I'm going through Mechanicum now, and while I certainly have been enjoying it, I just can't seem to retain any of it. Everything has been going in one ear and out the other, and it's not a case of being too distracted to pay attention. Idk. Just not sticking with me the way some of the other stuff I've read has. I might end up having to just read the text myself on this one or just write it off as "good but forgettable" and move on.
A friend said the same thing about the audiobook. So you may be onto something.

Finished Mechanicum. I won't say it's forgettable anymore, because everything around the Mars Dragon and yet more of Big E's retarded 75d chess game was super interesting. Everything outside of that? Fuckin whatever, but it feels to me like the Dragon stuff and more Imperial Lies was the main point anyway.
Was "machine, heal thyself" ever a meme? Feels like something that would have been memed on.

I'm happy to say that only one book has been a disappointmen so far.. And it was so bad I regret wasting my time on it(Descent of Angels). Which is a shame because I like the DA.

Or give Mike Brooke some credit when he's not inserting his own personal political obsession with Sargon of a card. He can. write a pretty decent novel, so of the forest was pretty interesting. I still don't like the lion's new forest walkability because it's literally just using gate of Infinity from the only war books.

Also, can they get someone else to wear 8 sisters a battle? Seriously, every single sister of battle book is literally by the numbers. Sisters of battle end up somewhere. They fight demons. The end. like literally.

I did like pilgrims of fire, though. it was generally a fun book, especially the fact that it shows a Moy light side of even the moment we psychotic things the Imperium does like the Penitent. engines.

The Celestini book was actually quite enjoyable. I liked it showing her journey through the afterlife Every time she asked the resurrect herself, even though it is a blatant Rip off of the. Ideas from the. Egyptian pharaohs. It was well put together, though.

I kind of want them to do a Legion of the damned book, but I kind of feel like it's better off not explained Kind of Ruins the magic of the Legion of the damned.

Long shot is actually a really good book and I'd recommend it. It's a one off book about a sniper Sergeant in the Shock
troopers.
And it really does capture the complete brutality of Imperial War. And them getting stuck in mud, fighting through broken cities.

It also completely destroys the myth that the greater good is equality for all because a bunch of the refugees are living in squalor. Why the uppercass live in a fortified part of the city with all luxuries?

Morvenn Vahl: Spear of Faith

On to be honest, it was somewhat interesting book, but the whole this. night Lloyd, who's obsessed with getting back the A skull of his sister is kinda boring.

Also, you're telling me the lady who literally helped the death of saints modus several hundred sisters of battle is not going to be hunted by the Inquisitions Ordo Hereticus. Yeah, she's just going to slip back into Philia 7.

I genuinely wish they would do a another imperial knight series. Seriously, how hard is it to create a band of Knights?
You could create a bunch of over the top characters you could have the lovable man servant following his nightmaster round.

Should check out the Daemonfuge graphic novel then. Sure, it starts with Stern fighting the Slaanesh daemons that killed her order, but then it changes to have her trying to avoid the Inquisition after they're led to believe she's possessed.

I still remember accidentally reading that Horus during the Siege of Terra was actually more drugged out and insane than John McAfee and not only dying laughing but cancelling my order for the books immediately.

Actually the funniest shit ever, the war to end all wars is going down and Horus is wandering his quarters naked and senile, with Argonis as his tard wrangler.

Then the big reveal is a literal, “I was faking being retarded.”
after reading the first siege of terra book and being extremely disappointed I asked my friend if the others were as bad or if it got good. He said do you like tarot card readings? because they are in there. I don't know what he meant by that, but I have not touched a single nuheresy novel since. I don't want to know what the fuck happens with tarot cards and what the fuck that has to do with the siege of terra.

I hope heresy 3.0 solves issues around shooting at and allocating wounds targeted at Vehicles. I'm sick of taking squads of tanks and just having them being unable to split up AND having to allocate wounds the way they're currently allocated. You get entire squads of 5 Vehicles raped in 1 turn so no one ever takes a full 5 strong tank squad people just stick to 2. I also want to see breachers, destroyers, seekers, veterans and scouts actually become useful in heresy because at the moment they just suck donkey dick and do nothing. I'm going to throw my models in the trash if they get rid of classic style unit profiles, universal special rules and Vehicle profiles remaining different to unit profiles.

what is everyone's thoughts on all the units being released in the new heresy box. I want to hear every heresy chads thoughts on the new box and I'd like to know what you'll be doing with your box. I think I said I wanted to start an iron warrior's army, but I've had more time to think and I'm now going to go for a loyalist world eaters army lead by a librarian.

I like the new MKII marines, happy to have the coolest mark finally in plastic can't wait to add them to my armies. The saturnine terminators are cool but i don't like the eagle on the chest so i will be shaving those off. we'll see their profile and then I'll draw my finale conclusion. the 2 praetors are boring as expected with a starter set might be interesting to kit bash. the static defense gun looks meh and will probably be meh. static defenses just don't work in warhammer. maybe best-case scenario we get a new attack defend style game mode where static defenses come into play. the new dread looks okay, we'll see its rules and we'll see what it looks like next to a Levithan but at the moment Levithan is cooler. The disintegrator rifles look cool. Cool weapon, looking forward to vaporizing niggers with it.

He literally meant characters doing tarot card readings, fairly regularly with the emperor's tarot. They do it so much so that it becomes a major plot point, and eventually...

If you ever watched If The Emperor Had a Text To Speech Device, a couple of times you may remember that they basically played yugioh? Yeah, I'm not exagerrating when I say that The Emperor and Horus decided it was time to d-d-d-duel(and it's easily half of the battle). There's some decent books throughout the Horus Heresy series, but the Siege of Terra even though it's far fewer books is generally kind of shit.

Paperback of that impossible to find but I'm reading the sequel and it seems solid so far. Shes living on the wrong side of the galaxy, completely unaware of major events

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

you have no idea how hard it is to do this shit without opposable thumbs.webp

nidbros, how do you do it

When will these freaks stop ruining the hobby making everything about their fucking fetish
Never, because that is their fetish. They feed on suffering and corruption. It's unironically why they are all pedophiles. The only kind of sexual gratification they can achieve is in the corruption of something good. It was never about Warhammer or Video Games. It comes from a place of feeling rejected and lost and wanting some kind of revenge against society. They want you humiliated. If everyone moved on from Warhammer to something else they would follow like a cancer so they could kill it too.

On the topic of the Night Lord's trilogy I assume this refers to Soul Hunter, Blood Reaver, and Void Stalker? They aren't explicitly labeled a trilogy but that's what comes up when I Google it.
