Quixk PSA for anybody interested in getting some of the Dark Coil stories in paperback. I just preordered The Dark Coil: Damnation for about 25AUSD on Amazon. It's a 650 page anthology of Peter Fehervari bangers releasing on the 25th.

Contents as described online:

The Greater Evil (Short Story): A chilling exploration of morality and deception.

Fire Caste (Novel): The Tau face existential threats and dark truths in a harrowing campaign.

Out Caste (Short Story): The journey of a Tau cast out from their kind and into peril.

A Sanctuary of Wyrms (Short Story): A haunting tale of transformation and dread.

Altar of Maws (Short Story): The horrors of Chaos manifest in the most visceral ways.

Vanguard (Short Story): The desperate fight for survival on the front lines.

Fire and Ice (Short Story): A gripping confrontation of ideologies and survival.

Cast a Hungry Shadow (Short Story): An eerie tale of ambition and betrayal.

Cult of the Spiral Dawn (Novel): A shrine world ruled by an enigmatic cult guards a secret that could change everything.

We eating good tonight horror fans!

You know, it was kinda funny how I once shared what Graham McNeil said about The Last Church, where he tells on his blog that his intention is that the Emperor is right, but hes an asshole about it. People said I was "missing the point"

Funny how your average 40K "fan" will talk about media literacy and just ignore the author's words when they disagree.

The "Farsight" on it may be his best fiction incarnation, specially on just how tired he is of the bullshit. He miss the old times when all you needed was to fight an honest enemy like the orks

Is there a way to contain and capture Lucius? Like hypothetically could you keep him in chains forever? Or could he starve to death and or kill himself and still get someone?

I generally assume plot device, chaos fuckery, and any author will easily manage to overcome whatever creative idea you have to contain Lucius (and turn you into him)

Kill him and then kill yourself before he could possess you?

Let a Necron or Tyranid kill him?

Have a blank kill him?

The only time I can recall him being scared of anything is when one chaplain was close to killing him and he realized he didn't feel joy in killing. So I guess the best bet is to get servitors and a man of iron somehow.

Edit: Wait... He likes drugs right? What if you just made him a stoner all the time?

There's what the author intended and what the author wrote. He was successful in making the Emperor an asshole about it, but he also fails to present an honest case for religion. It's not the worst, but it often feels like it ignores some of the deeper questions that really matter about the nature of humanity, who or what is God, our purpose in the world, what is morality, etc. Some of these questions we see Lorgar touch on like how could the Emperor not be a God with his other worldly power?

Sure, but the problem is that the dudes were saying I missed "the point", the point was stated by the author, if McNeil is too ignorant of religion, thats a him problem.

Really, all the arguments are dismissed by Aquinas. The Emperor is an absolute autocrath who does not explain himself, but demands everyone to follow him. Thats the definition of faith by Aquinas.

Faith doesnt need to be on supernatural, or even something "ilogical", if you take a vaccine without knowing why it works, its faith, you put faith on what the others said despite having no knowledge on the facts.

Lucius has literal plot armor. Indirectly killing him doesn't work.

He asked Fabius in a novel if he is proud of his drugs, and that they better not lead him to OD.

A totally emotionless blank that commits seppuku would be the best bet.

But even after that, Eliphas got back so... there is no reason why Slaanesh wouldn't just respawn him.

A Necrons has already killed Lucius and even he was taken over. I don't know if we ever confirmed whether or not the host body needs to be alive for Lucius to take, or if the curse still transfers counts if you kill the killer before he takes over.

My plan is kill Lucius, if possible with a Callidus assassin. If not, use a Callidus assassin to kill the astartes who killed Lucius. Kidnap some poor guy and have the assassin disguised as his wife/kid. Force him to murder the assassin in the most dramatic way possible to leave almost zero chance the end of the chain feels any kind of pride.

All involved would need to know nothing about the wider scheme. If any of them feel any kind of accomplishment Lucius will take one of them. Make the whole plan appear to be a heretical abuse of power so that they would kill all involved.

My only issue is I don't know how far the curse carries over. Does taking pride in the murder of someone you didn't know was cursed by Lucius still count?

I feel like the proper solution to all this is to have Fabius Bile kill him. Worst case scenario, nothing changes and Bile just goes back into one of his clones. Best case scenario, his non-belief keeps him safe from the curse. And I feel like Bile would want him dead and have the means to do it far more than most.

This long running Luciusposting autism is why I come to Kuh-weekee Four-umz dot com. Reminds me of playground talk about which superhero was cooler. Thanks lads, very cool!

The new Krieg sculpts are gonna be dropping for order soon it looks like:

And it looks like GW has gone full retard and let knights in Combat Patrol. This surely wont be a disaster for their most
internally detested game system.

You cannot kill Lucius, so you might as well elaborate some trap. Fabius won't kill him, the most likely thing is he'll clone more of him.

I vaguely recall some random worker proud of his job was taken over by him for being proud of his work that ended up ultimately ended him out of chance
slaanesh doesn't really give a shit about the "rules" of the curse. it'll find a way to keep itself amused. if that means bending the rules then it'll go right ahead and do that just to fuck with the universe
