Anybody ITT who's read a bunch of the Horus Heresy books willing to recommend a few that're worth reading?
So far I've read:
-Betrayer
-Fulgrim
-the first heretic
-and one or two of the short stories

I've got a major preference for stories about the traitor legions but I'll read anything that's especially good (my girlfriend got me the first 2 books of liber chaotica for my birthday this year and I fucking love them)

Not really, everything from 7 is going to be ported over into 8 stat and skill wise. So if it sucked in 7th it will suck in 8th.
 
Guilliman is also making new space marines, which look to have Mark 8 armours with Mark 4 helmets, because Guilliman is all for nostalgia and that way they don't have to do two armour sets for 30k and 40k.

So, after finding out about how Starcraft was somewhat inspired by this franchise, I decided to check out some pictures.

And HOLY SHIT the art work looks metal as fuck.

Currently waiting for Dawn of War to download, but in the meantime, where's a good place to start with this series? I heard the lore was pretty deep and interesting.

Horus heresy novels since they take place before the main story.

While playing Dawn of War and hopefully its expansions too figure out what faction is your favorite and work from there.

So these Primaris Space Marines are to Space Marines what Space Marines are to a Guardsman? I imagine its my love of the Guard and the idea of the common man against the horrors of the galaxy but the idea of taking your super soldiers and turning them into super duper soldiers is a little boring. I prefer the idea of scattering them into existing chapters and that way the can serve more as elite special forces rather than an unstoppable army of doom.

Since it was Gulliman that made them I can see this reigniting a lot of the Ultra Marine hate too.

Also I'm still a little sad about Creed so you can just ignore my bitterness, I'm sure they grow on me after some time. They do seem kind of badass.

Someone leaked the new Goblin roster for Blood Bowl Season 2. The Doom Diver and Hooligan are new, we don't know what Swoop is yet, but people are thinking its some sort of throw teammate attack. Meanwhile the Hooligan is assumed to be errata, as Disturbing Presence and Dirty Player would both be DP in footnotes, and Dirty Player would make far more sense for a Hooligan player.

The important thing is that GW seems to be putting some effort into making the stunty rosters a tad less of a chore to play, while still maintaining their absolute garbage chances of winning. The problem with goblins traditionally is once their toys are taken away by the ref, they aren't actually fun anymore, while Halflings, by virture of having Treemen who aren't liable to eat their ammo, are more able to do shenenigans late game
