Depends. Or maybe they'll just say that some of the men in armor are actually women, and that Custodes wearing the armor cannot be distinguished from male or female, as a way to spite the ''dommy mommy'' fetishists. Kind of like how female Spartans used to be in Halo before Halo Reach gave Spartan mommies Hartman Hips.
An gawd bless Reach for the sexy Spartan suits.

I'm happy there's a fan outcry that might deter the plague for few years, but this shit literally happens every two years.
* Killing Fantasy.
* Primaris.
* Killing Yarrick.
* Going after fan artists.

So it seems most of you are intent on weathering the storm that is the oncoming DEI faggotry deluge
I'm just here to watch the world burn, at this point
some of you hate Primaris Marines,
Who doesn't?
Do you suppose things will get so bad at GW that they'll have to undo the woke retcons made now and yet to come, or do you think they're permanent you don't care anyway?
I kind of doubt if they'll do an unambiguous retcon, because as "great" as the franchise is, it mainly exists to drain your retirement funds by prolonging shit until their sales starts to decline.

* Going after fan artists.
Okay, I seriously gotta ask when this has happened. Again, not counting the Astarters guy cause he was offered a job or the TTS guys because they just lied to drop a project. But, have any other fan art makers even been targetted by GW?

putting a female head on a Custodes model and changing the setting to accommodate it is not going to get more women to play the game.
They really do underestimate how little women give a shit about nerd culture. At the risk of sounds like Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dweller, most women don't give a fuck about a lot of things unless it's popular among men, so that liking it themselves will make them attractive in some capacity (purely survival, find a mate mentality) or at the very least give them a bunch of attention ("Look at me! I'm a rare nerd girl, look at me!") Or, to echo the feelings of my Father and many other Fathers, they hate that it bring us happiness so they seek to destroy anything that will take attention away from them.
They haven't made an actual post about it on twitter or Warhammer-Community.

Most they did so far.

I'll be honestly, when people say "GW went after fan artists" it was largely exaggerated. They would give people the "ultimatum" of "make animations for us or not at all" to scare people into compliance. Some people like SODAZ caved like the Korean he is, so did Alfabusa, others told GW to fuck off. The people who were hired faded into obscurity as they probably made less money working for GW than with a Patreon with none of the good reputation (in fact that had probably vanished too as many people were upset with the Astartes creator caving in to GW). I have not seen or heard GW actually go after artists to take them down, matter of fact the last one I saw that GW genuinely went after was Arch, and they just had him remove the "Warhammer" in his name as not to be associated with him.

About two years back they either did or announced they will. TTS stopped because of it but nothing came out of it. You can add Warhammer+ to the list of "I will never buy GW product controversies.

Like I said before, the Alfabusa just BSed with thay shit. They were never even approached by GW, they quickly dished out a video saying how "muh ish scawed wittled youtuber" when in reality, they wanted to fold the project for a while and this was a perfect gateway for em.

During one stream, one of their guys let it slip by accident, how they didnt like the series becomin too serious and they knew theit fans wouldnt have been happy if they went back to comedy, so the GW shit was a perfect exit for them AND to.keep that Patreon cash.

Me slowly inhaling and exhaling.

“Yeah they’re going to blame it all on their media guy who’s a troon and he’s going to 41% himself and the lore goes back to normal. I’ll finish a custodes army and Henry Cavill will tell me I did a great job”

The only weird part to me is how they then attached themselves to kinda-WoD stuff which if you want to avoid restrictive batshit fanbases that's not the move.

Yarrick should come back reincarnated as an ork due to their nature and be bros with Gaz.

Warboss Kommizar Yarrick and he launches along with a sprue of salvaged imperium bits for orks.

Better this than a ugly bulldog “daughter” like poor old Creed.

I think the idea was "Well, we cannot go to WH, we'll prob get called out. D&D is oversatturated, CoC players wont live long, Cyberpunk aint that popular....aaah..fuck it, lets try WoD"

I knew that, but it was still a big controversy. Ironically both them and Arch tried to diverge into Vampire the Masquerade following that, with the latter giving up pretty fast. In the end no matter what alternative you go into in tabletop/roleplay, everything is significantly more pozzed than GW.

Funny thing Yarrick was implied to be gay.

I think its less pozzed and more that Vampire is a hard bitch to sell. With CP, you got neon lights, cybernetics, cool actions scenes an retrowave stuff. Cthulhu you got that horror of the unknown and dark gods, D&D is going on adventures an etc. What does Vampire have? Its pretty much a very heavy roleplay political thriller, good luck selling that to the average viewer.

Lets be real, all of the kvetching going on in this thread isn't going to stop any of you purchasing the new plastic crack GW put out. I'm also going to put my cards on the table, I like 40k for the lore, only, I'm not artistic or autistic enough to play the tabletop.

That being said, one short story in a codex 3 people will buy then upload the rules for everyone else... It's not going to get me disinterested in the lore not when I've read (listened to in audiobook format) nearly 100 40k books at this point.

One short story isn't enough to put me off from the setting. Especially when they did it with so little fanfare.

The Astartes guy and SODAZ were hired by GW, as in getting paid as contractors to produce animations. However because SODAZ was korean he had a moronic fanbase that started sending him death threats for becoming a GW employee or whatever, so he just dropped everything and walked away.

Alfabusa was a fucking liar who wanted an "out" without pissing off his community as he didn't want to do the warhammer animations anymore. His production had gotten down to an episode a year for the last 3-4 years. They tried to do an RPG and that failed. The book reviews took just as much work and that failed too. When GW made their post bitching about using trademarked shit and never did anything, Alfabusa took that as his out to be able to just come up with whatever halfassed art he wanted rather than needing to cut out old GW images and mess with them for the "animations". He was making damn near $20,000 a month on patreon(still is) for producing fuck all and didn't want to lose that so went for the pity route. You'll notice this absolutely didn't stop FlashGitz from doing their black templar/furry shit, however they switched to the space king thing because without it involving GWs IP at all monetizing it means there's zero issue. And other people have done animations of 40k stuff since Alfabusa quit without issue or mention from GW as well.

I think some women are more malicious but I don't get hating ones thst do just want to hang out with men but don't do anything egregious, or that like it for more female centric reasons like cosplay or interpersonal character interactions and fanfic but recognize that they're a part of not the whole of the hobby.

I think that's healthier than expecting women to just be your tabletop buddy that you van also fuck or this progressive version which is the same except instead of fucking she pegs you. The hobby branching to have elements that genuinely appeal to women rather than forcing it to be feminine or forcing women to like the male centric elements.

So your gf liking it solely because she's happy whenever you cheer making a good strategic decision like they do with sports where it's about the personal stakes in the players rather than the crunch for most part most of the time, or thinking Macha would be cool to dress as with you also maybe liking that sort of thing. Or she just likes ork speak or maybe can talk lore with you because she likes emo konrad fics

It's worse than that. VTM 5th tried to fetishize the shit even worse than previous editions(and there was some wehraboo on the staff as well that inserted a bunch of weird german shit into the books), with the result being so bad that the whole thing got handed off to Renegade Studios to scrub and re-release it a couple of years ago. Even the older versions, there was still a lot of weird implied shit in the books, and of course the RP/LARP crowd always took it a step too far into deviant shit. That's not exactly an easy sell for a parent that their kid might be interested in compared to most of the other stuff on the market. Combine that with the RP heavy political stuff and you've got a niche within a niche, with another niche theme thrown on top of it. Even if you tried to balance out the RP aspects with combat encounters, the shit always either stagnated since there was basically a soft cap for power due to the generation/diablerie thing or you ignored it and the shit got off the rails broken quicker than a 15th level D&D 3.5 game.

There absolutely are women completely into every aspect of 40k, and that's great, but they're also a rarity. It just gets tiresome seeing nerd shit labeled as some weird "no girls allowed club" when that couldn't be further from the truth since only incel faggots would want to prevent women interested in the same shit they are, from participating in those hobbies. I suppose that might actually be happening more often in some groups these days because you can't simply call someone at the game store a dumb faggot anymore for going out of their way to drive off women. Kind of turns the whole thing into a self fulfilling prophecy sort of scenario if you think about it that way, because if you do call them out, you risk getting cancelled over it.

Among other unsolicited opinions from gay retards who don't even play 40k.

A lot of people in this thread just want to put their head in the sand, pray for Games Workshop to not go 'woke' and just ignore the fact that they are a publically traded monolith company with a lot of shareholders in their ears asking them to changes they'd like to see and they are not in anyway loyal or owe their current customer base anything and they can and will jump ship if there's an opprotunity to make more cash elsewhere.

So you guys instead put yourselves in this incredibly passive position of 'please leave women out of my safe space and let me hug my plastic figurines in peace'. No one is forcing you to buy GW slop, and there are other brands out there that aren't going to be 40k but are much smaller scale and much more accountable to a customer base than GW is.

Why not seek alternatives? Why not be willing to create those alternatives yourselves? Do people not realize with the advent of 3d printing it's easier than ever to design your own figurines and hilariously probably cheaper than buying 40k shit? These issues are not going away no matter how much you whine. Again, these companies owe you nothing and lore and artistic integrity are abstracts that are the first to be sold out when times get tough.

Anyways thanks for listening to my ted talk now gtfo.
