GW got their money. Not their problem if scalpers scalp their technically-used but still mint sets.I don't understand why they don't just have boxes like this be made to order from the start so scalpers don't hog them all.

IIRC, they were switching towards this, but then the UK government found out that GW was having the models made in China, shipped to the UK, where they packaged them up with printed materials from China or the UK, and slapped "Made in the UK" on the box. Which is absolutely 100% illegal according to the UK cucks who went after GW for it.I don't understand why they don't just have boxes like this be made to order from the start so scalpers don't hog them all.
Cursed city. Was that ever confirmed? There was so much other bungling around it, plus COVID.IIRC some boxed set vanished REAL fucking quick about 2 years ago becuase of it? Some age of Sigmar side game I think?
Generally, all of GW's plastic is made in the UK, with their packaging and instructions made in China. I do recall a scant few models here and there having their plastic made in China: I think it was the terrain, which doesn't really fit with too many boxes disappearing over it.IIRC, they were switching towards this, but then the UK government found out that GW was having the models made in China, shipped to the UK, where they packaged them up with printed materials from China or the UK, and slapped "Made in the UK" on the box. I thought long and hard about making this post, because I am fully aware that it will draw a lot of ire from certain segments of the competitive 40k circuit.
Recently Gamesworkshop has announced their Warhammer Finals Qualifier series.
The guidelines state the following:
For those of you who are not aware, inside the spanish 40k community the following events took place, that forced Gamesworkshop to make a public statement condemning racially charged and hateful ideologies.
- You will not do anything which may be detrimental to or adversely affect the goodwill or reputation of Games Workshop.
- You are a reputable event organiser of good standing in the local wargaming community.
- You are not the subject of any dispute with Games Workshop or any third party affiliated with Games Workshop.
- You have not committed any actual or alleged breach of contract with Games Workshop.
- You have not done or are suspected to have done anything which may be detrimental to or adversely affect the goodwill or reputation of Games Workshop.
Gamesworkshops statement
The TO in question that was responsible for the whole situation, has despite all this, been awarded the right to host the Warhammer Finals Qualifiers.
The TO in question did have an official response, but for those actually involved it left a sour taste. Despite what was evident from screenshots, the TO claimed that the individual in question, titled "Austrian Painter" was not wearing any obvious iconography.
You are free to draw your own conclusions, because screenshots and videos actually exist.
Moreover the TO showed absolutely no integrity when faced with the situation and actively punished the teams that had the integrity to stand up to these bigots.
As if all of this wasn't enough the TO's immediate response was also to blame the players that refused to play for "politically charging" the hobby.
If Warhammer is not a place of hate, why did Gamesworkshop award a TO with a shady history like that the honor to host some of the most prestigious events in our hobby space. I personally find it unacceptable and I hope we can spread this message in the community: We do not tolerate hate.
EDIT: More over the TO has helped in promoting the far right party Vox at their club house: https://twitter.com/VoxTalavera/status/1586447501518721024?s=20
EDIT2: As there is some confusion regarding which events are talked about.

As far as I am aware those are still Qualifier Events. This isn't targeted at the Iberian Open Series, but rather the GT's that still reward qualifier tickets.
So it appears Games Workshop has made a response to the ongoing controversy of someone wearing clothing with Falangist symbols at a tournament in Spain. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/11/19/the-imperium-is-driven-by-hate-warhammer-is-not/
I find this statement to be okay. For one, it says that there are no good guys in 40k, so suck it sigmarxism, you'll have to play morally dubious factions and like it. And it makes sense for a company to say that if you're causing a disruption to their business by wearing political symbols, they are going to tell you to leave. Hell, I'd go for an outright ban of wearing anything associated with a political or social group because it is just going to cause more problems.
The other thing is that this statement is just like the "Warhammer is for everyone" statement. GW is saying that they are taking a stand against intolerance without actually doing anything. Considering that this whole controversy started at a non-GW tournament, they have no control over it. GW will take a card-carrying fascist's money, just as long as it isn't in public.
Though get ready for Arch to make a 20 long minute seething video about how this is the SJW takeover of Games Workshop.
I lost 3 Necron Wraiths a couple weeks ago to spinal injuries (my girlfriend dropped a book on them). I feel your pain...>be me
>Buy giant servo skull resin model before I got into 3D printing
>It was way too fucking big for any of the painting setups.
> basically kind of push it into my autistic corner where I keep other stuff that I'm totally going to paint someday.
>Have to rebuild a custom setup to paint something this fucking big.
>I do
> Go to fetch the model
>I break the model
By the omnissiah.....lads I don't feel so good
They literally don't care. They feel the TO should have violated the law, because laws that violate progressive feels are not real laws. A "true ally" would have been willing to go to jail and risk their entire business to make a political statement on behalf of some fuckwits they will never know online, and since they're not "true allys" then they deserve to lose everything. Not sure why I can’t quote the @Alter Ego post but if that Redditor even did a small amount of reading about what happened they would know in Spain you cannot target people based on political beliefs. Yes other players complained but the moment he threw the guy out that TO’s ass would have been grass so his hands were effectively tied.
I had to look up what Falangism was, but if you swap out Spanish Catholicism with the church of trans advocacy, you've pretty much got modern wokeism. I suspect the rainbows coalition's wide array of political flags that directly promote dictatorial ideologies will be exempt from these rules. The only good dictators are the ones that hate their own people, apparently. The r/warhammer40k post was locked and removed.

The r/sigmarxism post is, as you might suspect, unchanged.
So in short, woke busybodies who are so foreign that they don't even speak the local language rally a mob over nothing. Not only did the OP confuse TOs, but even the TO he thought he was talking about already tightened their rules within legal limits to avoid a repeat incident and ran a successful tournament in the subsequent year. OP himself doesn't even appear to be from Spain, but rather Austria, at least as of two years ago from a quick search.
Stand strong and remind these fucknozzles that they are not welcome. Even if you can't do it directly, you can make it known that the hobby was here before them and will be here after them and that if they want to participate, the rest of us will not be bending to facilitate their comfort - they do it on the terms of their predecessors.I had to look up what Falangism was, but if you swap out Spanish Catholicism with the church of trans advocacy, you've pretty much got modern wokeism. I still play the Apocolypse mod, but only against the AI. It's stupid but great fun.Anyone in here play Soulstorm? Curious because the online player community actually does exist still in that game to a degree and it’s a great RTS.
I'm awful at RTS games and haven't played in about 2 years but I'd be down to playAnyone in here play Soulstorm? Curious because the online player community actually does exist still in that game to a degree and it’s a great RTS.
In terms of kill teams to play? I haven’t played Kill Team but since you want to play Night Lords, get the Legionaries Kill Team box as that’s the one for Chaos Space Marines.I want to get into Kill Team to play with a coworker that is also a 40k nerd (I've really only done video games and read lore). Night Lords are my favorite but there are so many options that it's kind of overwhelming. Can anyone give me some tips?
