getting mogged by the Minotaurs and they weren’t involved but their snobbery would’ve been at home in Huron’s crash out.
On the topic of Badab War Chapters - If they ever were to revisit what Forgeword attempted, how would they even go about it? It would have to be some kind of HH spinoff. It's not like those chapters are lacking in fan interest. You could bring them back slowly with killteams and campaigns but creating the Badab conflict over again in 42k would be asking too much.

Realistically, I think the only revisitation of the Badab War you'll ever possibly get is as a Black Library novel, similar to the recent one for the Siege of Vraks. Even if MkVII power armor is revived for 30k (conceivably for a Scouring campaign), I doubt GW will ever go back to placing a game in the 40k era prior to Primaris/Great Rift/Guilliman. I think you'll more likely see a new Space Marine vs Space Marine campaign inspired by the Badab War, which would be a good idea from GW to give more narrative inspiration to intra-Imperium battles when most players have Space Marines and other Imperium armies. I've had this sort of thought before back when the Lion returned, feeling that he ought to be at least somewhat antagonistic to Guilliman in how the Imperium ought to be run, thus creating potential for skirmishes between Guilliman-aligned and Lion-aligned Imperium forces.

I dont think its happening, Badab at the end of the day is a very chaos backed conflict its just the initial marines used loyalist gear. They *could* do a FW styled campaign story for the War of the False primarch. 5 of the nastiest hardcore loyalist chapters (Carcharodons,Charnel Guard,Death Eagles,Flesh Eaters,Red Talons) are called in to fight *ELEVEN* traitor chapters who aligned with a figure calling themselves a primarch

I like how half the arguments in favor of Femstodes were "uwu muscle mommies,
Do I have to go over there and spam them with more Catachan women?! MUSCLE MOMMIES WERE ALREADY THERE IN CANON!

What's the current "faction must have vaginas" drama over? I am tired of keeping up.
For what it's worth, I think it's about to crest

A new custodes model has a female face.

I don't think they would bother. The chapters were/are just a paint scheme at the end of the day. The exceptions being late war Red Corsairs (which I'm surprised are getting models at all) and Raptors, which are just SM with some more tacticool gear. ie. Primaris.

A far better thing to do would be to write a new SM civil war. We already have hints of it with more mutant chapters not being happy with primaris. I doubt GW would do that for risk of seeming anti-vax or some shit.

Sorry to bring it up again, but this once again an oldhammer vs newhammer problem.

But for sake of argument, let's say they do a Badab v2. I think they would quietly retcon things away like how Steel Legion were quietly retconned from armageddon to give Krieg more limelight. Red Corsairs vs Raptors and maybe a couple of other chapters would be the focus and all the others would be dropped. Got to make room for Ultramarines after all.

That would mean creating *gasp* NON PRIMARIS MARINES FOR 40k

They've already had various releases for models not in MK X armor in 10th, characters, black templar stuff, the terminators, and so on. If it doesn't happen in 11th, it'll be 12th when everything just goes back to being space marines, with no distinction because they'll all be primaris by then anyway making the distinction pointless.

Kinda want to do a Marines Malevolent army using the new corsairs to represent their hobo armor of bastardized scavenger shit and mix it with HH beakies.

Cause Primaris suck…….. dick

Just a question for your farmers. Does your group play WYSIWYG? My group doesn't really enforce this rule in regards to what equipment is fielding in regards to characters and if your fielding squads you have to mark a base with something to notate what they are using.

No.

No one except THAT guy will care about proxying or wysiwyg as long as its the same/similar/obviously that model and the weapon doesnt change the model substantially (in particular, models sharing a chasis)

Just remind me if its a different weapon and half the time I wouldnt know anyway (esp with Xenos armies)

WYSIWYG is a ploy put forward by Big Magnet. They want you to stress over your loadouts but I could not tell you say, one T'au weapon from another, they all look like rectangular slabs to me. And this is coming from a craftworlds player who can tell a heavy shuriken catapult from a shuriken cannon.

Badab war was such kino, it's marine wank done right, and tyrant's legion army list is cool as fuck. I wish GW ditched competitive scene and did more narrative stuff like that.

No.

1. Magnetizing infantry is for people with no life
2. As long as you can differentiate which guy has the special gun, the explosive satchel, whatever, no one is going to care. Could be because the model's gun looks different, maybe their helmet is a different color, maybe you just hang a rubberband around the model. Even at tournaments this is usually a non-issue except for the largest of shit and even their primary concern is that you and your opponent can tell it apart.
