So they made a game with Tyranids as the villain and it doesn't have horde mode from the start? Just why (yeah I know, money) but why though.
Originally, the game wasn’t even going to launch with a PvP mode.

If I had to guess, they decided to delay development on the horde mode so they could put in the time to develop a PvP mode to draw in more normies that refuse to buy any game unless it has some kind of PvP option.

Oh I’m not saying those miserable fucks don’t deserve it, I just want “chapter entirely made up of Darth Vaders but more depressed” to kill the worst crap from a trilogy that ruined one my favorite characters.

They Emperored Fabius in that trilogy and made him a Redditor, equal-opportunity, enlightened feminist. The guy who was one of the first unabashedly evil, corrupted sadistic marines, who didn’t even need the Chaos nudge to be a his best self…… questions the Emperor not making woman marines.

GAY!

I think there's a couple decent reasons why he's changed. Part of it is him dying and wanting to make a lasting impact on the universe and I believe the other half is him genuinely getting tired of mindless suffering without purpose. Dude also questioned why the hell the emperor would create a superior space marine race that only exists to promote weak inferior beings.
Saber released the Space Marine 2 content roadmap:

No ultrawide support day one is *sigh*, but everything else seems great.
I may have to buy that season pass if that cross imagery is exclusive to it.

Space Marine II is gonna fucking suck. I abandoned hope after they fucked up Dawn Of War III and all the dogshit online focused games anyways.
The best they got was a faggy boomer shooter Boltgun and even that game is just uninspired. All of this shit is made to appeal to a quota rather than passion. I don't care how much it might tickle lore spergs. If the games are not fun they just aren't. Maybe I spoiled my expectations for modern Warhammer games by playing the older ones first. Or maybe they just hire dogshit developers who can't even finish their games before they release which gives rise to the "live service" and expansion jewery.

Oh yeah INB4 they don't even finish the roadmap.

Finally finished the big one to my own satisfaction; wish I had more of an eye when assembling as there are a few craft holes and mis-aligned parts I could have fixed with green stuff; but it was a print and cost a fraction of the real thing, so no big loss:

Genuinely enjoyed this. Tried my hand at some stippling for the carapace sections, attempted to use less washes and more dry brushing, quite happy with the end product.

It might be great, some of the gameplay looks solid, I'm a sucker for the setting, and it has Tyranids in; that being said, no preorders is the rule, if the microtransactions are too much then pirating is the way. If it looks dogshit on release, might pick it up on sale a few years down the line.

Cracked white porcelain necrons with gold trim, gold filling cracks in the porcelain
Thoughts?

I'm wondering how to execute the cracks correctly, they will need to be extremely tiny and a bit more muted than the trim.
I was reading World Engine.

Also no one thinks warhammer is a critique of fascism if it's a critique of fascism then D&D is a critique of liberal democracy or something
Warhammer contains way too many systems of governance to be a critique of anything. It's more or less realpolitik applied at a galactic scale. Retards will read into their small corner of the lore what they will.

if I wasn't so paranoid I'd post my imperial guard .
I I do like the more blue look when it comes to nates gives them a nice contrast to the pinks and purples.
Also thought it also be really cool to paint them in a world eaters style of paint that would look good.
I don't see why nates couldn't fall to the blood guard

Are you trying to make it look like PVC like or more of a muted white look.
Sounds like a cool idea I personally paint some of my guard units in desert camo.
And yes I do own way too many tank models how will people know I'm representing the imperial guard if I don't have at least three different variants of every tank .

kintsugi necrons? Yeah good luck with that. If you want an idea of how it wouldn't work, the Ahsoka show had some kintsugi stormtroopers "night troopers" and they actually did look pretty good. The problem though is going to be the scale.

The random gold patches you could get away with pretty easily. But think about the scale of stuff like the cracks on the helmet scaled down to tabletop mini size. Then factor in that helmet has more surface area to work with than necrons do. This guy was barely able to pull it off, and actually on the table I doubt it'd be visible. And these guys actually have enough space on their armor to work with.

edit: I'm also pretty sure considering the visible layer lines, he's using these

Fuck, even Necromunda has a hive that's run democratically, to no end of seething from the nobles in the other hives.

If a white or very light grey crackle paint exists use that. Just base coat the necrons with your gold of choice and put the white paint over the top.

At that point just get some crackle paste(shit's like $10 for a huge tub of it) from the hobby store(michaels, joann, etc.) and tint it(a little acrylic paint will work fine). If you do the gold, then gloss coat it, then put the crackle paste on top it might work. The trouble generally is with crackle paste(and any of the GW basing stuff that's just the same shit but way overpriced for a spoonful of it for $7 or whatever) is that when you apply it thin, it develops a ton of really tiny cracks instead of larger ones. It'll also end up REALLY thick by comparison to normal paint. You'd basically be doing the same thing as those sandstone necron paintjobs at that point. Then after, varnish it again with matte/satin/whatever to try and keep the crackle paste from completely falling off.

There are Gunpla tools for making panel lines and other similar grooves, you could repurpose those for making cracks for kintsugi.

They're apparently called "Panel Line Scribers".

Another option would be to use a needle in a pin vise as a home made scriber.

just buy the source here: https://skullforgestudios.gumroad.com/l/qhcjc
then find someone to print it or use one of their licensed printers.
I wasn't saying to buy anything, I was pointing out that the cracks were molded in detail due to being a 3d print. Guy wants to paint necrons, not stormtroopers.

The tamiya ones are way too thick, really only work in straight lines, the blades are kinda shit. It's honestly a bit weird a tamiya product is so mediocre. The need in a pin vise is probably the best way to go to be honest for what the guy wants to do. But I still maintain that the cracks are so fine that it just won't look like anything in tabletop scale. At least on my monitor the thubmnail for the night troopers is actually about right for the size of a mini, and the shit is barely visible. Trying to do that on skeletons?

point was more source > overpriced etsy shit.

So, I finally gotten around to pirating Hammer & Bolter, an while ago. And as hilarious as it is to see an Nurgling torture an Death Guard termie, most of their episodes were shit.

I haven't seen them all but I liked the one with the imperial guard messenger fighting nids and the vindicare assassin.

There's a new anthology series called the tithes.

First episode continued the story of the salamander from that Nexus series. It was pretty good. He teams up with an ultramarine and they have a neat conflict of chapter personalities before kicking ass.

second one looks like it's following some poor dopes fighting or being sacrificed to nids.

Edit: oh ok it's the sisters of silence.
