Some XX Legionaries do actually think Omegon is still alive. They're so fucking fractured they can't even agree on that lol. But yeah, I fully agree. It's just fun to speculate. The twins don't matter in the grand scheme of the Alpha Legion, and never really did. They're just cool characters on their own.
I do like the theory he’s still alive, reformed Alpha Legion as Minotaurs and now pretends to be Moloc

Seeing the same on my own STL Telegrams. Given that Grummz didn't know the difference between an orc and and ork the last time he covered 40k, I can't see him as a particularly authoritative source.
Yeah everything I've seen about it from people that would actually know better seems to indicate it was basically just the old moth trove torrent(which was around 175GB for the STL files) from the stl subreddit before it got nuked, with maybe some updates.

It also doesn't make sense that if it were actually from GW, why would it have been STLs and not cad/blender/whatever files that they'd actually be using for modeling? Plus, discussion of it and the contents would have been re-posted repeatedly in places that wouldn't actually take it down in under an hour(seriously, cults3d? They probably saw a weird spike in traffic, looked into what was popular, and killed it without any intervention from GW).

Apparently there was a massive STL leak of basically GW's entire range of official 3D files. Not sure.

Grummz has a tweet about it and there are some hobby drama channels talking about it but the Telegram STL groups I'm in say it was more of a /tg/ style megatorrent of every "best" proxy of each miniature.
If this includes the long out of print Resin Forgeworld models like the Lucius pattern Warhound titans or unreleased designs this could be a real big windfall for the recast market. Here's hoping.

If you want 30k, start with the main three (Horus Rising, False Gods, Galaxy in Flames). If you want 40k, well... I guess we can say that every WH baby's first book is the Night Lords trilogy (Soul Hunter, Blood Reaver, Void Stalker) and the Infinite and the Divine. If you want Word Bearers, Anthony Reynold's books are fun (in a Word Bearer kind-of-way); Dan Abnett's Eisenhorn (about an Inquisitor, reads more like a crime novel than WH); Sandy Mitchell's Ciaphas Cain is also fun; Graham McNeills Iron Warriors; James Swallow's Blood Angels (Rafen); Nick Kyme's Salamanders (Tome of Fire); you could also take a peek at Ben Counter's Soul Drinkers, Grey Knights and Ragnar books. Nate Crowley has Necrons (Twice Dead King) and orks (Ghazgkhull). Guy Haley's Belisarius Cawl is good. If you want Mechanicus - Forges of Mars; Thousand Sons - Annandale's Ahriman. etc etc etc and of course, my beloved Last Chancers (a penal legion scum under the command of the bestest boi(s) in the entire universe, Colonel Schaeffer (and Kage))

And these are all (mostly) series. There are many more standalone books and shorts so you really have an option to pick and choose here, so I think it would be easier if you told us what interests you
No Gaunts Ghosts mention?

The "leak" on cults wasn't the full GW catalog and it wasn't high quality scans, it was a large drop of scans of various quality, many of them had been previously uploaded before too.

If you want a weird bit of trivia Kage's first initial as given on his identification tattoo is "N.", making him "N. Kage". Considering Schaeffer's name was taken from Predator back when The Last Chancers were supposed to be more like those guys and not penal troopers I'm sure you can guess what his full first name probably is.

Congrats, enjoy the horrifying image I have placed into your mind of what he looks and sounds like.
Dan Abnett's Eisenhorn (about an Inquisitor, reads more like a crime novel than WH)
The Ravenor series is also solid and gives a good look at some of the lesser-explored parts of 40k, like seedy hive underbellies and the fringes of explored space. Turns out once you get out past Imperial space where its all nice and relatively cozy things go from "somewhat safe" to "praying to the Emperor doesn't work beyond His light" pretty damn quickly.

Also has a Squat written during the time they were officially uh... Squatted, who is simultaneously endearing and infuriating.
The worst Black Library novel is still AT LEAST competently written.
The less said about C.S. Multilaser the better.

Another thought. If it were actually a leak from GW, wouldn't it be an amazing coincidence that it managed to have no un-revealed models in it? Especially since GW has been known to sit on some models for years at a time even(like those shitty primaris nerf gun desolators allegedly since 8th edition, or the rumor engine posts that haven't been revealed yet some of which are years old).

Yeah, I imagine there would have also been unreleased/wip sculpts too. But yes, the desolators where actually first designed in 8th to complement the hellblasters.

Does this harm GW? I'm trying to decide if it's a good thing or not

Considering it's a bunch of scans and models that were mostly already released years ago, and isn't even that many of them to begin with... no, it's not going to affect GW. There's a torrent still available with seeds that has way more included(it's been around for years now).

"Who is that?" He asked Pech.
"Who do you mean?" The First Captain replied suddenly.
"The brother speaking with Alpharius".
Pech looked at Herzog and shrugged, "Omegon" Pech said.
"Omegon.." Grammaticus echoed.
"Commander of the Stealth Squad" Herzog said. He and Pech laughed, as if at a private joke.

I lol everytime

Arbitor Ian is genuinely insufferable. He comes off as the stereotypical sneering bully. Someone that would've made fun of you for being interested in nerdy stuff in high school. Now that its more socially acceptable to be seen enjoying stuff like Warhammer, he's trying to force his way in and dictate who is and isn't acceptable in the community.

You see that in his Badab vids. Insufferable douche to the max.

PeteTheWargamer is another one I’m souring on, like the majority of his videos are either Raptors or “Alternate Heresy” conversions, fuck off with that secondary shit. Pete also shilled a shady ancestry company in a recent video.

So long as Minisodes and Minscape stay on brand I'll be happy to watch them both forever more.

What's even better is that he's a dysgenic retard, who probably got bullied in high school, and is now coping by trying to talk down to his audience. If its any consolation though he is divorced and never see's his kids though, for good reason.

new stealth suits and wolf scouts

I quite like the new stealth suits, compared to the old ones you can really tell how far miniature technology has progressed.
The fuck's a nigger doing in the Space Wolves? Did they start recruiting from modern-day Sweden or something?

I found my self liking the Era of Ruin anthology that released not too long ago. My favorite part was the baby Shiban saved getting adopted by two conscripts and going home with his adopted father. Also apparently Sisters of Silence read steamy romance novels to pass the time (and cope with their horrendous loneliness). ADB being forced to write that Custodes are explicitly a brotherhood was also a highlight.

Speaking of ADB, I think I know why his books bother me so much. He is a sound storyteller in theory, but all of his books are written with the perspective that the protagonists are always too cool for school and everyone else is an incorrigible moron. Now I believe ADB has claimed that he does this intentionally to show how the protagonists view themselves, but the issue is I never feel the books communicate that effectively. Maybe you could say he did do it with Night Lords, but everything else is just "my guys are cool and win, the other guys suck and they lose." If someone reads an ADB book blind, all they will get is a protagonist wankfest.

His short story in Era of Ruin really is no different. One of the Custodes (ADB writes custodes like teenagers for some reason) gathers the Talons and bursts into Gulliman's office and defeats him in a verbal argument over his reforms. Then the time-skip in the ending implies the Custodes was right about everything and that Gulliman let the Imperium stagnate.

ADB leans too much on external knowledge and materials as a crutch. He needs more counterpoint within his books. A contrasting charachter on equal footing with the protagonists would be nice for once.
