Sorry, I was just airbrushing something and I remembered the time one of you retards said with a straight face you can't paint over primer for at least six days (weeks, months, years?)
One of the most Reddit takes seen outside Reddit. Stay retarded the shitty painters of Kiwifarms.

6 days? I prefer to leave it for hours and up to a couple of days(for rattle cans, but even that's over kill) to have completely cured(it does make a difference but if you've got multiple things in progress it's kind of irrelevant as you can just move between projects), but it's still paintable after an hour if you really want to so long as most of the solvent has flashed off. But a week is fucking ridiculous. If your primer actually takes that long to set, throw it the fuck away.

who the fuck said this.
>inb4 it was me
I swear Im not this retard. I wait like ~2 hours for primer, max.

I decided to put aside my first impressions of ADB and started The First Heretic. Emperor help me, I'm kinda starting to like Lorgar. He's nothing if not earnest.

Why did Big E decide to wait 100 years before shitting on Lorgar's life's work? He grew up on Planet Jerusalem, could at least help him off-ramp from his religion to the Imperial Truth.
I believe there is a bit of diologue that explains the emperor repeatedly told him to stop and he ignored him.

I’d be such a terrible marine, I’d get talked down to by a custardes ONCE and immediately start hanging out in the Lodge to vent and entertain the new ideas.

They are such douchebags in the BL stuff, even pre-heresy when there was no reason to, they’re just cunts, which is undoubtedly worse (as shown with that animation) with them having broads in their ranks.

Worse they are ineffective (chalk this up to BL incompetence) they’re not a brotherhood and do not fight with the pack mentality of the superior killing machine that the legionairy was. The point of a bodyguard is not an independent warrior.

Still hilarious that the Siege, with all its meandering and wasted time had a non-stop Custodes humiliation.
Not even just the siege, I was reading the short story where big E fights the orks with Horus ( great story, liked how it humanized the emperor and made him a bit vulnerable when fighting a beast orc) they all get killed by falling rocks and shit when jumping down a hole in the ground.
Because if the emperor weren't a huge fuckup, he wouldn't have had a bunch of primarchs and their legions turn traitor at the drop of a hat. Such is the cost of trying to back-fill lore long after the basic ideas have been set in stone.
I have a personal theory on why the reason the emperor is such a screw up. The emperor is logical In most things.... But as soon as his sons show up, the emperor secretly gives a shit and fucks up his plans in misplaced desire to help them. I think it's the only logical explanation besides incompetence, he may not even realize it, but he cares and that hurts him.

Which is then immediately ruined by referring to Angron as just a tool when he's got some scientist(I don't think it was Land?) seeing if they can remove the nails from his brain(obviously they didn't) among the many other massive fuckups of just not giving a shit or being an awful parent. Again, Angron leaving his allies to just get butchered for no reason when for his other sons he had no problem leaving them with the people they had found including allowing some of them well past their youth to be turned into space marines like Kor Phaeron, and plenty of other examples of just being dumb.

It's heavily implied the emperor tried many times in the past to unite humanity without appearing as the emperor, but repeatedly failed. It's easier to just chalk this up as being another failure. Almost as if a significant number of them were setup to fail after their usefulness ran out, and getting rid of the useless half of them would have been a possibility somehow in a controlled manner(which makes no sense considering how much power the legions had at their disposal) repeating what happened with the thunder warriors. But even that's only ever vaguely implied as a possibility and still incredibly stupid due to the risk, especially if the rebellion were triggered earlier than intended resulting in an uncontrolled cluterfuck.

Even within the initial few HH books that are generally regarded as being decent, Horus still flips way too fast(laughably so) due to bad writing just wanting to get to the point.

Is fantasy and 40k in the same universe or are they separate?
Separate, but connected by the same warp. White Dwarf 514 is the most recent explicit comment on it, where they say it's the same warp and gods, and explain why beings like Hashut and the GHR dont show up in 40K.
So yeah, they're making FemStodes actually canon instead of just ignoring it to death like they should have.
Not a fan of it, but it isn't like the BL writers, who all acknowledge the Codexes as being more important, would ignore it, isnt like the codexes are made without any of the hired staff knowing it.
Exactly, I’m not one of those “Chaos is actually the good guys” types (Aaron) but the Emperor’s plan is retarded
The whole Webway plan is so weird, the idea is
1: Make an artificial route to the Webway
2: Replace all warp travel and communication
??????
Now mankind is Chaos free.
The Eldar had a much more intact webway and we know what happened. It should be step one of 100, but no GW worker ever put a hint of what the next step would be.

I vaguely recall its because he tried to unite humanity many times but they fell over for human reasons. He was unable to be human and understand humans. Religion being a core reason (hence Imperial Truth after bruteforcing things) as well as being autistic as fuck and treating everyone as a disposable tool.

I wouldnt kind if they rewrote the HH (except siege) given their age, mixed up order, lack of focus and drive as well as the general lack of pacing in the early stages. I recall it being a rough plan for 10 books but it took off so they stretched it out. Retcons be damned.

I kinda hope they do scouring and unification of terra in book form but actually have a plan so they avoid the HH issue of 60 books and maybe 10-15 being important. Something like "its going to be x amount of books, we need to hit y plot points ans published in order"

it breaks my chuddy heart that they will piss on warhammer just to get a own on us, and the fags supports it. I swear if HRT never hit the nerds, maybe a lot of IPs would survive and do well. If it continues some Arab will who recently got into warhammer will buy GW like EA, we might get muslim space marines and hijabed sisters of battle, oh lord its so black pilling.
You do not understand how arab sheikhs work.

They bought SNK, and in the latest Fatal Fury they had to add Salvatore Ganacci and Cristiano Ronaldo to the roster. They just want stupid fun stuff that's totally off tone.

What is going to happen is you'll get space marines riding Lamborghini land raiders and their primarch will be Salt Bae.

It was originally just supposed to be the first 3 or 4, that's why those books are so consistent in pacing and tone(except for the part about Horus falling) and it got dragged out after the fact because of how well they sold. And of course GW just saw it as an opportunity to have a bunch of writers fill in random shit, for an "event" that was occurring in a dozen different locations at once(hence being an out of order mess) since it wasn't particularly linear up until the siege of terra at the end.

That's why the siege of terra series was short, and didn't need to involve hopping around to 10 other legions that were just heading to terra anyway and focused on the ones that were already there. The scouring should also mostly be fairly linear in terms of events since it wouldn't initially be scattered around the entire galaxy including groups that hadn't even spoken to eachother in years.

The unification of terra would be awful. It's bad enough they fleshed out so much with the HH series in the first place, we don't need the unification wars. We already got the emperor's initial visit to the mechanicum and the wrap up of the unification of terra along with dealing with the last of the thunder warriors and their primarch, as well as establishing the the high lords of terra in Valdor. Malcador, the creation of the custodes, and the rest should just be left as-is. This is the same company that setup Basilio Fo and his astartes plague to be involved in the terminus decree, and then of all things changed it to a fucking prank telling the grey knights to keep grandpa on his chair in the event he gets up and gets lost with dementia. Do you really want any of that kind of writing involved in the unification wars? This is also the same company that had The Emperor and Horus playing fucking yu-gi-oh at the end of the siege of terra btw, which is funny considering TTS, but also simultaneously stupid.

Quite an optimistic forecast. I’m fully expecting we see every single tiny blurb ever made about the scouring filled out in excruciating detail. Essentially like the HH series in reverse, everyone starts at Terra then the plot goes a million different ways as they go across the galaxy.

Along with, of course, the same retarded shit like the Cabal, perpetuals, Erda, etc. we saw with HH. At the very least, almost certainly more king in yellow retardation from Abnett.

There's a shocking amount of people who still don't understand how veterans work in Spess Mreens. The amount of times I have had to re-explain that "all 1st company are veterans, not every veteran is first company" is like my own mini groundhogs day.
I still don't like their helmets.
It's like a less cool Mrk 4 and Maximus wasn't very cool to begin with.
