The Hunter/Stalker getting axed is odd too. Poor assault marine, you had a good run. And there isn't even a primaris assault intercessor with a jetpack.
And it gets worse from here

I was pissed when they turned scouts from a troops choice to an elite, so I had to drop them in favor of death company. Then they just up and do away with them. R.I.P. the lads i used them more than tac marines.

Brent from Goobertown Hobbies (who honestly always gave me the creeps, because with his long hair and wheedling voice, it seemed to me he was about one bad day away from putting on a dress and calling himself Brenda) has done a video where he's painted all the female models from Games Workshop's 40k starter sets, providing us with this faintly nightmarish thumbnail.

My question is, as someone who's vocally very supportive of troons and troonism, how does he KNOW they're female? You can't tell, just by looking, right? 🤔

You never asked how those Eldar identify, Brent, you fucking TERF!!

Man, they really did these troopers dirty

I've seen a couple of the gender swaps of sororitas models and it's honestly hilarious. "Misters of Battle."

On some good news Battlescribe isn't kill and it'll be supporting 10th edition.
The tabletop simulator discord group I'm in just announced that they are dropping support for Battlescribe and are using Rosterizer instead. Frankly the free wargear in 10th makes list builders obsolete. Do your own math.

Rosterizer is absolute cancer, and a web-app to boot. It's unacceptable to expect one to make an account for a list-builder, so it'll be nice to have Battlescribe on hand once it pulls through. Even though points are gone and we're all just playing with power level, it's nice to have everything collated in one place with a decent interface and reasonable outputs, especially since I also use Battlescribe for wargames other than 40k.

I’ll be a simp for GW and say that at least they said that the retired models can still be used as Primaris equivalents. Sure, you’ll probably want to use the Primaris models due to their size, but it means that you didn’t waste all those hours on your army for nothing.

That was one of the big reasons AoS left a bad taste for many players; GW took a shit on armies that players had built up for years, even decades by ending Fantasy as a game line.

Scouts aren't mentioned as being removed completely like assaults, bikers, and speeders, so I think only those kits are being retired and scouts will get a new kit with the codex.

Finally got around to playing 10th. I really appreciate the simplicity, especially the toned down strategems. It's fun to spend more time thinking about the game than the rules.

Any good salt on the Space Marines being replaced? The usual people who bitched about it for nearly a decade pretty much took it for granted once the news arrived

Recently got interested in this and it's kinda cool.

There's a podcast called Adeptus Ridiculous that I've been listening to and it's pretty entertaining and imo just a better way to learn about the lore than Luetin's autistic snooze-inducing style.

Anyway I've had one burning question since I started listening to it:

The producer/researcher person......Shy or Shai or whatever....... It's a troon isn't it?

I don't care about social media at all so I'm never gonna look up any person enough to know this, so I thought I'd ask here in case anyone knows for sure.

There's a bunch of reasons I suspect it's a troon.
1. We never hear them speak, ever. The are even moments where the hosts ask Shy questions directly and still silence followed by an image or quote they can react to. The person is either mute or really doesn't want anyone to hear their voice for some reason.

2. The way the 2 hosts call Shy "she" has some air of insincerity to it that I picked up on the first time I heard it. Plus they try really hard to avoid pronouns. They'll use the name if they can.

3. There was one episode, just one, where Bricky called Shy a he. I thought perhaps it was a FTM finally deciding to adopt male pronouns, but the next episode they went back to she, so I'm guessing it was a slipup that they either didn't catch in editing or caught it but couldn't do anything to really fix it.

So is Shy is a troon?

Anyway on topic, I really like their zany yet sort of logical guess at what could happen to humanity in 40000 years. Not holding my breath on the supernatural aspects, but the way everything eventually devolves into a religion, to the extent that tech priests exist, and that the Emperor who pushed for the most atheist way of life he could ended up being seen as a god, makes a lot of sense.
Also like how expansive the lore is. It really feels like they've been writing this stuff for 1000s of years.

Not really a fan of any of the non-human races, though the necrons are interesting at least.

Shy is mute, but probably also a troon. People following Warframe drama closely might know more, since that was his(?) previous haunt, from which he's subsequently DFE'd.
ETA: The full handle was (is?) Quiette Shy, with the spelling on the former being a troon red flag in my eyes alongside the acknowledgement of muteness.
