Yes, the Fans are up in arms because of women existing. Which is why the Sisters of Battle are one of the most popular factions in the setting that routinely sell plenty of books of figures. At this point you have to just call out the malicious lies for what they are. This is industrial scale gas lighting.

I love how these people think D&D was created by these ultra hip hippie liberals Gary gygax hated homosexuals and was devout Christian most of the big metal acts were Catholic I'm sorry that evangelical Christianity which is about as Christian as that one guy who got caught snorting cocaine off gay prostitutes *****.

Also that's some history were you writing at its finest the first people to hate on D&D were feminist who said it literally encourage men to be rapists

and most of the anti video game craze came from bill clinton's vice president Al Gore wife

Tipper Gore

they were Democrats they just need this rewriting of history to pretend that video games were always filled with all these left wing idiots they were not
most of the video game creators of that time didn't care about politics and we're neutral

like all leftists 90% of their version of history is outright lies

Wow this sounds like a really fun discord! Here's something interesting. The normal thing would be to include women in the groups you can't discriminate against.

To a discord janny, "bio-holes" are either handmaidens, lesbian unicorn sex dispensers or transmisogynistic terfs, none of which deserve respect.
However they weren't part of the regular set and there wasn't much fan demand

I do think GW want and is hoping that the amazon show causes WH to blowup among casuals and women the way D&D in the past decade. BUt doubt that will ever happen. With TRPGs. all you need is friends who play and some dice and book, has a far lower bar of entry, that allows women as casual players to just dip a toe in. In D&D you don't spends hundred of dollars then weeks, or even months building and painting you army, before you even get around to reading both the rulebook and your army book let alone actually play. There is no such thing as a "just get in casually" the money and time won't justify it.

Ya the Amazon show might pique some interest beyond the traditional demographic. But once they learn how much time any money it takes to get into it the interest in playing will 95% of potential new people will diminish beyond to "just liking the show."

Not to mention everyone at my LGS I try to get into playing Warhammer instantly loses intrest one the learn they have to build and glue models, once they learn that tidbit, they always tell me "fuck that, I'm not doing all that work to play a game". Vast majority of both males and females especially younger people don't want to do that.

No matter what GW does with WH just like model trains, fishing, woodworking, it will always be seen as in the niche "dad hobby"

https://youtube.com/watch?v=0WVZlQW_pb8Man hating virgin childless dyke discourse miniatures form 5E D&D community already trying to push the narrative DEI and ESGs a conspiracy theory. Dungeons and dragons community on YouTube at a whole are damage controlling GW.
The fact that people are shitting on "her" and the like/dislike ratio for the video isn't skewed towards the likes gives me hope.

They should have hired Matt Mercer then, and created a version of Tabletop 40K where you don't buy models or actually play the game. You just sit around a table dressed as Space Marines and do bad (actually scripted) improv. Also, they want to follow D&D to where it is now? They are aware the person who was in charge of it just had to resign, right?

Actually, they had a more casual newbie friendly game:

However, they cancelled it, had Fantasy Flight bring it back as a LCG, and then cancelled it again.

I had the chaos and tyranid precons of this TCG. As much as I liked the art on the cards, I wasn’t too keen on the gameplay mechanics. I did like that it was a way for 12 year old me to get into 40k while my dad bought my dudes over time.

Just got a Chaos Lord in Terminator Armor along with an Abbadon that I am going to convert into a helmeted version like the one in this photograph below:

abbadonhelm.png

It's always a good day for me when I get a new Terminator delivered in the mail. They are my favorite things to assemble and paint.

my five original guys are becoming pretty much entirely finished and looking a lot better after the varnish but I did overdo it a bit with this specific brand of matte varnish, I am switching to Vallejo matte varnish exclusively since this "Army Painter" MV is way too cloudy. Decided on very simple bases to get used to drybrushing rocks again. Sorry for my shitty camera

nearlycomplete.png

Even got some death company guys that I decided to paint in the same red-and-gold scheme. I did not like the box art color scheme on them. The visible wings on ALL of these blood angels are probably going to be painted "white marble" soon, since I am learning how to paint that right now and it's a fixture on many blood angels wings. Looks classy when done well too. Light strokes of blue coming forward from the blue hues chilling in the recessess...it's gonna be tough but I am excited. These guys don't have any of that on them yet.

I just have one WIP that is nearly done, the rest are just base coated for now with various details picked out.

dco.png

learning quite a lot after working on these and the two black legion painted chaos legionaries + chosen kits I also nearly finished this month and have sitting ready to do the silver metallic edge highlights on. Learning many "don'ts" to the painting hobby, in rapid succession. lmao

Nothing "completely ruined" yet, though.

Problem is, Evangelicals were the face of American conservatism in the 1980s, so when those people persecuted the DnD nerds, said nerds defected to the Left. That, and Warhammer 40K was basically made as a leftist protest against Thatcher and conservatives ruling England, with the writers seeing them in the same vein as Nazis. So yes, tabletop and DnD have a leftist infestation that dates back decades. Half of it comes from authors who despise the Right, who wrote the stories for IPs like Warhammer 40K as a leftist protest against right-wing political victories, and the other half comes from right-wing Evangelicals acting like idiots and driving the DnD community into the arms of the Left.

Problem is, a lot of older right-wingers also buy into the ''violent video games cause kids to kill people'' line. Even more so than the Left did. Trump's evangelical base is full of boomers who see gamers as slackers and who want video games thrown out and blame video games as their first instinct every time there's a school shooting. The Left will put in ugly women and make your games pozzed as fuck, but they will still let you have video games. The Right would sooner toss them all into the fire and tell you to get back to work.

The Warhammer show will fail simply because of one, cursed thing and it’s not Amazon and their faggoty love of Seth Rogen types, no, the downfall of that show comes from over the ocean, from an even worse company. It’s an evil that has killed at least two men and ruined upwards of four careers.

It’s called the Superman Curse and Cavill is still the current bearer (though that’ll change), anything that man is in turns to garbage, I’m sure he’s great to talk to and I really hope he’s not a monster but the curse is strong with him.

Anyone who has put on that cape has been typecast, suffered career-death, had insane bad luck and misfortune and in the case of two, death, one a very unpleasant drawn out death.

Every project since MoS has been a disaster for Cavill and Warhammer will be no exception. I just hope he shakes the curse and never goes horseback riding.

If we want to start bringing up misogyny, how about that time the GK slaughtered a bunch of SoB so they could use their blood as sacred anti-Chaos armor paint? I think it rivaled the infamous baby carrier as the most hated part of that codex.

Even in an entire codex of hated shit, it stood out to the fans.

Head on back to Gab and you'll find shitheads on the right making the same mistake as the ones of old.

I've said it before, and I will doubtless say it a thousand more times, but one of the biggest reasons the left got to run absolutely roughshod over the media as a whole was because of crusty shitheads on the right deeming them fucking unimportant and/or blaming them for all of the world's problems. Dumbfucks like Matt Walsh abandoned them to their fates, denigrated their hobbies, argued their interest in said hobbies was evil, and had the balls to whine about how the left captured them, and are still doing that shit now, decades later, with absolutely no fucking self-awareness.

Which of course brings us to the elephant in the room, which is that these hobbies and franchises were perfectly healthy for years despite leftie dominance in the industry, with many even going through their own golden ages during the 1990s and 2000s. None of that would have happened if the left had been exclusively negative at the time; the problem comes in when you realize that the rot seeping through every industry now is entirely a product of the new left, fostered by agitators and effectively equally religious as the dipshit moral majority crowd I used to openly ridicule in my youth. And while a lot of people on the right would argue that the left is inherently this way, there's a reason that this got so far before anyone was able to rally a response in the old guard left.

The core weakness of the left is that its propensity for tolerance allows bad actors past. When these bad actors intentionally go full subversive - as they certainly have in the last decade or so - they are experts on abusing those core weaknesses. They act as the quintessential low-trust person in a high-trust society, intentionally seeking power via any path, no matter how vile. In online leftist communities, they achieved dominance extremely quickly by essentially gaining de facto control of community leadership positions and then conducting purges of everyone who wouldn't go along. This happened so fast that most communities were dick-deep in the problem patch before they even suspected anything was fucking amiss. They've grown like a fucking canker, spreading out with the only goal being propagation of their bullshit at any price.

The good news is that this is the biggest area the left and right have common ground. We both have avid reason to hate our extremist counterparts and we know full well that left to their own devices they'll fuck everything up for all of us, given half a chance.

The thing is, when it comes to 40k, Horseshoe theory is in full effect. The failure of the God Emperors turbo atheist crusade was self evident by the simple fact that the human soul cries out for belief. More importantly, the metaphysical reality of the soul is real and has manifestation. The flaw in the Emperors plan was his belief he could strip humanity of its divinity. the punishment for his hubris was to become that very divinity in tortured perpetuity. not unlike Christ if we get down to it. the idea of a God willing to suffer for his people is a uniquely Christian idea. the fact Jesus was willing to be tortured and killed is the primary reason why Muslims refuse to accept Christ as God rather then just another martyred prophet.

Much of the setting is "satire" of the Catholic and Majesterial Protestant doctrines. but actual sub structure of the setting is grounded so firmly in Christian theology that it cannot be divorced without causing massive damage. hell, in the last editions release trailer you literally had a Sister of Battle saying that "Suffering is our Prayer".

No doubt this may have been written by a commie in a tee hee so stupid ironic sort of way, but it's actually not ironic. Nor is the idea that there is a immaterial realm of chaos just beyond the veil of human perception that is seeking to destroy humanity. This is true in 40k, and is also true in Christian doctrine.

I'm going to be interested in seeing how this Custodes drama progresses, but the fact that there is already art coming out depicting the change as the machinations of literally Satan, this may be quite a spectacular battle in the ongoing culture war.

Because while D&D may have been a haven for awkward and autistic leftists, 40k was a haven for awkward and autistic Roman Catholics and Dissafected Majestiarial protestants who really liked the idea of uncompromising knights errants fighting chaos and a Church that didn't happily invite heresy into its sacred places to score diversity points.
