VULKAN LIVES - Please bring him back, the only Primarch who is a proper G, you know what I mean
I would put my bet that Vulkan is the next returning Primarch. He'll come back with a new model range of toys for the Imperium that he invented while he was gone. They were featured in the new Horus Heresy box set, they'll probably get a 40k box set like EC did. Maybe Vulkan will come back and bitch slap Fulgrim.

And I took that personally

Vulkan would be a good new rival for Fulgrim, the Istvaan connection, Ferrus and Vulkan were bros, the whole dragon vs the serpent theme is a strong evolution of the Phoenix vs the Gorgon. Plus the black primarch (I know he’s not African black) being the rival to the whitest one is pretty funny. Also it would make the yearly face off with my Salamander friend even more fun.
We’re getting fluffy as hell with our armies and it’s gonna make next year ‘s even more fun. Special snowflake EC vs hand-crafted and personalized Salamanders.

This is actually how Fulgrim views his men.

I would like them to give world eaters and emperor's children more then 3 units before they move on to some dumb shit like a loyalist range wave. Though the blood angel in me would like some new assault termies.
Youre likely 12-24 months away from a second wave EC. WE who knows, older range, they should have more.

Sonic Dreads might come sooner (and I would insta buy 3) but im pretty confident they released wave 1, wait and see how they sell, then start designing new models (which is a 1-3 year process iirc). The army is currently in an 'ok' state so if it sold poorly they could have stopped there.

GW chainswords are also basically non functional due to the width of the armor covers they put on the bar that you'd never see on a real chainsaw. The teeth aren't wide enough to make up for the extra width so you'd get an inch deep and then end up having to force it through as if it were a 2x4.
See what I mean by the panels on it(not my image)?

Notice how the chain and teeth are actually wider than the bar
Tbf, models are exaggerated for dramatic effect and ease of paint. Plus just about everyone talks about how impractical it is.

Sure... but the art, animations, video game models, and almost every example of them still wouldn't work. It's not just impractical it's useless. Hence just being silly nonsense within the universe. Just like so many black library authors wanting to describe a space marine as being imposing by describing them as "over 2 meters tall", while failing to realize they're just describing them as NBA players.

I hate to tell you this, but loyalist space marines are the main characters of the setting and if they go 3 months without getting new models, space marine players will immediately begin throwing tantrums claiming that they're being ignored.

When your white friend wants to shoot hoops with you but twists the shit out his ankle mid-game

You guys have any wishlist models?

For Deldar, I'm hoping if/when they get Asdrubael Vect its a huge party boat with a high transport and firing deck, and when it gets destroyed he can hop out like Sir Hekhtur, maybe with the ability to immediately attach himself to any other units also hoping out, or maybe his own personal guard.
Mostly I want a big sharp boat though
I genuinely just want a re-release of the Forge World Chaos Dwarf line. I don't want some ugly black woman with a shaved head and a trademarkable name, I want my Legion of Azgorth.

It'll be higher. Releasing a new product can be an excuse to raise a price higher than an existing comparable product and avoid calling it a price hike. But then this is going out in emails, looks like they opted to delay a price hike from spring to fall and make sure they caught the holiday sales with it.

Oh perfect raise prices even more. I love how a box of terminators today costs as much as a land raider did a few years ago. that 4% is going to turn into 10-12% really quickly

I'm mostly hoping they'll re-release Kaptain Badrukk model.

It was bound to happen. GW likes their 40% margin and it's not as if GW hasn't been raising prices for the past 30 years like any other company would. Besides, if we check the UK inflation rate from 2024 to July 2025 it's... 3.8%.
But just because we can check this. 2006 land raider MSRP, 30 pounds. Current MSRP 57 pounds. 2006 price after inflation 52.15 pounds
Terminators, box of 5, 2006 MSRP 20 pounds. Current MSRP, 42.50. 2006 price after inflation 34.77.

Clearly the terminators is more egregious, of course it's also an updated kit with a token(6th tiny model), and way more going on with those newer sculpts. But it's bound to happen after 20 years. Any miniature game company will have jacked their prices up. We're also talking about a company that basically uses how well space marines sell to subsidize less popular factions getting new models as hell, hence liking that 40% operating margin.

Shit, there's white and asian NBA players taller than 6'6". That's not even a rare height unless everyone in the future is a midget. If it were "2 and a half meters" or something it'd be a bit more meaningful.

I can't remember where I read this so take it with a grain of salt but I'm pretty sure the average human in 40K is only around 5ft tall.

But they already brought back 2 Primarchs and just… haven’t done anything with them. Outside of Dark Imperium novels Guilliman is just excel spreadsheeting the Imperium.

I agree but I don't think GW sees it that way. GW does not have any interest in resolving plotlines they start, or they believe there is always time in the future for Black Library authors to expand on it. I think they see it as Primarch releases and range updates sell boxes and build hype. I don't know if they would do it for 11th edition or not but to me it seems like if anyone is next in line for a comeback it's Vulkan.

This always makes me laugh. 2 meters is only like 6'5 so they aren't even being described as large as NBA players.

If I dont get a kill team of Death Company blood angels with a sick new chaplain Im going to fucking riot. Assault terminators, frankly GW should just lean hard as fuck into upgrade sprues. Ive got no idea why they've decided to genericify their marines and also make the upgrade sprues fucking garbo. Also, why no chaos upgrade sprues? Iron Warriors, Alpha Legion, and Word Bearers would all really benefit from it.
