I think I’m gonna light re-drybrush the silver, the hands mainly and the livery.

The batch of Nuln oil I made for this is thicker and brownish, so I think it slightly bronzed the darker silvers, which is cool, didn’t know it’d do that.
Bringing up the silver will bring down the rest to get the black areas to read darker, but also some really bright specular highlights for the silver(some corners, partial edges, not edge highlighting everything) can help that as well.

His last video got brought up but it looks like GW are trying to buckle down and ride out the storm. I’m sure the reason tom deleted his posts was because higher ups commanded him to do so to avoid the oncoming drama. That being said, I want these fuckers out of my hobby and therefore out of the company. Here’s a link to arch’s second video, even if you don’t like him he does give email addresses that would be good to send to.

Fuck off.

Both sides in the faggy exchange are annoying and gay, Arch especially with his fake voice and his habit of crying victim after asking for it.

I fully agree with this, but take it to the tabletop community watch thread please.

Took a stab at Iron Hands, what do you guys think? I’m going for something like the way FW used to do them while also making a look (black) that is different than BL and RG. Also the bases are just Fallout 3-themed. These boys aren’t finished yet, that pooling on the holster is grinding my gears.
Sorry for the double. But I just noticed. Is the power pack glowing from the inside? That's a neat detail I've not seen done before.

Yeah, it’s the old light blue edge highlight paint that GW used to make. I did it on a whim to break up the sea of black.

Primaris are weird, I hate these fucking bubble knees that suck for transfers but they are loaded with flat surfaces to detail everywhere else. Like the flat circle on the power pack, shins and even the chest if you scrape off the Aquila. The Mechanicus transfer sheet is gonna get some more use in making these guys look more complex than they are.

Resin upgrades fit like a charm on my guys and this little chaos guy is coming along well. No bubbles from what I could tell I washed them pretty thoroughly. I'm conflicted on how to color his head and I'm not touching his sword until I get a little range of paint to make a nice force sword effect if anyone's done force swords I'd love to see them and hear how you did it.

New krieg and harlequinn combat patrols. Krieg I wasnt expecting, but it makes sense since buying into Krieg is fucking miserable right now. Its still 60$ for a 10 man unit of basic infantry, so this should help a lot. Includes a lot of models, too. Cavalry, heavy weaponry, a command squad, infantry, all good shit. The Quinn combat patrol kind of fucking floored me. Tbh I thought quinns were being abandoned altogether. Seems kind of... strange? I hope if theyre making a whole ass combat patrol then theyll maybe release some new models.

Edit: link to the thing Here

In theory the helmet should be the same blue as his armour, with the ridges on the headdress being golden

I don't have any pics unfortunately because my minis are currently a couple of thousand miles away, but the way I did mine was a mid-to-light blue base, then use a darker blue wash to paint random splotches on the blade, and then use a light grey or white to make jagged lightning-esque patterns coming from those.

was thinking gold on the helm then a nice bright silver and blue for the headdress with a ghostly green in the eyes. I don't fully understand P3 being primarily funded through kickstarter but I saw these pure metals they're working on and I need that silver and gold
ships out June 2026.

P3 being partially funded through kickstarter... a number of paint brands have done this(scale75, kimera, etc.) as it's a way to ensure a volume of sales for the initial batch. P3 paint has existed for years but due to Privateer Press fucking everything up(search the tabletop community thread about warmachine and privateer press, this is a company so fucking stupid they were on the verge of overtaking GW and then spent the next decade fucking everything up) the only way to get the funding to re-release the paint range was to do a kickstarter since steamforged wasn't keen on funding it themselves.

And yeah, I saw Vince's video and they look great, but not a chance in hell I'd put off painting something in the hope that a paint I'm interested in is maybe available in 9 months.

I think he said he liked the vallejo silver I can't recall. I need to get my hands on a good one before I fill in my army. I'm also determined to make that adrian smith painting a mini reality and I will need a good bright silver.
Saw someone recommend a lord terminos AoS model as a starting point for a kitbash and I think it can be done with that and an exalted sorc box.

Vallejo metal color(not model color, they've got too many damned paint ranged named the same) is probably what he was referring to, he also uses that range for his gold blend(along with GSW gold pigment powder, but the pigment powder isn't completely necessary). If you want a really sharp set of highlights on a good silver paint, get a molotow liquid chrome pen to do the specular highlights with after you've varnished(and then don't touch it because that liquid chrome takes a good 2 days to set properly) and you'll be able to see it as glints off of edges and points from a few feet away when the light hits it.

It is never not funny how well the Stormcast lend themselves to bring converted to CSM, they are so not heroic looking it’s hilarious.
