Really it's when I hover over a unit. The text is small. I have to focus to read it. But I'll try that. Also it's letterboxed. Might have to do with the screen being 14 inches
I can't really help with that because I'm an illiterate savage that skips every tooltip and cutscene then just trial and error until I can actually play the game.

BTW which campaign are you playing first?

Hey, I’m going through my Christmas gifts and put together my current Space Marine army list.

Can you guys suggest what my next purchases should be? I know I’ve got some areas that need additional units for different strategies. But I’ve got some gift cards to flesh them out with.

I’m at a little over 5k points if I were to use it all, and I’ll be playing peeps with similar sized armies for massive battles at some times, so don’t judge for some of the bulk picks.

Characters (730 points)
3x Apothecary Biologis
3x Librarians in terminator armor
3x Captains in terminator armor, 1 as warlord
1x Lieutenant in Phobos armor

Infantry (1,615 points)
1x 10 man Hellblaster Squad
3x 10 man Infernis Squads
3x 5 man Sternguard Veteran squads
3x 5 man Terminator squads

Vehicles (420 points)
3x Ballistus Dreadnaughts
(I also have a Leviathan and Contemptor, not currently added bc of Legends rules)

Dedicated Transport (225 points)
3x Rhino

Allied Units (2,200 points)
1x Reaver Titan

Been sorting my other models as I get them out of storage and I’ve put together the following armies (including the Thousand Sons I bought)

For Fantasy (booo, I know but…)
Empire 2,345 points
Orcs & Goblins 1,759 points

For 40k…
Tyranids 3,435 points
Orks 1,980 points
Thousand Sons 4,375 pts (they have a Warhound Titan)

It’s been great rediscovering my collection and comparing it to the new stuff.

And my buddies who are new to 40k get their armies on Christmas.

Happy Holidays to all of yall fellow Warhammer 40k autists 😇

I'd get some Intercessors or good old fashioned tac squads and a Chaplain or two. Any other unit suggestion would be dependent on if you're going for gunline or melee focus.

For the Space Marines question, what's your prefered playstyle or detachment? It'll inform the recommendations.

I prefer fast action if that matters. I haven’t played in over a decade so I’m coming in fresh.

Mobility and range are things I like. Sorry if this is vague ☹️

If you want mobility, Vanguard Veterans and the jump pack Intercessors are good options. Bikes are good for mobility, but kinda mid otherwise. For range, you can always get an Eliminator squad or two.

Grabbed the VV & Eliminators, then was weak and got some heavy & assault intercessors.

Ty for the help.

If you grabbed VV, looking at the rest of your minis, you should look into Bladeguards and try tge 1st Company detachment. It's considered underpowered right now but will probably be buffed in the upcoming January dataslate (ie patch). The company buffs veteran units- Terminators and anything with "veteran" in the name.

Beyond that, 3 Ballistus ought to give you all the AT you need so perhaps an Impulsor could be useful to get Bladeguards around the table. Land Raider Redeemers marry well with Terminators too. A Jump Pack Chaplain would help your VV too.

1D4chan has been down for awhile.
Anyone know why or for how long?

Yeah, it's been down for an at least two week. But for one reason or another the admin has been afk over some IRL stuff and the site inevitably shits the bed.

Shit just happens, you know?

Started painting a Plague Furnace that has just been sitting there gathering dust for over a year. I shan't buy another. I hate painting ropes.

Ok, maybe I’m just totally missing it but where in the hell are just regular ass chaos space marines listed in battlescribe? Like I can find every other unit for the CSM army list, but I’m just not finding the CSMs.

I bought ~ 3,400 points of assembled yet unpainted Chaos space marines for $300 on FB marketplace. It was too good of a deal to say no to. I was already going to buy a helldrake and forgefiend anyway, this came with both + so much more….

They're called "Legionaries" now.

Reading grey hunter and actually laughed at "he put it at his mouth and instinct made him blow"
Also
Genefather is funking amazing 👏
Cawl is the new cain novel
Like taking the piss out of previous books is *chefs kiss*

Ty! I was kinda guessing since the ones that are labeled legionaries on the boxes they came with look exactly like the regular CSM units.

Ty so much.

Absolutely shocked the Store Anniversary models aren't regular boring Space Marines of some kind. It's nice to see GW take a risk every now and again.

I like what they've been doing with Tyranids, but I'm going full tilt into The Old World when the Greenskins get a box so can't get preoccupied with it.
