The recent Krieger kit is technically called "Kill Team: Veteran Guardsmen." Seems plenty available for $60 MSRP ($51 discount) to me.
I know. I have two of them, both were gifts (one for my birthday, and one more recently from a friend who wants to get into the hobby).

I'm struggling to find other stuff with them. I've thought about kitbashing the spare heads onto Cadians.

As people suggested, your best bet is 3rd party stores that actually have really good lookin' Krieg models.

Heresy reveals and roadmap are a disaster.

Roadmap needs to be in reverse.

For those of you who dont know much about heresy as a game system. Legion Command and Assault squads are pivotal units in this game. A lot of armies and legions can essentially base themselves around these. This road map says we essentially wont get these till TWO years after this system dropped. Really bad sign. New characters they showed today are worthless. Especially the fists. This is like their 9th legion exclusive model when salamanders dont even have a preator. The new plastic tactical squad is mark 3... again. We have mark 3 already???? They are also more tactical squads. WE DONT NEED MORE TACTICAL SQUADS, EVERY ONE HAS 3 TACTICALS SQUADS.
The lords of war blurb is even more dire. This leads into more things I have to explain. The lords of war slot in horus heresy has 2 restrictions. You cant bring more then 1 ever, and it cant be more then 25% of the point total of your army. This is why you dont see primarchs much at sub 2.5-3k point games. Now, we have had a lot of lords of war already converted to plastic here. The only thing left its things like thunderhawks. I want you all to understand that you cant play that realistically unless you are at 4.5k+ points. Most people will NEVER play a game at that size period. for people who even can, that's the type of game you only play like, a handful of times a year. It could be a lord of war for other factions but.... like what, nothing else is really old. ]
Knight lancers is a 40k release. There are probably under 100 actual knight heresy players in the world period. They arent a real factor in the horus heresy community.

Lastly, the primarch model, what this needs to be is Ascended Lorgar or Jagatai on bike. The fact that there is doubt in my heart, and I feel its even possible that this will be a new Rogal Dorn, show the state we are really in right now.
I frankly got lucky White Scar Resin is new, mk 6 fits the white scars, and plastic jetbikes already. Im nearing the completion of my White Scars just in time for 10th.

I'm impressed by how gritty the new cavaliers are.

Tangentially (without a better thread for this), Midwinter Minis just posted a video pearl-clutching over Nazi factions in WW2 tabletop wargames like Bolt Action.

Nowhere near as bad as Extra Credits' infamous Nazi video, but the agony on display is still annoying and wildly off-base to explain why historical wargames are not popular. The simple matter is that historical wargames, like scale models, are a niche interest compared to (space) fantasy. For the time and money involved in the tabletop hobby, people generally want something more visually exciting than mundane real-life history.

A couple of big counterpoints against MM's theory immediately comes to mind. First, if Nazi factions were such a big issue, then WW2 wouldn't be the most popular theme by far for historical wargames. Second, WW2-themed multiplayer video games with playable Axis forces (like MM's sponsor World of Warships in this very video) have long been immensely popular without issue. Those like Extra Credits who raise a stink about it are rightfully mocked.

I wonder how much of this voiceover was MM feeling like they have to preemptively apologize to Leftists for painting a panzer. It's astounding that among their brainstormed reasons for "actively collecting an Axis army", it's left unmentioned that German armor and vehicles just look cool.

Cawl datasheet preview is up on Warhammer Community, and he no longer requires Mars. Not a single mention of Mars on the sheet, it's all AdMech. Same thing with the Blueberry, no more Ultrasmurfs required.

This is my favorite change in 10th edition so far. No more SPESHUL OC DONUT STEEL chapters. Characters will be characters and affect factions instead.

... Having said that, Angron affects the World Eaters and not Khornites or Chaos, which I guess is because you don't want a bunch of Death Guard being lead by Angron, cause they do have wildly different rules and there might be some pretty odd overlap.

It seems more convenient but really doesn't fit well with Necrons. Some rival dynasty leaders hate each other more than any of their enemies so it makes little to no sense to have them mingling with each other on a battlefield.

It makes sense for "legendary" characters. A chapter should only be lead by its chapter master tho (maybe barring cases of shared lineage).

I don't care if curved armor is more effective, germans flat angles look cool.

One of the best parts of the video is that he says he only advertise things he plays, goes not to advertise World of Warships and the tech tree that is showed in the video is the German one and lots of the ships he used in the ad are the German ones.

I imagine they might make an exception for that,
Now what really would of been dumb would of been allowing chaos players to field all 4 greater daemons types in one army, but iirc they just allowed each CSM faction (plus Lucius) to summon their specific deity

Do you have 8 minutes to hear about Chaos Undivided and your friend and saviour Lorgar?

So who is preordering the Leviathan box? Pre orders are open the 10th of June and it looks like they will make a lot to release thank god. Overall it seems like a good deal £150 here with a physical codex and I think 2 1000 point armies, its like 750 - 1000. Can you repurpose the Space Marines to other factions because I will just make them blood angels. The nid stuff is great though and the 150 is pretty much worth it just for the nids really.

I am pretty hyped for 10th though my other hobbies bar ff14 have gone to shit.

Only interested in the terminators so ill be getting the combat patrol. will probably paint them as BT since normal termintors are whatever in my BA.

Nice. It's like a better version of Hive Fleet Kraken. The dark scales provide great contrast.
Wanted to experiment with a full contrast scheme. Very happy with how it came out. Lizardmen supremacy.
