The nexus has actually had a few mods for this game, one of them lets you use any weapons on any classes.
Probably fun to do with friends, no idea if they would ever be able to detect this and ban you (since EAC is so easy to disable), doesn't let Bulwark have a primary or Heavy a melee weapon though.

Bulwark with hammer should've been standard.

All good suggestions, but surely the Jews of space are Snotlings and Gretchin?

Huge noses, meek, cowardly and despised where ever they go. Known for being sneaky and devious, physically repulsive and greedy, covetous and shady.

Space marines are literal racially pure aryan supermen, dedicated to a living embodiment of God
Historically, this is the very the antithesis of Jews.

Also, Orks all talk with gruff cockney accents. The East end of London is heavily populated with Jews.

It makes perfect sense that meathead cockney football hooligans would press the local yids into service as scuttling servants and occasionally food.
Or how about Necrons considering they're a bunch of crochety, constantly bickering old fucks who think everything belongs to them even as they can't move past their grudges and blood feuds that have outlasted suns.

Idea for a 40k game:

Make it like battefront but with 40k factions. I would kill to play as a guardsman and then the heroes would be "insert space marine" and you just wreck shit. Same with the other factions. Honestly im surprised they havent even considered the idea.
Hell Let Loose can have like 50-100 people in a server at any given time. Maybe give that a 40K reskin, at least as a prototype?
Much easier said than done, but I think given the sheer scale of 40k, 50-100 players wouldn't do a game like that justice.
Don't make it like Battlefront. Make it like PlanetSide 2. That's how you do a 40k game that would make people shit bricks:

PlanetSide 2 is free, but I'd genuinely fork over a lot of cash to have a 40k clone in the same vein as it. The setting's built for it.

That's what Eternal Crusade was meant to be.
Didn't end so well.

Planetside 2 is such a mismanaged game that survives only because there are zero competitors.

After the Imurah boss fight. The game is tough but never too bullshit, though I wish it didn't force you to force fights with mismatched equipment, a sniper rifle would have made it way more tolerable. The other two characters are growing on me, it's some weird ass buddy cop dynamic.

Also didn't know some of the primaris were frozen from 10000 years in the past.

I am getting particularly fucking sick of shitters joining operations on the two higher difficulties when they are at levels below 10. They don't have the perks, weapons or know-how needed to take on massive waves and bosses. Sticking together doesn't seem to be a thing people understand either.

I see people have already beat me to the punch, but the failure of Eternal Crusade would deserve a write up in its own right. Between the devs biting off more than they could chew with the whole concept and then lying about what would be in the game, the horrendous balancing of certain weapons for certain factions, Eldar in general, then effectively announcing maintenance mode before the game released, it was a shitshow that had amazing potential.

I got Space Marine 2 for free from AMD when I bought a new video card thanks to their current bundle promotion. Check it out if you are thinking of buying a new CPU, video card, or laptop.

The developers are doing a YouTube series called Titus Talks where Clive Standen gives an overview of Warhammer lore. Episode 1 is out:

What keydinds are people using for Space Marine 2
Keybinds? I remapped parry from C to mouse 4 (thumb button) and that made using parry in combat feel a lot more comfortable. I haven't changed any other controls yet, but I am not that far into the campaign so far.

Yeah sometimes you get the wrong weapon. The primaris frozen for 10.000 years was explored with one Ultramarine than GW forgot about it. Saber remembered and added it in as a twist. They really added a lot of careful details. The culture shock part could make for a good dynamic with a regular marine and a popsickle one.

Also, slavs? Well I guess its not too wild considering Balkans deep lore and how every race there is from atlantis or outer space lol.

Okay finished it. Pretty funny that the Tyranids are way harder than CSM, so after they get taken care of the difficulty massively drops since CSM are way less aggressive and you can easily snipe/rush them before they become an issue (playing the first operation mission, they are a lot easier when you can beeline to their elites and comfortably kill it and everything around it, kind of a fun mechanic that sadly way harder to pull off on hard difficulty). I was hoping to fight some Necrons but sadly no, and the enemy variety is pretty lacking as a result.

The plot is pretty much non-existent and no question is really answered, with the ending being a sequel/DLC hook. Still was fun being bros with other SM and nothing DEI seemed to appear though maybe there's some bullshit hidden in an audio log.

Also I wonder if anyone would make a meme about Acheran giving you only three guys no matter how important the task

He worships the resilience of the end result of an trio of marines getting shit done; guy's clearly slated to become an Plague Marine

A curious case, while browsing the Dragon Age thread I found out that a hungarian right wing intellectual targeting magazine has a video games section. This was wild to find it in a newspaper that usually goes into long winded geopolitical debates.

The article is just gushing over 40k, as the local fans don't know about the whole woke shit. They are still in Ian Watson mode, and as general the fandom did not get the whole "Space marines don't worship the same imperial creed" thing at all. It just somehow remained contained to the anglosphere. Maybe the editors just thought that "That's retarded, Space Marines worship the Godemperor" and edited it out wholesale. They are known to take liberties with dubs and bad writing, with not bad results.

I still don't understand the autism and poor writing behind the ending of Space marine 2. Tidus yet again proves himself to be as faithful of a war hero as he can be with even the chapter master personally recommending him for the next mission, yet this Leandros fucker just has it out for him to the point where he joined the inquisition just to A-log him.

He wasn't even a heretic in the first game either. Its like the space marine version of #metoo where Tidus just gets arrested and has his life turned upside down on the simple word of Leandros, a subordinate rookie who has far less combat experience. Not any actual evidence. Nevermind Tidus's actions over the course of the game basically stopped the orcs and chaos legions cold in their tracks.

Why is there no option to just blast his brains out on the spot or at least punch him in the face with the blessing of the chapter master?
Basically, the Imperium is ran by paranoia and it's implied that it's not rare for an Inquistor to be an fucking lunatic with no sense of self-preservation.

With the newest Chaplain, I see him being appointed as one an mix of being an concession so that he wouldn't chimp out and as an contingency just in case if Titus actually was poisoned by the glowie research projects.

And speaking of Space Marine 2, "The Codex Astartes does not support this action" is fucking hilarious if you've read the incredibly mediocre "Of Honour and Iron" where an fucking assault marine and a pair of inceptors made an jump from the upper atmosphere
