Have you ever stripped the paint from your minis?

I'm scrubbing my snipers with rubbing alcohol. I changed my mind and want to make them ultramarines. All I currently have are Dark Angels and Orks. Too much green. I want some variety.

I’ve used a cleaning fluid called detol and you’re generally good to go within a couple hours of placing a model in it.

I used Brake fluid dot 4 works like a charm also isopropyl alcohol works but it might make the plastic stiffer if you leave it in there a long time, if I remember right the alcohol was faster

But, I don’t know why it has to be acknowledged as canon by GW.

So this vocal minority of 'fans', most of whom don't even play the game, can shout 'fuck you, it's canon!' at everyone else. This sort of people live for shit like that. It's not satisfying enough having Sisters of Battle, true satisfaction only comes from trying to force your changes on everyone else. And if it leads players to stop playing this deeply problematic game or throw retard fits on social media against it, that's a nice bonus.

I've heard that simple green and a tablespoon of salt in a ziplock bag is a good solution.

Try Super Clean. Used it before and it works great. Throw the minis in a sealable container, fill it up, leave it soak for at least an hour and scrub off what paint didn't fall off afterwards. Works on plastic & resin, although it will dye the resin purple

So here's a question:

Is there any reason to read the first seven volumes of Siege of Terra instead of just jumping into The End and the Death? I've read the first two books, but I'm not going to have time to complete the next five before book eight comes out. I don't want to read 2000 pages of shaggy dog stories about the author's black OC being awesome just to get to the actual meat of the series. But if there's something cool in there that's worth reading, I wouldn't mind checking it out.

Any thoughts?
In Warhawk, Jaghatai Khan fights Mortarion to finally prove who was a better duelist. But, for me, that book is special because it has the moment when Sigismund becomes the Emperor's Champion and starts bodying champions of Chaos, including KHARN.
Eternity Gate has Sanguinius display his strength with his fated duel with Ka'Bandha and, a bit of surprise for readers, Angron.
I forget which book has Perturabo pulling the Iron Warriors out of the Siege of Terra, but that's a good moment.

Just got into 40k last November. I don't want to play the tabletop game but those Imperial Knight designs look sweet. Is there a 3rd party shop (outside of US) that sells fully articulated Imperial Knight models? Poseable legs and arms after assembly at all that, similar to what you can find on a Gunpla kit, be it colored plastic or resin are all fine.

On topic of poseable models, I recently found a Chinese company called JoyToy that's been making 40k figures for a while now and most of them are Space Marines related. I saw that they are currently having a Paragon Warsuit figure up for pre-order and I'm tempted to get one but I'm not sure about the quality. Does anyone have any experience with JoyToy's figures and their overall quality?

Orks are pretty great in the boarding actions gametype. You get to throw out a lot of bodies and just overwhelm your opponent with a small-scale version of the green tide. Ran the ladz against Dguard tonight and they just swamped the field. I literally had three times the models out there and as soon as it got to melee, quantity demonstrated its quality.

Just checked JoyToy's site and they look pretty good. Recall seeing them Amazon and they did get some good reviews. Also, their Havocs look awesome apart for being Black Legion.

Surprised they're not doing more with MacFarlane. His figures look great and he even sells one you can paint up yourself. Hell, there's a guy on Cults who has a fuckton of STLs to customize those figures with damn nev

A couple minutes in a glass of isopropyl and then scrubbing it with an old toothbrush gets it done in a jiffy.

You know what didn't need the sexuality spectrum added into it?

It's a good paint job though
My knowledge of 40k lore is pretty surface level but aren't Space Marines made to not have any sexual desires to make them a better fighting force? Can't imagine having an army of gay Space Marines that can be easily corrupted by Slannesh and instead of Noise Marines they become Sex Marines.

how dare you ask such bigotted questions you filthy *autistic scrrehcing*
Ok, retarded jokes aside you are pretty much correct, as far as I know Space Marines are incapable of having sexual desires, so them being gay or trans is impossible, of course redditors would just screech at you for pointing that out
