I don't even use Morale phase. Space Muhreens "shall know no fear", and orks and tyranids don't have any concept of it.I can feel the monkey paw curling as I think back to some of the older morale and coherency rules.

In my mind its the lightest of touches. From a MilSim perspective it makes more sense to put squad efficiency to the Sgt or other NCO equivalent, with the “Heroes,” being the commissioned officer officer equivalent and being more focused on coordinating the entire force and with other elements including base.
So maybe killing the unit Sgt causes unit disruption, while killing heroes causes units to act off default behavior or losing access to command points and stratagems.
But that’s if you want to go the MilSim route, which GW would never have the balls to do. They can’t even give us a proper morale system despite how important it is IRL. Can’t have Timmy’s ultramarines running off the table or Sarah’s Nids temporarily not under her control.
Horus fell into Hairesy.Horus got a botched Turkish hair transplant and almost died. That's why he turned to chaos. The story about Horus getting shanked is just SoH cope to hide the truth.
The reason aspect warriors bear a uniform color pattern is to symbolize the union of their shrines with their aspect founders across different craftworlds. Despite this, early codices would offer variants to the main patterns, like red fire dragons or dark blue swooping hawks. This was back when lore mattered somewhat. Nowadays that gw doesn't give a flying fuck, do whatever, go crazy.Eldar people, are aspect warriors always the color that they are or are they informed from the craftworld they are from? I dont know shit about Eldar outside of the primary flavors.
I think the modern cartoony skull helmet style doesn't do them or most chaplains any favors.I fucking hate Reiver helmets, and idk why. Basically the same thing as the Chaplain's Death Mask but it just grates on me. Maybe it's the fluff reason for them that bugs me.
They're supposedly for intimidation purposes but like, fucking why? Space Marines are so physically imposing that just seeing one coming at you is enough to make you shit yourself. How much more scared of a thing can you be than "I've lost control of my bowels and my fight or flight response has chosen freeze" before just dying of fright? What enemy could you possibly fight that wouldn't be afraid of you with a normal helmet, but then get routed because you wore a skeleton face?
I don't like it because Chaplains exist and have skull helms.I fucking hate Reiver helmets, and idk why. Basically the same thing as the Chaplain's Death Mask but it just grates on me. Maybe it's the fluff reason for them that bugs me.
The best depiction of a Chaplain, both physically and character-wise is easily Leandros.I think the modern cartoony skull helmet style doesn't do them or most chaplains any favors.
I feel like we're mostly there already. Attached leaders often have such powerful abilities that it feels pointless to take a unit without one. I feel like the reason we don't see more precision is that attached leaders are often difficult to actually kill. It's hard enough to get line of sight to a target, but even a captain has an invuln save that makes your shot a coin flip at best. With the points you invest into a sniper unit, that are really only good at killing a single model, you could take something else that offers more value. In my mind its the lightest of touches.
Strategems can only be used on units with an attached leader.
Units without attached leaders are mildly 'weaker' so cheap scoring units have a trade off.
Precision actually has a purpose.
Big leaders stay the same but captains and the like might see more play. Yeah you can drop some units in my backfield but if you strand them without leadership, they will not be able to fight as effectively.
They wont do it but it would mix up list building a little for sure.
Leandros is just wearing the primaris chaplain get up. just without the cartoony style. The best depiction of a Chaplain, both physically and character-wise is easily Leandros.

Because not only does he look great, the skull face is actual bone (something forgotten in bad paintjobs) and yeah, Chaplains are terrifying, they’re one of Lorgar’s contributions, they should be. They are HR, Internal Affairs, Confessional and War Priest in one. Asmodai is the funniest chaplain and the only acceptable Dark Angel, because he swapped out the homosexual build for the based retard build.
The Reivers on the other hand look fucking stupid, like all the Primaris abortions in the “variant” armors.
>physically imposingI fucking hate Reiver helmets, and idk why. Basically the same thing as the Chaplain's Death Mask but it just grates on me. Maybe it's the fluff reason for them that bugs me.

Lmao couldnt help myselfOh fuck off with space marine height retardation already
I didn't read the full Rafen series, but the one book where the Blood Angels and many successors have to deal with an outsider fucking with their geneseed was great.Lmao couldnt help myself
In other news I finished Darkness in the Blood. (Spoilers-ish ahead) It was pretty good. Mephiston going from ultra special THAT GUY to ultra super MEGA special THAT GUY is kind of funny. Dante being an old fuck is also funny. Id like to see more of what happens with the admiral/flag lieutenant characters more in the future, but Im starting kind of from the beginning because Ive fallen in love with the Blood Angels. Just bought the Rafen omnibus for 20$, it includes
The Fury, Deus Encarmine, Blood Debt, Deus Sanguinius, Redeemed, Red Fury, Black Tide, Bloodline and Reflection in Blood. Pretty good haul for 20$.
I still see a shocking amount of "fuck Leandros". As if all of the shit that happens to Titus isn't sketchy. How's Leandros supposed to know that he's dealing with the Gary Stu MC?The best depiction of a Chaplain, both physically and character-wise is easily Leandros
Because Titus was a named ultramarine captain. But even as a lieutenant that's still more than enough plot armor. How's Leandros supposed to know that he's dealing with the Gary Stu MC?
>totally skips reporting titus to a chaplain or the chapter master or another captain and snitches to the fucking inquisitionI still see a shocking amount of "fuck Leandros". they added in the power axe and made like 80% of its animations reverse-grip and you're constantly tossing it in the air mid swing and it looks fucking retarded.
