Here is a sperg forum discussing how living in Nazi Germany is worse than living in the imperium planets

As if getting thrown into radioactive reactors, being turned into servitors, having your eyes ripped out and stuck to a wall is better than living in 1940 Germany. Funny arguments all around.

Those guys live on diet of permanent retardation and bad writing.

You misunderstand what I meant.
I just come up to say your very presence defiles each thread you participate in. Stop being an illiterate faggot who thinks he's the GREATU MAESTERU in tabletop, Star Wars universe, politics etc.
You're just an insufferably autistic gay ass nigger.

Can somebody explain to me the Alpharius memes?
Think of it as of presidential body doubles.

Basically, you have two brothers, that are named Alphareus and Omegon simultaneously.
Problem is, you can't see fucking shit in term of difference between the two.
It also doesn't help that, unlike their 17-19 brothers-in-law, both Alpha and Omega are midget primarchs, ie they are just as tall as any regular space marine, and not as massive as any of the primarchs.
It also doesn't help to guess which one of the legion of the same looking gay ass baldies is actually Alpharius, who is Omegon and who are the rest of this fucking hydra circlejerk and thousands of faces of auto-felatio.

Besides being pretty sure everyone there routinely talks about how bad the Imperium is only to go "but not all planets", they literally say that the horrific body horror, corruption and negligence are preferable to not being allowed to suck another man's dick.

Of course they have to say "not all planets" because obvious exceptions like Macragge and the Pleasure Worlds would pop up first as a counter-argument. However, given that the Imperium needs as many births as possible to counter their staggering everyday losses, and given that sex and pleasure-seeking helps power Slaanesh, I can imagine that the Imperium would want to limit all sex outside of pleasure worlds to strict procreation, so I can't see them being tolerant towards gay sex, because that empowers Slaanesh without giving the Imperium another potential disposable laborer or soldier. Even though Slaanesh gains power from both gay and straight sex, at least the latter propagates the human race and is a necessary evil in Imperium eyes to ensure they still have a steady supply of soldiers and laborers.

Also, most civilized (ie. non-dystopian) worlds in the Imperium are basically similar to Nazi Germany. As in, the average pleb lives a comfortable 20th century lifestyle, so long as they're not one of the untermenschen and they don't question the state or its propaganda, they won't get black-bagged and thrown into a gulag where they'll disappear forever.

I got the chaos space marine combat patrol and I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with it. I'm trying to get to 2000 points for a tournament this summer. I'm going to add two squads of terminators but not sure what else I want to do with it. Any ideas?
The combat patrol is a perfect starter kit for a Word Bearers force.

A MoP is near mandatory, Cultists aren't awful for filling troop slots or back objective holders but the new Arks of Omen detachments bypass the troop tax and there isn't much of a need for them beyond that with the lenience provided. Flamer Daemon allies are really strong but are rumored to be getting re-balanced, though that doesn't mean souping is dead and there's bound to be some new hotness post update.

Disco lords are powerful blenders, can build around buffing them or using them as a bully unit. Some legions like them more than others. Nurgle Princes are also solid beatsticks if not a bit fragile but the new sculpt hasn't gotten a stand alone release yet. Despite loving the chosen kit, I dont really see a good reason to pick any up with the lackluster transport options in the book beyond Forgeworld drills or a dreadclaw pod. Rhinos are'nt awful but without proper threat saturation they will implode the second your opponent has line of sight on it. Venomcrawlers are quite nice for their points cost, oblits are a bit too expensive and you're going to really feel the lack of solid ranged options at your disposal once you start playing.

Depends on the planet, but generally you are better off with Adolf Sempai.

They were more into worker rights (in fact the Imperium is as anti-proletariat as you can get) and generally you have better healthcare in the Reich than in a Hive World.

Of course, if you are a noble, the Imperium will pamper you in ways Goebbels-kun couldn't even began to imagine.

Lets take the example of Hydrapur. There you work until you get too old or crippled, and than thrown alive into the sewers to be recycled when you can't meet your quotas.

Basically, only Pol Pot would make the average Imperial's life enviable. Hitler and Stalin need to level up.

It varies heavily from planet to planet, which is why the very premise is bullshit. Nazi Germany wasn't an empire spanning literal millions of cultures, environments, beliefs, and political entities, most of which are distinct and in some way hate eachother, and is therefore easier to pin down the experience of. There is no average imperial citizen the same way there is no average earth citizen. You go from hive-worlders who are basically used like resources, to Ultramar nobles who wipe their asses with gold leaf, to Catachans or Fenrisians who fight their planets on a daily basis and have a life expectancy of two hours.

If you want upward mobility in the Imperium, just quit being a pussy and try out for the Astartes. Worse case scenario, you die and don't have to live in Shit Galaxy. Best case scenario, you become one of the gigachad jocks of the Imperium and get to kill things.

Unless you are too old or a woman

Astartes can live for hundreds or even thousands of years.

That's what the Sororitas is for.
I meant there is an age limit to be recruited in the Space Marines also i imagine the Sororitas are a fraction of all womens in the imperium since the Imperium machine needs so many bodies to keep it working so can't have too many women with vows of chastity

I think it was Leupin that made the comparison that for every 1 custodes (or grey knight, I can't remember) there's 1,000 astartes, 10,000 sororitas, and 100,000 guardsmen. I also don't know if that accounts for the sisters of battle or the entire eclisiarchy. Either way, it seems about 10:1 or less sororitas to space marines.

In one of the Ciaphas Cain novels it's mentioned that Sororitas are not actually required to take any vows of chastity/celibacy.

It's always been my my headcanon that they functionally are though, especially the ones on the frontlines. I doubt they have time for sex and pregnant women don't make good soldiers.

So 10 millions Sororitas if the figure of a million Space Marines although 100 millions Guardsmen might be a bit lot or subject to change depending on how many are dead in a day versus how many got recruited

I'm not sure, warp travel can take an awful lot of time. If you are already stuck there for a year plus, then might as well strengthen the imperium by having a child with the biggest motherfucker around.

The age limit is more of a guideline than anything. There are recorded instances of people who are too old to draw the attention of Michael Bloomberg joining the astartes, it's just at a far lower success rate. The whole idea is that your body is still developing, and therefore would adapt to the organs better, and the body doesn't really stop developing until the mid-late 20s, just at a lesser degree. The window doesn't close as you get older, it just gets a lot tighter.

@alpha Legion

TL;DR: Alpha Legion is CIAfaggots in 40K
- Alpharius and Omegon are twin Primarchs
- Alpha (beginning) and Omega (end)
- Both prone to mistaken identity due to similarities, resulting in flip-flops
- Alpharius dies in Horus Heresy (or maybe not)
- Omegon puts Alpha Legion in Chaos (or maybe not)
- To this day, any sign of an Alpha Legion means they probably have some big-ass plan in motion

Nah, Alpharius is super mega dead by Dorn's Collosal Chainblade.
Also I wouldn't say CIA since they are actually pretty consistent in the abilities and don't create threats to syphon money. More like super spys that play all sides to the point no one is really sure which side they are on (at least until HH, afterwards they are pretty much Chaos).
