Unfortunately, I've always been hesitant about that because sharing your hobby photos is an obvious OPSEC risk if you're inclined to show off your work anywhere else.
Easy fix, only post minis on the farms lol

Anyways, here's a dark angels blade guard I've finished up.

There's no cyberpsychosis in WH40k.
Yeah, its not like the AdMech is known for being hilariously indifferent to human suffering on a degree that the rest of the IoM finds appalling (the Primaris dreadnoughts they cooked up have a nasty habit of killing the guy inside after a couple of decades of internment which has made the Space Marines really, really unhappy), or that they pride themselves on purging themselves of human frailties and weaknesses. Or that there's an entire branch that worships destruction for its own sake.

Just because they aren't cackling madly with glee at mass murder that doesn't mean they haven't completely abandoned their humanity, which is ultimately what cyberpsychosis is. The fact they're so high-functioning makes them even worse, arguably.

Didn't know that one. Then again I loathe CY lore and the Primaris.

r that they pride themselves on purging themselves of human frailties and weaknesses.
To be fair, that's a good thing in a setting as bad as WH40k, and I didn't say they were good.

Well, some do go crazy with knowledge and such, but my point is that unless you're given poor quality bionics, replacements are usually okay. I recall how in the WH40k rpg being a full cyborg was an advantage due to the increased toughness.

Has anyone played around with stls for carry cases or transport for your mini?

I tried a simple 12 slot box for killteam and its nice, but seeing if anyone else has taken it to the next level.

Before they died I got some of those boxes Duncan was suggesting from Joanne's Fabrics, and shoved some sheet metal in the bottom to stick magnetized minis to. Work pretty well, I have a wireframe rack in my Workshop and they stack in there very nicely. $9 I think for the small ones, a bit more for the bigger ones.

The exact name was: Super Stacker 14" x 10" Clear Plastic Document Storage Box. I believe the brand name was spun off as "Advantus": https://www.walmart.com/ip/Advantus-Super-Stacker-Document-Box-Clear-36873/426970018

They have a different one that's the same size (or damned close) but about 2.5-3x as tall, which work for larger minis (dreads et all).

The piece of metal I put in there was a "8 in. x 12 in. Galvanized Steel Flashing Shingle." Got it at the local hardware store for about $2. It's a bit too big by about 2-2.5", but what I just did was hammer it to a 90 degree angle on that side and glued it into place with some craft glue.

If not for magnets and metal, packing foam would probably be pretty cheap to purchase too. Since it's square it'd just be a matter of cutting holes for the minis.

As for 3d printed ones, that might be outside the use case for a 3d printer, although I'm interested in this "12 slot box" you tried out? If I had one of those fancy laser cutters and could make something out of MDF that would definitely be on my short list of things to try.

Yeah this is the easy way to go. There's plenty of cheap storage boxes you can find of various size, and then just cut down a steel shingle as necessary with some snips(steel flashing shingles are really thin) to glue into the bottom of the box. For enough minis for a kill team? Something like a 2.1 liter really useful box, 7.5" x 4" x 4"should cover that, or just lay out your minis and see what'll fit and compare it to the size chart https://www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk/usa/html/boxdetails.php#gsc.tab=0

Won't be fancy, but it'll be cheap and should be plenty sturdy.

12 slot. I made the shorter lid and it was a tight fit. Did the taller lid for comfort.

Same guy also does a 25 slot.

Ive seen some clever ones that have a sliding tray where the base goes under a lip and slides across to hold it in place but i wouldnt use it with anything with a nice base.

Ive been tempted to get a makeup case that looks like a travel bag but the compartments are usually a bit tight for models.

If you don’t agree with a certain political spectrum and fight back on people who promote your family’s doxx, a certain wh40k micro celebrity will try to get you banned from adeptcon if you dare defend yourself.

You wanna try explaining who this is and why this twitter drama matters?

Kya is a well known model painter who is in several pockets of trench crusade and gw. She is a well known pick me. Yes it’s twitter drama but it shows how bad gw had fallen to allow a woman like her have a sliver of power.

She is constantly in talks with Mike brooks (I hate this man). She is friends with known doxxers in the twitter warhammer community too.

That’s why I said it’s up to you to decide to care lol.

As always, women in male spaces make a mess of things, just as men in women’s spaces make a mess of the people in those spaces.

How entirely expected.

I have literally never heard of this person, I guess she's just internet famous on twitter?
Twitter and YouTube. She is friends with major 40K YouTubers like majorkill. She got featured in white dwarf too.

She popped up as a nerd thot a while back, tried to get into MTG, bounced out of it, inserted herself into the 40k scene after covid and begging some rando vendors to sponsor her slop. Apparently likes to shove her kid into her content, doesn't hide her husband, but the entire thing is questionable. She doesn't even get many subscribers or views. Just constantly surrounds herself in drama while producing slop. Can't even mention gundam without her trying to generate some kind of beef no one gives a shit about. Apparently doesn't even do her own paintjobs, as she just does some base coats and then has someone else do "paintover" work?

The last pick-me with a "norn queen" name(alexis) managed to turn out to be a mess, I'm sure this one will eventually as well.

Kya is one of the cluster b milkshakes that are trying to spearhead the "This is a great hobby but I hate everything about it and it'll be better once it's all about my shitty takes on politics instead" thing. Fem Space Marines and the like. Her hobby isn't 40k/TC/Gundam/etc, it's "fixing chud hobbies to spite the chuds."

Of note, she's not just in "several pockets of Trench Crusade." If I remember right, she had been made a volunteer community manager of their TC discord they made after the 28mag guys had to break away after they went mask off.
