Did they make an Agents of the Inquisition army yet? I would think that merging Sisters and Daemonhunters would be ok considering their associated Ordos' targets overlap more often than not.

A new armybook collection came out for Inquisition, Assassins, Sisters, Skitarii and Mechanicus.

Not sure if it is out yet or not.

So more news! The strange alien allies of the Imperium are the Necrons, under the leadership of Trazyn the infinite, who appears to be taking an odd interest in Cadia, heavily dropping hints that he has some connection to the pylons, so much so that he's began emptying his tesseract vaults of Imperial heroes, and setting them free on the world to battle chaos, the female inquisitor in the image I posted before, named inquisitor Greyfax, is one such hero, finding herself in a new Imperium, fitting herself in with the zealous Black Templars, but disgusted for one by the fact that the Imperium has allowed Trazyn to assist them, being a filthy xeno, and two that they are worshipping Saint Celestine, the living Saint keeping the black legion at bay.

They don't have a name yet but i like to wait for my mobs and characters to earn one, so far they've only had a spirited but ultimately doomed stand against a Genestealer Cult army which probably won me the game (they were protecting a pair of superkannon big trakks which got two more turns of firing for their sacrifice).

Those are nice orks. The bases and accessories are especially well done.

I know it's only tangentially related and there might be a better thread to ask, but is Bolt Action still gaining traction? People still playing it? If I wanna get into miniatures games but don't wanna pay 40k for a decent army is it a good introduction to the genre?

They could, but a LOT of factions would need to be gone.
-Ministorum and as such, their priests.
-Sisters of Battle.
-Grey Knights.
-Inquisition.

Plus

-Some Astartes chapters, like the Black Templars.
-Half of the Guard and the Navy.
-Maybe some Admech.

I think it would cut into their sales, but we all know GW is dumb, I mean, they did it with Fantasy. They may roll all custodes/Gk/other marines into Spessh Marynes, with armour made out of Emperorium and rename Earth as Emperoron or Emperorworld.

Oh god, the names they will make up just for maximum copyright

They might as well just stop using the English language altogether(because Blizzard uses it) and make a up a language that they copyright, then charge $50 for a intro booklet on basic sentence structure, $35 for a paperback dictionary

Ironically they have yet to get rid of the one name they we all know they stole for sure: The Eldar(taken from JRR Tolkien's shit)

It depends on your location really, if you're close to Pasadena, then you should be good for almost all the major games

otherwise, its all 40k and once in a while, Warmahordes

btw, if you don't want to pay 40k for a 40k army, Chinese recasts are you friends

Recasts or ebay. Depends on just how pretty you want your army to look and how much you want to customise it.

Yo, any of you guys board game as well as tabletop?

I got Relic, a 40k reskin of the Talisman system and it seems like great fun for everyone involved. Next time we game it's getting brought out.

So how about that fall of cadia gathering storm stuff?

So I figure this is the closest to the appropriate place to ask. Anyone know if there are any miniatures in either this or the AOS line that with some kitbashing could serve as Pro Elves? Looking to get back into tabletop blood bowl but my team of choice isn't likely to get a release for ages, although they are tournament legal still.

I would need 8 lineelfs, 2 blitzers (guys who punch people really well), 4 catchers (self explanitory), 1 thrower (Quarterback essentially), and a really fancy looking elf to stand in if I ever induce a star player.

The general aestethic is this:

Normally I'd just go 3rd party (both better quality and cheaper), but they're doing a big GW prize supported tournament thing with Blood Bowl that seemingly every game shop is using, so I can't find anywhere that at the moment would let you use non GW stuff.

Buy a box of dark elder whyces and Kabalite Warriors. They are already well posed and will make a good looking team.

Have you checked eBay?

Have you checked eBay?

Old Edition BB miniatures are fucking insanely priced. These have been discontinued for decades, and Pro Elf was one of the rarer teams at that. A single pro elf blitzer is like $20. I've found complete teams starting at $80, but that's starting bid not Buy It Now. Buy It Now is in the $2-300 range. Which is reasonable for an army but a blood bowl team is 16 miniatures tops. The Dark Eldar conversion method sounds far more reasonable, a box each of 10 of the fuckers (so 20 models) for $60.

Probably cheaper then to just do some bit shopping on eBay.

Yaya I can post 40k shit at you guys again! I'm scratch building my Ultramar PDF Command Squad featuring:
IMAG0160.jpg

My drummer girl. (Standing in for the Medic in the standard box.)
IMAG0164.jpg

My Standard bearer. I'm not entirely happy with his head though. Dry fit him with Blu Tac for the benefit of this picture if anyone wonders what the blue bulges are.

My Vox Caster will have a set of Bagpipes from Victoria Miniatures which is where the drummer girl came from. Not sure exactly what I want to do with my heavy weapon carrier but I have a few ideas and as for my officer I need to custom build him as he needs to match my personal fluff for the PDF.
Also don't know if I posted these before (and can't be bothered to check) I found some vintage metal IG:
