Funny enough, this isn't the first Kill Team box set to match up Space Wolves against Tau:

This was my first 40K purchase. I had no idea what I was doing. I browsed /tg/ for months reading the KT threads to try to understand and my first game at a local place I was tabled. Anyway all I remember from this was the guard plasma spam.

I've been slowly making my way through the HH books, just finished Unremembered Empire, and I'm a big fan of both Narek and his story. Hates his Legion for abandoning brotherhood and adopting backstabbing fervor, touches fulgurite, thinks that they were actually right all along about that whole "Emperor is a God" deal, proceeds to get really pissed and vows to murder Lorgar for his sins.

And then manages to kill a couple Possessed in close quarters combat with a fucking sniper rifle of all weapons before getting captured and resisting psychic interrogation from some very, very, very upset UM Librarians.
I always liked the idea that Sigismund sheltered Blackshields, Traitor Legion Loyalists and the castoffs and that’s how the Templars got their fuck off numbers.

Because Narek ending up in the chapter that’s just Word Bearers 2 would be fitting.

What if he plays a role in establishing the Imperial Cult and becomes the Anchorite later?

I wish. Fucking Erebus.

Would be a neat idea, but IIRC they established that the Anchorite was a Word Bearer who surrendered on Calth and got tossed in the clink by Guilliman for the rest of the Heresy.

This years Battleforce boxes have been revealed.
Some nice deals in there depending on the price.
I have a feeling some of those are going to be sitting around in stores for quite a while at random game stores

The EC box might appeal to those wanting to start an EC army like the dark angels box last year, but due to the limited number of units even available for the army most people who play EC already have everything in it.

The votann box actually has some recent models in it so that might be popular for the 5 people who play this army.

Nids are usually popular enough that I would expect this to sell out.

I've seen last years Tau box still collecting dust on store shelves so that one probably won't sell out at retail immediately.

Space marine and chaos marine boxes have a bunch of shit people already have.

The krieg box is probably going to go quick as it's what people probably really wanted from their army box in January. Especially since a freakin 200 model guard list just won LVO due to no one expecting someone who could actually play taking a horde list.

The other issue is that last year these boxes were $240, and they'll probably end up at $250 this time.

The Nid one is the only one that appeals to me. Fulgrim is the only thing I don't already have in the EC box and I already have pretty much all of the Krieg box contents too. But I don't have many of the big stompy bugs for my Nid army and I've been wanting the Neurotyrant for ages.

The Christmas boxes seem aggressively lame outside the krieg box. Also that space marine helmet box is super lame. They know the helmets people actually want. Theyre just too prideful.

They really are incapable of consneeding defeat.

That’s why we’ll get mk1 plastics in HH before the bestest mark they hate so much.

Ratards in AoS have the best box.
