I like space boats, but Glorianas were a mistake.i like space boats
i liked them in battlefleet gothic armada 2. it was cool seeing macragge's honour, vengefull spirit, and phalanxI like space boats, but Glorianas were a mistake.
I see them the same was as Primarchs (or as the plague of centrepiece named characters in general) - they distort the setting and tend to make everything gay and about them whenever they appear.i liked them in battlefleet gothic armada 2. it was cool seeing macragge's honour, vengefull spirit, and phalanx
i see the logic of that, i'll have to disagree since glorianas like eternal crusader, invincible reason, macragge's honour and lex talonis were in the setting before bobby G returned, and they were not a centerpiece of the settingI see them the same was as Primarchs (or as the plague of centrepiece named characters in general) - they distort the setting and tend to make everything gay and about them whenever they appear.
That's fair - the closest that we come to that is the Planet Killer, Abaddon's Death Star at home, which isn't actually a Gloriana but is still a much-larger-than-usual battleship that served as the centrepiece of the Gothic War/12th Black Crusade. That said, I very much expect everything to go that way if they do revive Battlefleet Gothic, especially if they move it to the Heresy setting like the rest of the specialist games, where Glorianas are even more prevalent. They're only relatively niche at the moment because GW pays very minimal attention to the space side of things at all.i see the logic of that, i'll have to disagree since glorianas like eternal crusader, invincible reason, macragge's honour and lex talonis were in the setting before bobby G returned, and they were not a centerpiece of the setting
i've heard that gw will remake battlefleet gothic in hh for a long time. i wouldn't get my hopes high for that. as a side note gw should revive epic since it was cool systemThat's fair - the closest that we come to that is the Planet Killer, Abaddon's Death Star at home, which isn't actually a Gloriana but is still a much-larger-than-usual battleship that served as the centrepiece of the Gothic War/12th Black Crusade. The BFG in HH rumours wax and wane over time, but they're currently on the rise. At least there's NetEpic if GW's LI doesn't do it for you.i've heard that gw will remake battlefleet gothic in hh for a long time. i wouldn't get my hopes high for that. as a side note gw should revive epic since it was cool system
They did for HH… not sure how it’s doing sales wise. I keep telling myself to pick some up second hand but then look at my pile of grey plastic and decide not to.i've heard that gw will remake battlefleet gothic in hh for a long time. i wouldn't get my hopes high for that. as a side note gw should revive epic since it was cool system
Buy Vallejo. Better quality, better bottles and most importantly quite a bit cheaper. In the year 2024 there is simply no excuse for continuing to fuel the Citadel paints scam any further. Your FLG most likely already carries better, more vibrant and cheaper alternatives and you are just holding, tugging onto that foetid security blanket that is the citadel paint system, it's time to let go.

I second this. Whenever P3 Paints gets it's logistics sorted out with the recent Steamforged Games acquisition, I would recommend their stuff too as it's just as good IMHO, comes in bigger pots and was cheaper (we'll see if it stays the same when they start shipping again).Buy Vallejo. It's not nearly the same thing, but if you look around and have access to a printer, Soulforge made a display-scale Sword-class frigate (alongside a Supernova for Marines, but that isn't as good). It's 32cm in length (about 1:5000 scale) and a fun project. I think they were working on an even larger display-scale cruiser when they suddenly decided that they'd had enough of dealing with the 40k community, so that's unfortunately not going to be available.I will never forgive GW for destroying battle fleet gothic I don't care how much you're going to charge I want a full detailed imperial super dreadnought battleship.
I don't care if it takes up at least 60 inches of the table and weighs like 25 lbs
Reminds me a bit of Star Wars Armada where everyone clamored for the dumb supersized SW ships and eventually they released the SSD which was like 2ft long and cost a couple of hundred bucks.I will never forgive GW for destroying battle fleet gothic I don't care how much you're going to charge I want a full detailed imperial super dreadnought battleship.

I’ve never purchased anything from citadel’s lines of paints except devlan mud wash and only because it was the only good wash in the lineup. The stuff they replaced it with is garbage much like nuln oil. You have to be a big consoomer to try to justify their paints. In the year 2024 there is simply no excuse for continuing to fuel the Citadel paints scam any further. It’s cheaper and doesn’t need as much water to thin down on top of being easier to use with airbrushes. I like army painter’s speed paints as well and they’re way better than citadel’s contrast paints.Buy Vallejo. Better quality, better bottles and most importantly quite a bit cheaper.
