dunno about best but I've ordered from Dark Miniatures before, plastic they use doesnt really work well with plastic cement and it took a few months to deliver, but the models were fine, and exceptionally cheaper.
 
I have started the conversion for Dominion Zephon into a Moritat for my Iron Hands. The irony of this is that the Assault Squad I should have finished before I made a big pile of shame sucked the soul out of me.
If any of you have a suggestion for what I should replace the knee area on the right leg that would be great, I'm thinking of doing a bunch of wires, but I feel that may also be a bit lazy.

I’m not going to post them here since GW trolls the internet to find recasters that they can DMCA. If you’re curious, DM me and I’ll give you my go to list.

Just sand down the Bangle logo imo. It’s a bit too showy for a moritat imo, as would anything you can feasibly replace it with. But I also like my Moritats and destroyers plain

I am fond of Black Market miniatures. They have a neat program where if you have an out of print model and ship it to them, they will recast it, send you the orginal back then credit you the listed price of the recast. I sent them quite a few models from my eternal backlog with success. Also they are the best quality I have seen in the recast market.

That was my plan for the most part, Zephon has far too many Destroyer symbols to not be used as a Moritat, and the bionics are just the icing on the cake. Might finagle a IH off of a pauldron and place it there, I'll find a way somehow.

Arch is the only one with a chip on his shoulder to do this kind of thing as much as he downplays it, hes been pissed ever since GW had to step in and cut off all forms of income he used to get from random game devs who thought he was just another Warhammer channel. Hes the same way agasint Trench Crusade whenever the owners of the IP go out of their way to target him he has his discord go around to find evidence for videos he makes. Also im not sure this Andy guy was fired from what I seen apparently the Warhammer community editor doesnt like Andy and doesnt like the fact hes on the amazon project? Kind of odd but it seems Andy might be the guy who pushes agasint the woke shit while the editor of Warcomm will wink wink nudge nudge certain tidbits to piss off chuds like the Black Templar drama he caused.

I do like to think that GW is internaly split between people who care about the franchise and subhuman activists.
 
Terrain is going well. ...ish.

Made some basic fences and a makeshift wooden walkway, all out of lolly sticks and skewers. I made a few mistakes. I made the walkway too wide (easily fixed) and the fences look a bit big. If I were to do it again I'd go with stirring sticks instead of lolly sticks, but lolly sticks are what I have. I might do a more ramshackle/battle damaged fences.

Thinking of downloading some posters/signs/ads. Google brings up a bunch, mostly guard themed. And the Splatoon art book has some generic alien signs (most can be found if you search Splatoon graffiti, or check here https://splatoon.nintendo.com/base/en/gallery/graffiti/ ). I've not really checked World War 2, Fallout, or minimalist movie posters yet but I know they're a good source. If anyone has any specific recommendations, let me know.

Took a stab at Iron Hands, what do you guys think? I’m going for something like the way FW used to do them while also making a look (black) that is different than BL and RG. Also the bases are just Fallout 3-themed. These boys aren’t finished yet, that pooling on the holster is grinding my gears.

Could be the light but I think whatever youre using for black and whatever youre using for your silver might not have enough contrast. I am a fan of vallejo metallic black.

I think I’m gonna light re-drybrush the silver, the hands mainly and the livery.

The batch of Nuln oil I made for this is thicker and brownish, so I think it slightly bronzed the darker silvers, which is cool, didn’t know it’d do that.
