the 0 CP cost allied detachments coming in Ark of Omens called "Battle Brothers". It specifically mentions Imperial Knights and Votan (?!) as Imperial ally choices but the exemple given are specifically not exhaustive.

If I can retain Tides of the Warp while taking allies, Im 110% making a Grey Knights list that includes a detachment of Imperial Guards. As few guardsmen squads and Leman Russes would go a LONG way in fixing GK's weaknesses of "shit ranged anti armor and no cheap obsec".

He also missed the call letting him know he landed Superman because he was in the middle of a raid.

I put them together this weekend. A buddy is willing to share his paints and supplies. Also ordered a space marine squad.
Suss the imperium magazine (might have to back order) for space marines (+necrons) usually works out a bit cheaper, think some of the later issues have sisters/admech

No Orks though unfortunately

Don't paint Orks but I really kinda want the Goff Rokka to make a Punk Band Kill Team. Can't justify shipping on it alone.

No Chianbreaker Lance or Custodes battleforces left. The AdMech one is still around and actually might be a pretty good set. Sadly Cawl is Mars only and I'm a fan of Stygies VIII... Which is kind of a bummer now that I think about it. Most AdMech lists run Cawl, too. Hm. But I could go on Amazon or Ebay for an additional 15% off the AdMech one, which is probably smarter than going for GW proper. Sadly the Custodes and Knights boxes are actually at a 15-50% markup elsewhere.

Maybe I'll just toss some Custodes Jetbikes or the new BeakieMarines tactical squad on the list to round it over for free shipping.
