Fem Custodes are an ignorable change; one can easily ignore the lore blurb of there being female Custodes and pretend they're all still men, since 40K lore has no canon and it's all up to the interpretation of the fans themselves. But price hikes, killing off whole armies, selling to scalpers who inflate the price tag, that's affecting people in real life, and I'm baffled that the Fem-Custodes thing is the one problem they're all focusing on. It really proves that the online right is infested with grifters who ignore the real problems facing wargaming hobbyists today.

It's not really ignorable though. As a statement it's stronger than the literal statement they made in support of BLM. That was part of their website, this is part of their billion dollar strong IP. And the big issues with 40k is the prices and the watering down of the setting, the second which falling into woke fake representation shit is directly part of.
It is ignorable because the canon policy of Warhammer is that there is no canon. Huge parts of the lore could be tainted by propaganda or unreliable narrators. For all you know that incident with the female Custodes was just a prank by the male Custodes in dressing up a Sister of Battle as one of their own. However, price-gouging and attacking fan animators is something that affects real life more than any lore change that can be ignored or written off as nonsense. That shit affects real people, and the fact that the grifters ignore it shows they're only covering 40K to get some cheap attention.

The other 4chan leak from a few weeks ago suggested they want to move towards a WoTC MTG style business model, where people are pushed to collected 4-5 2k point armies instead of one 10k force. That you'd start with a Combat Patrol and add to that, and constantly buy a few models every refresh, instead of creating an army you like and keeping it all edition or beyond. Basically they hate the fact that people collect an army and that's it, they instead want people chasing metas and the like and playing armies of the week instead.
