I mean looks cool, but rock posing…

Damn I’m conflicted do I really want to jump into GW’s latest kill team after I swore I’d never buy again?

Looks like Warp Talons are out and Batboy is in. Objectively an improvement but the old kit beat it in leftover spikes to pilfer for Chaos conversions from all the unused warp talon parts and those awesome headsculpts.

Also, whichever mandate/designer keeps putting paws on lightning claws needs to die. Same with the dipshit behind the new possessed and batboy who decided they needed to be half-naked and not fused with their wargear, or hell, using the old crazy Raptor legs.

Are dynamic rock poses just too much of a headache? Looks neat. Is height an on-table consideration?
Height on table probably isn't a big concern so much as it is balance of the mini(having to put weights in bases is fucking annoying), as well as the size of the contact area to the base(or terrain bits, since you can't leave it so small it just snaps if the mini does get bumped) for minis, combined with years of people bitching about jetpack models being on flight stands so when GW stopped using flight stands you get a bunch of guys that look like they're tripping over rocks.

The new raptors look sick as fuck. The basing also isnt bad at all. Feels like if you so chose you could use flight stands and some creativity and make the bases really come alive. Then again, doing anything creative seems sacrilegious these days.

Just kinda sucks that we got 2 nightlord KTs in a row instead of any other legion. Iron warriors or word bearers wouldve been really cool, especially since IW was in the latest HH stuff, wouldve been a nice synergy. Ah well.

I think this is just the paint scheme, outside bat boy they’re pretty neutral in aesthetics. I will say, the kit is held back by being dual-purpose as a unit update and a KT, leader specialist blends into the boys a bit. Though looks considerably better than the awful jump lord update.

They should’ve used this guy as inspiration for the squad leader. It’s not like these guys are the straight edge(lords) the secondaries think the NL are. Batboy’s headsculpt seems to be an update of one of the old possessed heads.

It’s clear this was the inspiration for the kit.

Opinion on poorhammer? They sound like GW shills.
They're not bad, although the host has done a few progshit potshots. "SOME people don't like the idea of Female Space Marines but we don't talk about the people no longer allowed in the hobby" type shit. But it's pretty few and far between and they mostly they stay on topic and don't get into anything controversial. I enjoy listening to them while on my hikes.

First reviews of the DOW remaster are saying it's the bare minimum - 64-bit and upscaled textures and that's about it. Guess it all depends on if the modders are able to do everything they want.
E: At least it only costs 27 burger/22 bong.

Tips on what happens with the old 'retired' Kill Teams?

Ive been eyeing Novitiates because I just know the rebox for 40k is gonna scam me somehow

Is that surprising though? Based off all the advertising I thought that was.
Besides, does anyone really want the same people who gave us DoW3 to mess with DoW in any substantial way?

It probably won't include the tokens for the KT, and the "retired" teams just become not tournament legal... not that anyone has any major tournaments even scheduled for after they'll be hitting the first year to retire teams anyway(even though those same events have other games scheduled for tournaments). If you're not flying across the country for major KT tournaments(which as I just said aren't even happening), no one at your local store will likely give a shit.

If it's not just the exact same game chucked into some ai nvidia upscaler then stuff like the unification mod could benefit from the capabilities DoW modernized could offer. I say this not being a DoW player and base this solely on the mandalore video about it, as the mod chokes with the larger units and general mayhem

Fulgrim stalking Jaghatai would be funny as hell, 40k needs a Doctor Doom-level psychotic stalker, endlessly threatening and scheming over a slight made thousands of years ago.

“What? My good counterpart and my rival are both dead?! Damn, okay boys let’s go fuck up the Orient. Find me Eidolon, he loves chogorians.”
After finishing up Mark of Calth I gotta say the Word Bearers/UM stuff is far more interesting there as far as grudges go. Only dwarves or the Ultramarines would keep a clock ticking upwards for 10,000 years and counting to remind them of how long its been since they were betrayed.

Unless you mean something tiny and petty as opposed to what those two guys did to each other, in which case Fulgrim being assmad for 10,000 years is perfect. I fully expect him to hold an eternal grudge over that whole "I hear you do strange things to your warriors" comeback the Khan had.
