Kek a shuriken cannon outdoes a freaking Assault Cannon.

Marines are truly shit tier in tt. They look cool, that's... that's it.
I dunno I feel it's a bit of a push, 6 shots where a 6 to hit damages anything versus 3 shots where a 6 to hit gives you another hit to go through wounds and saves. Yeah the shuriken can potentially deal twice the damage, but the assault cannon has a decent chance of getting a mortal wound through to anything from a Gretchen to a Knight if you really need it.

The Eliminatior melta definitely feels like it's anti heavy infantry than anti vehicle(as Jergen intended) but their abilities might change that, since Anti-(model type) is a weapon keyword now, it's potential they'll have a different melta option for vehicles, or ability to tune the weapon to give it an anti- keyword as a baked into the data sheet strategem.

Shuriken cannons are massive heavy shuriken weapons. Corsairs and Dark Reapers can wield a modified version but otherwise, they're vehicle and monster-mounted.

So are assault cannons. They are exclusive to terminators, you can't take them onto devastators. Sadly.

You know who can take assault cannons? Chaos havocs. Another common w for heretics. Loyalist absolutely btfo'd.

Edit: and rubric marines too!
Sorry to rain on your parade, fellow heretic, but Havocs have access to the reaper chaincannon, not the assault cannon. The reaper is more of a low strength, high volume of fire weapon. And rubric marines have their own unique high volume of fire cannon.

It's pretty much the same thing and loyalist needs terminators/dreadnoughts to use them now so still a w

They look like beefed up HH rotor cannons, which are a lesser variant.

I mean, they look cool, but aren't ACs.

If they let specific chapter masters allow army wide buffs or allowances like they used to while letting certain chapters have their own codex, I'll be content

EDIT THAT I THOUGHT OF AS SOON AS I HIT POST: Hopefully they'll bring back the "flavor" for Chaos legions/warbands. I wasn't around for the glorious days when Iron Warriors had access to Basilisks, but reading up on that stuff was great

Sounds like in 10th they're starting to consolidate the concept of chapters down, and in 11th they might try and consolidate the SM datasheet lineup. Good news all around.
Thank God for the death of chapter (i.e. color) specific rules. It prompted me to start a Black Consuls SM army for 10th as they have peak aesthetics in color design: black, gold, red, and white (chapter markings only).

Color locked rules was retarded as fuck, good riddance!

The eldar Falcon now gives you a free Doom. I think it was smart to spruce it up, I usually don't see falcons in other craftworld or ynari lists.
But the more farseer casts I see being made into armywide rules just has me dreading what's in store for psykers.

9e Falcons being drop pods has given them a fair amount of utility, to be fair.

It kinda clashes with the lore. The only SM I could think of that will have unanimous chapter following is Dante, since even the Primarchs are disliked by opposing chapters.

Anyone know where to get miscellaneous bits for kitbashing? I've cut all my unused parts out of their sprues and semi-organized them.
