I don't know why the CSM would consider Cawl's work an abomination. If anything they should be hitting their heads on the table for not coming up with something like the Primaris.
The explanation was that the Astartes are the work of the Emperor, and this is against his grand design, even if they despise everything E stands for.

Bile would love to do this shit though.

I thought the new Bile miniature came with an aide removing that primaris organ thing. I thought primaris CSM were in the horizon for sure.

Hmmm...Okay, so what would be the good UV Light resin ones? Say if my budget is like around 200-300 euro
East, Mars 2 Pro. It’s the industry standard for home printers. Literally idiot proof and easy to use. Takes less than 15 minutes from unboxing to starting your first print.

You could get the printer, the wash & cure station and 2 liters of resin and still come in under your budget.

They just can't stop fucking me in the ass can they

Expected price is the usual so 160$/125EU for 270 pts

The box has nothing against vehicles or high toughness targets and combat patrol rules wise you are supposed to run Sterylizors, in case you have never read Admech datasheets Sterylizors are shit and they have always been shit the other version of the Pteraxii kit the Skystalker being just barely usable with their "ride the thermals" rule, the only thing Sterylizors have is that they slow units down with their flamers so you can move them to be within 12" shoot with them once (possibly slow down one unit ) and expect them to die next turn because it's a T4 SV4+ ISV5+ W2 model

I've wanted to start AdMech for years, but I've never seen an army that's so difficult to collect. And this is coming from someone who plays Genestealer Cult.

Maybe they'll be drastically buffed with the new corresponding Combat Patrol datasheets? How good has Combat Patrol balancing been to correct glaring weaknesses?

If you get nothing but various AdMech box sets for the past several years, you'd actually wind up with a full and varied army.

Don't unless you want to collect them just for cool models like how I started, but if you actually want to play them don't bother it is a miserable slog where each new edition you will get one model that is not dogshit and if you want to put up any amount of resistance on the table you will have to spam it and while doing that your army keeps becoming more hordy to the point where now 10 vanguard is 80 points where 10 cadian shock troops is 60 and the worst part is they keep making the actual army/faction rules worse and worse and I don't mean worse just from a mathhammer perspective they are just fucking boring.

Playing the old admech combat patrol felt like you arrived on the board with half of your army dead, also non of the units were buffed and if I remember right the Kataphrons were actually nerfed since they did not have the overwatch special rule that destroyer now have, and the Doctrina Imperative ability was also removed from them for some fucking reason. And that is all while using nonsensical weapon choices.

Also how about the joke where GW gives you rangers who's sticky objective rule that they have is given to all battle-line units so in essence you are given a worse unit choice for a meme

So I'm going necrons as my first army. What are some must have units apart from a warrior blob and lychguard? What I have currently is that older start collecting box with the barge, one lokhust heavy, a canoptek reanimator, two thralls and a 20 blob of warriors.

Tried watching a Valrak video. Has anyone else noticed he's become even more of a gleeful GW arse tounger? He sounds enthusiastic in a way that comes of as a completely disingenious act. It's not sincere love of something. It's just blatant shilling.

I was watching this video. Northern Exile is quite milquetoast in it but the comments mention Valrak a lot in a negative light. So Valrak is responding to comments about himself in real time.

Day later edit: He's still seething and commenting. For some reason Northern Exile is kissing his arse.

Valrak is and has always been such a fag he could be a pride parade all by his lonesome.

I don't dislike Valrak but his aching consumerism is terrible for the hobby. GW could sell an old dish sponge that was blackened with mildew, say it was a Primarch, and he'd happily plop down 150 pounds for it.

Happened to be passing by in the thread and saw this, might be sticking the Mars 2 Pro on the wishlist this year. Always wanted to try 3D printing for models for all the small shit that costs a fortune to find for whatever reason. Thanks for the recommendation.

Valrak is the literal definition of a consoomer. I'm surprised no one has used screenshots of him to make a soyjak, he has so many expressions that would fit.

I remember that the thread has some heresy players and wanted to ask someone who played heresy what plastic models are generally good to have just as a nice model to occasionally splash into a list, mostly asking about things like tanks and dreads.

for context the only Heresy models I have are the two box sets.

If you have both of the boxes, you're pretty well set. I'd add a Leviathan to round out your Dreadnought collection, a couple of Predators or Sicarans, and some Rhinos for DTs. The Kratos looks cool but isn't really worth its points, and the big resin tanks like the Fellblade are still expensive as hell moneywise.

shooting or melee leviathan ?

what is considered a sort of medium strength weapon for heresy so far in my head bolters are overall low strength plasma is medium and stuff like volkite or melta is high so if I want an all rounder predator a main gun plasma cannon would be a decent choice for load out or am getting the general power level of guns wrong

Edit: forgot to add this both times are special/heavy weapons worth the investment ?

I'd say melee for the Leviathan. The storm cannon and melta lance are good ranged options, but if you want a shooty dread, you've got a Deredeo. As far as the Predator, the plasma cannon isn't a terrible option, but its stock gun actually has good damage potential against most things in the game and it's free, so that plus lascannon sponsons gives you a good all-rounder unit for relatively cheap.

Weapon strength is kinda tricky to calculate because different weapons have different uses and so many Legions have special rules that modify a given type, like the +1 to hit on bolt and auto weapons for Imperial Fists or the -1 to wound Salamanders get against flamers, plasma, melta, and volkite. That said, I'd argue that volkites are the mid-tier weapon. They have better damage output than bolters overall, but they lack the raw killing power of meltas or lascannons. On the other hand, meltas are short-range and anything carrying one tends to draw a lot of fire, so you have to plan ahead when using them or risk your unit getting blown off the table before it can kill anything. Plasma got a nerf to AP4, so it's not always worth taking anymore.

Special and heavy weapons squads are absolutely worth it; they're your main source of non-bolter firepower. Plasma support squads are probably the best way to field plasma now and it's also the only way to put lots of volkites or meltas on the table.
