Anyone know how good scale 75 Metallics are? Particularly their gold because I'm struggling to find a gold acrylic that I like. I heard a good recipe is to mix gw retributor armor with scale 75 decayed metal and than layer it with retributor armor mixed with a bit of silver.

I've heard Scale 75 is good in general.

I had to go back a year or two but this might be of help:

He compares the common ones to actual gold. His recipie at the end:

3 drops Vallejo metal color gold
2 drops Vallejo metal color copper
1/128th teaspoon Greenstuff World pure metal antique gold
1 drop flow improver

I will shill GSW pure metals, they sell you a pot with a metallic powder that you turn into paint by adding any acrylic medium. With just a dab of it it looks like shiny molten gold or similar.

If it has to be Scale75, replace highlighting your gold with silver with something like citrine alchemy which is much subtler.

I just built the Field Ordnance Battery. It really sucks how GW really hamstrings you into building by the numbers. Besides changing heads there are no easy ways to make your kit unique.
One of the best parts about playing Orks is that you get to kitbash to your heart's content and you still don't break the aesthetic. On top of that, the older 2018 Boyz kit is still readily available and almost every ork kit comes with a shit load of extra bits.

Speaking of that, I finally bit the bullet and picked up a Stompa kit for maximum stupid on the tabletop. Will it ever see serious play? Not likely. It'll definitely make appearances at our casual fun games though.

Funny you mention that. I gave my ork playing friend a Morvann Vahl proxy that I thought he was going to give to his wife but he ended up kitbashing it.

Man, just do an image search for "Ork Looted Tank" and you'll strike gold. Here's an oldie but goodie:

And let's not forget the infamous Looted Carnifex.

Well, that was all kind of a wet fart.

Biggest news is every Codex coming in 10ed will come with at least 1 new model, if not outright line refreheses. (I'm guessing this isn't the case for Marines/Nids but who knows.)

Bit of a bummer that Custodes are getting an initial wave codex, that means they'll be completely underpowered by the midpoint of 10th edition. Ah well.

Here's what GW considers the active factions in 40k now I guess? No Harlequins, and if you bought into Ynnead, well, enjoy your unusable soup components, Dark and or Craftworld Eldar players. (Also, wow, they really are terrified of what to do with Slannesh / EC, aren't they?)

All none drukari Eldar factions were added to the aeldari codex this edition.

It was kind of odd the World Eaters didn't get the 40k versions of the Red Butchers (their specialized terminators), but I guess GW are saving them for 10th. That's just my guess.
Still expecting the Emperor's Children Codex, new Lucius, new Noise Marines, and Fulgrim, though.

An index is just a stop gap allowing armies to be played at all in the new system. Usually a minor rewrite of the previous codex.
So the codex will be mandatory for competitive play. This doesn't achieve their goal of making wahapedia obsolete.

We haven't seen what their Official App ™ will look like now that they noticed how everyone needs wahapedia to write a list.
The Harlequin disrespect going on at the moment leads me to believe some custodes dickhead has his hands on the rules roadmap.

It's old but apperantly Tactica Imperialis (of the Adeptus Podcastus podcast) is a tranny, and he made a video about it nine months ago. Not going to watch the video because I don't want the risk the nightmare fuel of seeing him as a tranny. I share it mainly because there seems to be a 40k content to tranny pipeline, the guy is a teacher (which is always a bad sign), and that it was so lazy I didn't notice until he said he did it in a podcast.

Edit: Also 1d4chan is back

Heresy reveals and roadmap are a disaster.

Roadmap needs to be in reverse.

For those of you who dont know much about heresy as a game system. Legion Command and Assault squads are pivotal units in this game. A lot of armies and legions can essentially base themselves around these. This road map says we essentially wont get these till TWO years after this system dropped. Really bad sign. New characters they showed today are worthless. Especially the fists. This is like their 9th legion exclusive model when salamanders dont even have a preator. The new plastic tactical squad is mark 3... again. We have mark 3 already???? They are also more tactical squads. WE DONT NEED MORE TACTICAL SQUADS, EVERY ONE HAS 3 TACTICALS SQUADS.
The lords of war blurb is even more dire. This leads into more things I have to explain. The lords of war slot in horus heresy has 2 restrictions. You cant bring more then 1 ever, and it cant be more then 25% of the point total of your army. This is why you dont see primarchs much at sub 2.5-3k point games. Now, we have had a lot of lords of war already converted to plastic here. The only thing left its things like thunderhawks. I want you all to understand that you cant play that realistically unless you are at 4.5k+ points. Most people will NEVER play a game at that size period. for people who even can, that's the type of game you only play like, a handful of times a year. It could be a lord of war for other factions but.... like what, nothing else is really old. ]
Knight lancers is a 40k release. There are probably under 100 actual knight heresy players in the world period. They arent a real factor in the horus heresy community.

Lastly, the primarch model, what this needs to be is Ascended Lorgar or Jagatai on bike. The fact that there is doubt in my heart, and I feel its even possible that this will be a new Rogal Dorn, show the state we are really in right now.
