Bricky is just weird because he is likeable but he saddled down with libtards and in this space its a monkey paw. Sure you will get a surge in views but you will never truly be respected. Hell he has family who own a gaming store but he just does not commit to editing or putting together content. Arch, the rolling r's is fucking insufferable and it reeks of him never being told by someone in his immediate circle that its insufferably faggy. Valrak, honestly if he stopped click baiting and gaming the system would be somewhat decent but he needs a wrangler and not a yes man. It is also his word usage too, it's very low and he repeats himself a lot but is honestly the least insufferable.

It's why I like the painters, they just paint and try to do challenges. I was inspired and want to do some nids in Giger style and I am learning air brushing in my free time so the content is really interesting. I do get envious though, there are some insanely creative people out there.

While we're on the topic of Warhammer YouTubers, has Hobby Night been discussed yet?

I've been meaning to talk about this woman, because she's been on my radar for a while, but honestly, I just find her kind of quietly tragic.
She seems like a nice lady and her painting tutorials are actually pretty good, but they're completely ruined by her trying to act like some kind of sex kitten, prancing about in skimpy cosplay, when she is way too old and no where near pretty enough to pull it off. Perhaps the most embarrassing video is this short where she's clad in a bikini, showing us how to properly shake up spray cans, and her cellulite-riddled arse and cottage cheese thighs wobble all over the place very unflatteringly.

I feel like someone, many years ago, did her an incredible disservice by telling her she was very attractive and nobody's had the heart to tell her otherwise since then. I mean, to be fair to her, she would probably be the hottest girl at her local game store, but we're all familiar, I'm sure, with that popular phrase about small ponds and big fish. I know she does OnlyFans, and apparently, a lot of what she posts is her boyfriend's idea, which is doubly sad, because it basically means he's pimping her out for the Internet and living off of her labour like a fucking parasite, and she's too retarded and 'sex-posi' to see it.

I dunno, man, I can only speak for myself, but isn't this all just a little embarrassing? Like, even for the men that watch her channel? Is anybody titillated by this solid 4 absolutely embarrassing herself like this? And isn't it a bit fucking insulting that someone would think so little of your average Warhammer player that they'd put stuff like this up on the Internet and just assume that you, sex-starved fucking neckbeard permavirgin that you are, would eat it right up?

Ditch the boyfriend and put some fucking clothes on, Angela. You're better than this. Not by much, but you are better than this.

Having seen all the muscle mommy jokes having seen the weird female space marine art and stories on Dakka Dakka I can assure you there’s people who jerk off over her and think it’s quality content because 1) girl and 2) girl but is into Warhammer.

"There are no good guys in 40k"

-Brother Infanticidus Molestarii, Puppy Kickers of Khorne chapter
Probably the most annoying part about leftists. You can largely justify any factions actions, but brain dead leftists who are unable to separate their politics from anything and have an insane need to make everything around them adjusted to their world view cannot conceptualize that say the Imperium is largely justified in its “fascism” to keep humanity alive. “All art is political” is the bane of simply enjoyment for these people. Just like the grifters need to complain about 40k going woke.

Oh it's much sillier than that. She's got a pair of OF accounts as well. hobbyafterdark and hobbyafterdarkvip for the "premium" content with supposedly 800 paid members on the "VIP" account where you can find such quality content as
hobbynight.jpghobbynight2.jpg

And she's married btw. I guess they're just into that shit. But considering she worked at Games of Berkeley(as in, Berkeley, CA) before doing the youtube and OF shit, is it really that surprising?

edit: I guess I could add my thoughts on her channel. Her youtube channel isn't entirely awful but the thumbnails/"cosplay"/etc. are ridiculous and at the end of the day she's just a hobby thot that is a couple steps beyond a channel like Sword 'n' Steele without actually adding anything to the community. She doesn't grift regarding 40k(other than the coomerbait I guess), seems interested in gaming shit, but still a ho.

The only 40k youtubers I can watch are Luetin09, the Remembrancer, and DreadAnon.

Stopped watching MajorKill because I got sick of his lame attempts at being funny.

I can't watch painters knowing that they will always be better than I can ever hope to be (thanks in no small part to GW and Citadel sometimes footing the bill for them).

When my models are to my liking, I know.

Totally get that, and tbh that's the most important mindset to have. I went through a period where I started getting too invested in trying to imitate painters of skill levels I could never hope to achieve and almost quit the hobby entirely. Then I remembered fondly the first ork boy I ever painted with two thick coats and absolutely no technique whatsoever, and how fuckin' proud I was of him when I got it done. So yeah, now I just paint to make myself happy. I will say though that a lot of minipainting 'skill' is really just learning the concept behind certain techniques and applying them (IE: look at or light your mini from a top-down perspective to get an idea of where the shadows should fall).

And yeah, I don't really like watching people paint either. I follow a few just because they're just out of this world good and it gives me inspiration, but they're mostly the ones that do creative modeling. David Soper/Sproket has won multiple Golden Demons/Slayer Swords, and he's probably my favorite painter. Was the one that turned me on to painting Nurgle in the first place. The piece he did for Golden Demon '22 was absolutely phenomenal. Worked on it for a few years and it's comprised of about 8 different kits, with a considerable amount of greenstuff. Richard Gray is also pretty stellar, but I quit following him because he paywalls most of his work on Patreon.

I have this thread watched but it won't send me notifications, damn I keep missing shit...

Luetin is non-combatant and doesn't get into the drama faggotry (at most he's one of those "nothing is canon" faggots), I never got around to watching the Remembrancer but he's pretty funny just by going off of his appearances on AstartesAnonymous. Even if he's very serious in his videos he gets points from me for that. DreadAnon...man I remember when he was first doing VA, I even saw him on a 4chin thread once or twice. His content is getting...safer and a bit stale, that's YouTube for you baby. His Skaven voices are still good. I don't mean to shill for AstartesAnonymous but they're a good way for finding entertaining content creators when they bring them on as guest.
Sword 'n' Steele
Seen her before but not much, seems like a decent content creator who actually enjoys what they're doing.
I got featured on some Skaven and Tzeentch stuff
Which ones? Must be pretty good.

hell no lol. just an underworlds warband i painted with a quickness, and a tzeentch magister i'm too embarrassed to share (i legit have no idea why they featured it)
Hey those are pretty neat, I appreciate your humbleness but stop being humble for a moment and post the Tzeentch Magister.

Didnt they try that already and game pretty tanked hard.
It tanked because they tried to make it cross platform before Sony and Microsoft accepted that as a thing. I'm pretty sure sony bitched and moaned until fortnite made it the norm but by then it was too late.
>bulwark shields are impenetrable and you cant shoot at the legs or head either, even when exposed
>vanguard can reverse-roadhog you across the map and their hook destroys Heavy shields instantly
>assault niggers dont make as much noise as they should, so theyre basically silent until theyre on top of you
>invisible snipers with SMGs

Lord forgive our sins, I pray every day for a balance patch
Perfectly balanced. Even more so when you use flash bangs to counter all of the above.
All fun and games until you get that bug where an enemy tries to run off screen and isn't targetable and combat is stuck because the game somehow recognized them as still being in combat and you cant kill them.
I was able to get out of that using area effect attacks on them.

Rogue trader is excellent and I hope the dlc is good and successful. Sucks there isn't much class roleplay but otherwise the choices between being moral and being imperial is legit interesting. Chaos can kiss my ass.

Also on the subject of a potential 40k horror game. Something in the vain of eternal darkness would be absolutely incredible. Playing a traitor marine before he falls to chaos. picking which demon he falls in league with and them playing various poor bastards throughout history fighting him and his warband would be great. You could have a sister of battle main protagonist that views visions of the other characters.

I've never painted an ork before but I got the kommandos kill team set because they look cool. What's a good primer for green skin?

I'd agree that black is probably the best choice if you've never worked on Orks before. IIRC the Citadel standard for Orks is black primer, a basecoat of WAAAGH! Flesh, a layer of Warboss Green, and highlights in Skarsnik Green. If you want something that resembles the box art skin tones you'll probably want a lighter primer though. I'd say the newer, lighter skinned Orks the 'eavy Metal team is putting out are over a white primer, but I don't like working with it. Personally if I do spray, I use Zandri Dust for Orks, but generally I hand prime mine in Ogryn Camo. Gives me a tone that's somewhere in between the older darker Ork colors and the newer yellowish ones.

Eh Bricky and Wes arw libtarded but my tourist label is because their lore is surface level and half memes. It is just not technically correct.

Like, the Krieg DUY Chimera emergency replacement transport was a modified tractor, not the Rhino or Baneblade.

They are still way better than Majorkill who I think is the most safe edgy yuk yuk brainrot goyslop. But if CWC read the 40k wikis out loud he would be better than Majorkill.

Baldemort and King on Yellow guy are the best, and both seem to stay away from any politics.

I was playing only war with some of my guys and one of the guys during the session decided that these rebels are just being mistreated by the governor and the governor's a prick surprisingly there was enough degrees of success that it worked.

Then the general ordered us to execute the governor but the interrogator went a bit nuts so we ended up creating an extremely theatrical uh execution it was tons of fun.

A friend of mine gifted me some candy and shark troops I'm gonna paint them up this weekend

DreadAnon is the best 40K YouTube

I see the nickel and dime model is GW's favorite sales tactic.

I hope tau players enjoy paying £145.00 for a single unit of 10 vespid I genuinely do because I know you won't wait for the individual box to come out. But in all honesty this is supposed to the entry point for 40K but it's even more expensive then the 40K starter set but somehow even less value for money. I'm pretty sure this is almost double the price of the first kill team starter set they released a few years ago. Well done GW you've released another winner.
