The last one I did. Contains Forgefiend/Maulerfiend, Hellbrute and anime parts. Armor panels and spikes are printed. The scythe, chain and the skull headpiece and the horns used to belong to a weeb figure. Eyepiece used to be the head for a War Dog.
Intended to be used as chaos knight lancer.
Ah, a fellow seeker of perfection. Glorious work.

I mostly agree with some points he makes in this video but it comes down to it, Games-workshop has largely been around since the early 80s and late 70s while other tabletop studios have only been around for a decade.
I only skimmed the video, so these might have been addressed. But if AAA gaming is anything to go by, there's a large amount of "people" that need to be part of the "zeitgeist". So much so you can use the same arguments find-and-replace 40k with AAA and other games with indies.

They will complain endlessly about AAA but won't leave. They will make any and all excuses not to play indie. "It's pixel shit" "troonshine" "it's a dead game" until the game goes viral, at which point they will suddenly claim they were there all along. And yet 40k hasn't shit the bed to the degree of something like Concord or Star Wars.

And as @p1138 mentioned in autistic detail (while also skimming the subject), there's the elephant in the room that most of these 40k killers are complete dogshit, and wanting 40k2 is a losing battle. Trench Crusade was a successful kickstarter with no game to back it up and relied on discord drama to keep the hype going. Star Wars Legion was hyped as the cheap, better playing version of 40k, only to jack up their prices to an insane degree. Ditto Infinity, Fallout, and Halo. Battletech is shit and relies on nostalgia for a 90s Dos game to carry it. Historicals are boring and policed by rivet counters. Xwing ran out of meaningful new releases, is a dead IP, and is made by a company that didn't seem interested in continuing. CMON collapsed as a business.

Maybe I'm out of the loop, but K47 was doing well before production issues slowed down the momentum and bumped up the price of certain kits.

Perhaps board games are a better example. I have a small amount of 2010s era board games. All are great, but it's difficult to get people to play them over Monoply, which they hate.

I swear most of the time people who complain abou such stuff, it just boils down "What if I catch ze gayness!!"
It poisons the community.

It poisons the community.
What, the community you don't participate in? Can't make the trannies feel unwelcome if you aren't there to ignore them. The way you talk about it, you don't even seem to know for sure if they're there for 40k. You're letting the possibility of trannies make you into a non participant in your own hobby. That's disgusting. You've effectively hobby cucked yourself. If I can travel to an event in San Francisco of all places and play 40k for a weekend, and not even see a tranny in the venue among 200+ people, let alone be stuck having to play against one, pop into game stores in the area while I'm there just for the sake of curiosity and still not see trannies playing 40k(they're definitely out and about in the vicinity)... where the hell are you that that 40k at the game store is the equivalent of Rupauls Drag Queen Hour? I'm pretty sure you're in the UK from what I remember, but since when the fuck does the UK out-do San Francisco for trannies? Colorado(also mostly liberal with rainbow shit around), Texas, and Vegas don't have these issues either.

Perhaps board games are a better example. I have a small amount of 2010s era board games. All are great, but it's difficult to get people to play them over Monoply, which they hate.
Sure, but do you know why? How many of those games do you have can you explain the bulk of the mechanics to a new player in 5 minutes while setting it up? Probably not many. Yes, people hate Monopoly, but they can wrap their heads around the bulk of the mechanics. Some fucking euro game with 13 different colors of wooden cubes, 3 phases, 4 victory trackers, etc. is going to bore most people to death before you've got the thing out of the box and on the table ready to play. Catan, is fucking boring as that game is, still sells(even though everyone and their grandmother should have a copy by now) and gets played because people can grasp the mechanics quickly. Nuance to win the game, that's a whole other set of problems but they can at least attempt to play without feeling like they're just fumbling around like a retard. Even something simpler like Root is still too complex of a game for the mindset of the average person even considering a boardgame, especially when you hand them the faction cards and tell them they have to pick one and it's all different playstyles and they won't even be playing by the same rules you're playing to just attempt to mimic.

They will complain endlessly about AAA but won't leave. They will make any and all excuses not to play indie. "It's pixel shit" "troonshine" "it's a dead game" until the game goes viral, at which point they will suddenly claim they were there all along.
You're one to talk? You make excuses to not play tabletop games as well. I can at least articulate why I don't like some games I've played, or perhaps only skimmed through the rules for and found something I didn't like. You just complain about the local store having a rainbow flag on the door and a tranny manga bookshelf.

There was a user a couple of pages back talking about how they prefer to play 2nd edition 40k and they don't like the look of the new models they see in the store. That person still games, and still goes to the store without making excuses to avoid it. Their ideal version of the hobby might be ancient at this point, but they aren't letting a fucking rainbow or tranny flag sign on a door cuck them out of their own hobby.

Could you imagine the field day these trannies would have if they knew people like you avoided shit because of a sticker or sign on a door? They'd be ecstatic that it kept out one of the evil chuds. That is how they poison a community, people letting them do it.

Cant fucking wait for 11th edition this summer to be orkz vs space marines, and they fuck up the boyz kit AGAIN so bad they have to keep using the kit theyve been using and they have to delist the new hotness.
I don't know if they're willing to fuck that up again that badly for a second time in a row. Now if they changed the data sheet at the edition change to make the previous new boyz kit "work" and fuck the previous ork players in the process.. that's something I can see them doing.

So i recently acquired a hobby holy grail for myself. The old armorcast cathedral. These have printed inserts for the stained glass in the windows. Obviously this means I've got to do interior lighting. My knee-jerk reaction is the woodland scenics lighting kits, but obviously anything really would work, even a battery push light as it doesnt have to be small or subtle.

what would you guys reccomend?

Thank you for proving my point.
I don't see how.

They've poisoned every community they've touched. Video games, board games, TTRPGs. Why would wargaming be any different?

Even the shop itself changed. From a nerd shop to a gay shop with some nerd things in it.

*a wall of text of how not-mad you are*
That's quite a fiction you've thought of.

Nigga, you can still find people to play normal board games, videogames or TTRPGs. You are literally flailing your hands and yelling "DA TROONS!!! DA TROONS EVERYWHEEEREE!!!"

Okay, how is it a gayshop? Do they sell strap on dildos or gay sex books?

Dude, the gay cat just likes to stir up shit. Don’t argue with it.

You know those space marine statues older GW stores have? The mk7 marine in a codex pose?

I someone pushes one over and you’re under it. I hate gays.

The thing is that you are always going to have sexual and gender minorities in our niche hobbies. Those on the margins of society, whether by identity or interests, tend to group together. Not to mention the autism.

The way to prevent a game shop from becoming a gay shop is to ensure that the space is for gaming. If a trans person brings their army for a game and they are just there to game, their identity doesn’t matter. If they come with an agenda, then you enforce rules of behavior.

That's quite a fiction you've thought of.
A fiction I thought of? You're the one afraid to go to a game store due to
Mine has a bunch of gay flags in the window and heavily promotes trans manga.
So I'm not sure what fiction you're talking about? If it was about the board game commentary, tell me how I'm wrong about most people not wanting to try board games outside of the mainstream shit you'd find at Target or Walmart.

If it's about you being afraid of the tranny shit, you keep posting it as an excuse for not playing anything. You've done so multiple times. I'm also not angry at all, just calling it how I see it. You roam around in tabletop gaming threads talking about how you might do this, might do that, think about playing this or that, and then eventually come up with excuse after excuse to never actually play anything. I don't even mean current competitive rules 10th edition 40k... you don't seem to fucking play anything. You even managed to come up with excuses to not play board games in the 40k thread.

Is it because you're incapable of just saying "No" to a tranny? Are you afraid that being in their vicinity will make you gay somehow? Like I said, we're talking about a game store, not a speed dating mixer or some shit. It's really not that difficult. You want to talk about trannies poisoning the community? You let them in, you let them keep you out. I don't let trannies ruin my hobbies, you've let possibility of trannies ruin yours.

Now I know the UK and Europe have gaming clubs that just aren't much of a thing in the US. But it's not like you mention playing at one of those either. You have mentioned having a friend to play games with, cool. But why limit yourself to one opponent for games? Seems like it would get boring unless you've both got multiple factions to swap between for some variety, but even then just playing against the same person all the time would still get boring. But that shouldn't stop you from being able to play games with other people. But apparently some rainbow flags in the store window wards you off like garlic to a vampire or something?

Fix your head before trying to tell others how "angry" they are just because you can't handle the truth about being scared of fags.

Do you also let them chase you out of your own hobbies?

Since you've got runs of room in this thing, basically any hobby LED and battery kit would work. Woodland Scenics as you mentioned, anything from a model train shop, the Mr Hobby LEDs(the smaller versions) could work but if you want a one step solution? Flickering LED tea lights. If the stained glass is transparent or translucent one of those LED tea lights if you can find one that's subtle enough would give it an interesting candle flicker effect for the windows, they're usually pretty small and you can just turn it on and set it underneath.

Wasn’t the last one stripped down and a letdown?
It tried to re-invent the wheel like 2 did to 1. But instead of adapting Company of Heroes to 40k like DoW2, they tried to make some moba crossbreed and everyone hated it. They at least seem like they're trying this go around, ain't no way we get more front flipping terminators
