Krieger look good with blue. It’s not without merit either. A light blue keeps in line with the WW1 roots that inspired the Krieg design.

For example you have Austrian troops wearing all blue

I think the more impressive paint schemes I’ve seen of Krieg has to be the WW1 German paint style

I tv troped it but basically the whole point is that bile is trying to create an entirely new race based on the space marine template (not exact but similar, only half as strong) that can have chicks and dudes capable of reproducing. I think he succeeded at the end and is trying to build them up to be an independent force to take over the galaxy separate from chaos.

It's basically the one way they can make female Marines. Although logically they would be completely separate from the space or chaos marines and would normally be considered an enemy faction. Would be interesting to see what they do with it.

Funny how when ADB or Mike Brooks fucks up it's usually just lame & gay (emphasis on usually), but when Abnett fucks up he royally fucks up. The Cabal, Erda, the Ultramarines direct-to-video film.

I didn't really see anything wrong with the ultramarines movie. It was good for what it was.

I'm really looking forward to it. The snippets were they show a taste of Titus in the deathwatch are great. Shame we'll likely never get a game covering that era though. That was actually the original sequel idea before thq went under
 
Synthwave schemes are to me the definition of "karma farming" schemes, you post them to farm karma because its an "obscure" aesthetic with hardcore fans and the techniques look complicated to people who dont know how to paint.
The color schemes and texture some of the specialized or brighter paints that end up being used usually dont even end up looking that great in actual tables, they always need carefully curated and matching lighting to make them pop out, it looks noticably less unique and more jarring when people match it up to 99% of what terrain is offered

I won't be surprised if they get their shit kicked in by someone for disturbing the status quo. My money's on the Iron Hands doing the deed.

Synthwave lends itself well to games like infinity but definitely not 40K.

Oh I’m not saying those miserable fucks don’t deserve it, I just want “chapter entirely made up of Darth Vaders but more depressed” to kill the worst crap from a trilogy that ruined one my favorite characters.

They Emperored Fabius in that trilogy and made him a Redditor, equal-opportunity, enlightened feminist. The guy who was one of the first unabashedly evil, corrupted sadistic marines, who didn’t even need the Chaos nudge to be a his best self…… questions the Emperor not making woman marines.

Josh Reynolds is one of the most annoying GW writers because he completely ruined the end of warhammer fantasy with the end times it was the most anticlimactic book series ever all of the good guys just die terribly.
All of these cool characters should they have heroic last stands where they literally bleed the enemy dry now they all die horribly and chaos just stomps everyone's face and why didn't they do that earlier because no one wrote archaeon Mary Sue the ever chosen.
He's not even a very interesting character he's the most bland protagonist of the end times ever

Is that not the literal most 'Warhammer' thing ever, though? It's a nasty, dark, grimy setting dripping with gothic sensibilities. It makes perfect sense to me that that's how these characters would go out - that it wouldn't be glorious, it'd be brutal and ignominious.

It sounds to me like you want it to be heroic high fantasy, which is... Honestly kinda gay.

That's just your average weekend in 40k. But there's only so many ways that one can be horrifically killed before it stops being entertaining.

I want Archie on the ever chosen not to be the Mary Sue of the setting also the Catalan Dragons yeah they just die horribly from the skaven why are they even siding with chaos anyways destroying the universe really doesn't seem to be something they really wanna do whatsoever.

This homosexual riding a horse he's better than all the other previous incarnations of chaos undivided why for reasons does he come up with other clever ways of attacking the human settlements no just the same but it wins for some reason.

I think you're a little confused as to what constitutes a Mary Sue, honestly. Archaon, by definition, can't be a Mary Sue, because he's the literal ultimate villain of the franchise, the threat against which the fate of the entire setting hangs. That's the point. You might as well complain that Sauron is a Mary Sue.

Honestly, I feel like the Internet has kind of poisoned nerds' brains when it comes to story tropes, because they learned a load of terms on Fanfiction.net in their early teens and then consistently misapplied them to every single bit of media they consumed afterwards.

I think we should address that a large part of non-metallic metal's appeal is that it's a flex. It's 'look what I can do'. I have seen incidents of it looking cool, but not SO cool that you couldn't slap on some Gunmetal Grey or whatever, and call it a day and get a result that wouldn't be perfectly satisfactory.
 
answer the more interviews I watch with avnet the more I realized he had no idea what he was actually doing with the whole cabal idea and kinda just threw it in there at the last minute and it's been kinda just running with the stupid idea for the better part of a decade now.
Also no one thinks warhammer is a critique of fascism if it's a critique of fascism then D&D is a critique of liberal democracy or something

I dunno, Slannesh Synthwave or Harlequin Synthwave or even maybe Imperial or Chaos Knights Synthwave might work. For Harlequin I'd do synthwave with iridescent paints just to max the effect. I'm not sold on say, Custodes Synthwave or Imperial Fist successor Synthwave.

Nid Synthwave? Not Synthwave specific but "here's a dangerous toxic frog colorscheme for your nids" could work.
